Daniel Castro - I'll Play The Blues For You Hotney 8 Streams • 3 years ago

Album: No Surrender https://www.danielcastro.com/ Buy: https://www.ebay.com/itm/324741970349 , Albert King Cover, Lyrics:
If you're down and out and you feel real hurt
Come on over to the place where I work
And all your loneliness I'll try to soothe
I'll play the #Blues for you

Don't be afraid come on in
You might run across some of your old friends
All your loneliness I gotta soothe
I'll play the blues for you

I got no big name and I ain't no big star
I play the blues for you on my guitar
All your loneliness I'll try to soothe
I 'll play the blues for you

As he grew up in the L.A. area, Daniel was heavily influenced by the blues greats Albert KIng, B.B. King, and Albert Collins. As a kid, Daniel would hang outside clubs like the Golden Bear in Huntington Beach to hear these blues legends perform and wait for a glimpse of them through the curtains. After cutting his teeth in South Central L.A. blues clubs with “Mighty Mouth” Delmar Evans, who worked with the Johnny Otis Show, Castro backed other great artists from Otis’ band, including Pee Wee Crayton and Little Esther Phillips. He also recorded and toured with many other artists including legendary Small Faces singer-bassist Ronnie Lane.

David Deacon Poetry [Lyric Video] Hotney 5 Streams • 3 years ago

“Poetry” – the new single from David Deacon’s upcoming album, Four.
With ten vibrant tracks to look forward to, Four spans a range of emotions. From the uncaring attitude of “No Never Mind” to the heartfelt emotion of tracks like “Poetry” and everything in between, there is something for everyone on this album. “The songs ‘Poetry’ and ‘Hard Time’ are bookends to the same relationship” remarks David. “Probably no more needs to be said that isn’t said in the songs themselves”.

Lyrics:
If I knew what had sent you
Could I ask it to remain?
If I witnessed all your thoughts
Would they always be the same?
If I looked down at your shadow
Would it always touch the ground?
If it had no other reason
Would it always be around?

Poetry just falls out of my mouth when I’m talking about you
Poetry just falls out of my mouth

I’ve been watching at the corners
For a chance to come inside
I don’t think I remember
What it was I would confide
It was something in the mirror
It was something left behind
It was always when you touched me
That you seemed so very kind

Poetry just falls out of my mouth when I’m talking about you
Poetry just falls out of my mouth

In the silence in the room
When you stayed through the night
There was a sense of something moving
A velvet flicker into sight
Maybe silk in the blackness
Where the hammer touch ignites
To the thought and to the feelings
Hard fingers touch so light
In the night and in my room
I hated missing you at all
When the poets on the high wire
Only beauty takes the fall
You are whispers, you are strands
You are almost nothing more
Light from a dark window
The night’s darkness at the door

Poetry just falls out of my mouth when I’m talking about you
Poetry just falls out of my mouth
Poetry just falls out of my mouth when I’m talking about you
Poetry just falls out of my mouth

Gary B.B. Coleman - The Sky is Crying Hotney 4 Streams • 3 years ago

Album: Too Much Weekend https://amzn.to/2SwXcKO, Lyrics:The sky is cryin....Can't you see the tears roll down the street
The sky is cryin....Can't you see the tears roll down the street
I've been looking for my baby
And I wonder where can she be
I saw my baby early one morning....She was walking on down the street
I saw my baby early this morning....She was walking on down the street
You know it hurt me, hurt me so bad
It made my poor heart skip a beat
I've got a real real real real bad feelin
That my baby she don't love me no more
I've got a real real bad feelin that my baby don't love me no more
You know the sky, the sky's been cryin
Can you see the tears roll down my nose

"The Sky Is Crying" is a song that has become a blues standard. It was written and recorded by Elmore James in 1959

John O'Leary - Drinking Again Hotney 7 Streams • 3 years ago

Album: As Blue As I Can Be - https://www.johnoleary.co.uk/ Lyrics:
I've been drinking again
cos those Blues
keep following me
Repeat
Yes I've been looking
at my future
A bottle of whiskey's there

I've been drinking whiskey
& sometimes
I take it with coke
Repeat
You know what
I'm talking about
If I can't break this habit
You know I'll never
do right again

You know I call
Called my Baby & begged
Baby Baby please Baby
Baby please
come back home child
Repeat

She said
You've been drinking
too much whiskey
& I won't be
your friend no more
Get outta here boy
Don't come around my door

I've been drinking again
cos those Blues
keep on following me
Repeat
Can't break this habit

If you know the good Lord
won't help me
Then maybe just maybe
one more Jack Daniels will

Thanks to Lona Popoki for the lyrics

John O'Leary is one of the early exponents of the blues harmonica in the UK. Originally from Ireland, John's family was part of the mass migration to England in the aftermath of World War 2. In London's thriving jazz clubs of the 1960's, he first heard blues harp legend Cyril Davies with Alexis Korner's Blues Incorporated. John bought his first harp in 1962 and initially learned by watching Davies. Inevitably, he discovered the great masters of the instrument John Lee Williamson, Little Walter, Noah Lewis, Big Walter Horton, James Cotton, Sonny Terry and Junior Wells whose influences are still readily discernible in his playing.
John's career has seen his involvement with a wide range bands and musicians over five decades. Beginning in 1965 as a founder member of Savoy Brown's Blues Band through to the present day John O'Leary & Sugarkane, he has continued to maintain a prominent position on the European blues scene.
Over the years John has performed with noted bands and musicians such as Donovan, Noel Redding, Eric Bell, Kim Simmonds, Champion Jack Dupree, Alexis Korner, Roger Chapman, Dave Walker, Tony McPhee, Dave Kelly, Dick Heckstall-Smith, Aynsley Dunbar, Keef "Half Breed" Hartley, Victor Brox, The John Dummer Blues Band & Mainsqueeze. Today, as well as leading his own band Sugarkane, he is concurrently a member of the legendary rockers The Downliners Sect and co-leader of the John O'Leary-Alan Glen All Star Blues Review; which for the past 10 years has hosted annual tributes to Muddy Waters, Junior Wells and Cyril Davies.
In 2011 and 2013 John was voted No 2 in the harmonica category by BLUES MATTERS magazine's contributors and writers.

Lyrics:

Ey

Lyrics / Letra:

Te gusta que sea mala, diabla,
y que me moje si me hablas.
Sé que te mueres cuando soy, atrevida,
y que te excitas si me pongo agresiva.

Dime lo que quieres,
que lo voy hacer.
Quiero que te quedes,
y hacerlo otra vez.

Y baby quien iba a pensarlo,
que aunque quisimos ocultarlo,
no pudimos evitarlo,
lo dijimos sin hablarlo.

Y con tan solo una mirada,
supe que estaba enamorada,
No hizo falta decir nada.
No hizo falta decir nada.

Porque cuando hacemos el amor,
no hay nada que se le parezca.
Cuando hacemos el amor,
baby cuando hacemos el amor.

Nos olvidamos del reloj,
y no queremos que amanezca.
Cuando hacemos el amor,
baby cuando hacemos el amor.

Lady… 2022, Retumban las bocinas,
¿quién llegó? La nena de Argentina.

Chesca x Mariah Angeliq - “Bicha” Lyrics:

When I get it I spend it

If you aint talking about a check, then im sliding

Bicha
Chesca
It's Mariah baby
Chesca
Oye si tú no eres bicha no estás en nada
Jhon Paul El increible
Hache
Una bichota también una bicha

LYRICS:

Y si me miras baby
Te enamoras de esta nalgota

Cuando me pillan por ahí
Dicen que yo estoy bien ricota
Y si me miras baby

Cualquiera no me guaya

Y si me miras baby
Te enamoras de esta nalgota

Cuando me pillan por ahí
Dicen que yo estoy bien ricota
Y si me miras baby
