F.K.Ü. - The Horror and the Metal (Official Music Video) Hotney 7 Streams • 3 years ago

“Never part of any trend, it’s horror and metal till the end”

The closing line to the title track of the new album pretty much sums up the essence of F.K.Ü.
Heavily inspired by 80’s horror movies and crossover thrash metal (mostly S.O.D. to be honest) the seed for what was to become F.K.Ü. was planted as early as 1987, but it would take another 10 years before the guys got their act together and actually created some music for the world to hear. Back then in the late 90’s, playing this type of music was probably the most uncool thing you could do, but they’ve always stuck to their knives and done their own thing and never followed trends in the current music scene. Now, after 5 albums and countless live shows, F.K.Ü. returns with their most defining and hard-hitting album to date: The Horror And The Metal.

The album is a simple mission statement and serves to cement the two fundamental pillars of F.K.Ü. Horror is the overall theme of the band and its movies from the 80’s serve as their main lyrical and visual inspiration, and Metal is what runs through these guys' veins. With one foot in Bay Area thrash metal and one in east coast crossover metal, they have created their own concoction of thrashing horror metal anthems sure to ignite any mosh pit.

Once again produced by the band's singer (who we in this case will refer to by his birth name) Lawrence Mackrory (BLOODBATH, KATATONIA, VOMITORY), the band locked themselves into Rorysound Studios in early 2023 to begin recording the new album. When they after a couple of months finally emerged through the front door (not unlike how Jack Torrance broke through the bathroom door with an axe) they had created a horror metal masterpiece that will eliminate any uncertainty of what their intentions are. Although they never left, it’s time for everyone to know that F.K.Ü. is back!

Quote from the band:
“We’ve never before felt this confident about an album. We wanted to be direct and to the point and we really trimmed the fat off these songs and made them the best they can be. Every second on the album needed to be engaging and we really feel we have achieved that. When it all came together we felt that, instead of creating an intricate concept album, we should just be as to the point as possible. That’s why we simply decided to call the album “The Horror And The Metal”, to just make it as defining as possible, a mission statement of what this band is about.”

F.K.Ü´s new single The Horror and the Metal is released October 13 on Despotz Records, their new album with the same name is set for February 9th.

Lyrics:
All systems go, ready to explode
The mark of four, a secret revealed
Decipher the code
Behold a lethal fusion
Greater than you’ve ever seen
At the portal of power, ready to feed
The horror metal machine

Fire! Forged in fire
Starting to expire
Twisted into form
A perfect storm

We mosh! We’ll never stop
Don’t need to strive to stay on top
You scream!
When the horror and the metal collide
We thrash! Until the end
Those feeble minds can’t comprehend
You die! When the horror and the metal
Consumes your soul

A monumental merger of the finest arts
A fearsome force that will prevail
Never to be torn apart
The horror and the metal
You know they blend rather well
A marriage made south of hell
Where moshers still dwell

Fire! Forged in fire
Starting to expire
Twisted into form
A perfect storm

We mosh! We’ll never stop
Don’t need to strive to stay on top
You scream!
When the horror and the metal collide
We thrash! Until the end
Those feeble minds can’t comprehend
You die! When the horror and the metal
Consumes your soul

We emerge from the darkness to kill
Out of pure enjoyment and the thrill
We’ll tear your flesh and soul apart
And cut out your heart
Cause we see horror as art

We mosh! We’ll never stop
Don’t need to strive to stay on top
You scream!
When the horror and the metal collide
We thrash! Until the end
Those feeble minds can’t comprehend
You die! Never part of any trend
It’s horror and metal till the end

RIKA - My Fellow Showman (Official Music Video) Hotney 6 Streams • 3 years ago

#RIKA #MYFELLOWSHOWMAN

My Fellow Showman started as a voice note I made in my bedroom, and grew into what is my proudest and most vulnerable track to date. It talks about the fakeness we present one another in society when we are all knowingly going through something. The song is in ¾ which gives the feel a mental waltz. The song starts with ‘Dance around how I feel, the crowd watches on’ depicts how showing emotions is a dance we all partakes in while everybody watches. I out my all in this song, from doing the vocal production, co-directing the video and building it from the ground up, I hope you can feel who I am and my message in the audio and visuals. I hope you can feel what I feel.

Lyrics:
VERSE
Dance around how I feel
the crowd watches on…

Even if I feel the pain,
The show must go on.

Like a crack in a wall,
With a band aid on top.
yeah it hurts just to smile,
But it’s pretty enough to fool...

Dance around how you feel,
the crowd watches on…

PRE CHORUS
Why does it matter how I am perceived
When everyone’s lying to me?

CHORUS
Why do we lie
Everybody’s a little broken, just a little broken
I do believe
In a world that sugarcoated,
My fellow showman, you're broken like me

you're broken like me

VERSE 2

Miss a couple of steps,
Feel the mask slip away,
Lost the words in the space,
‘Tween my mouth and my brain.

How do you like me now?
As I exit the stage.
i dont care for applause.
I won’t bow for your grace.

CHORUS
Tell me why do we lie?
Everybody’s a little broken, just a little broken
I do believe
In a world that’s sugarcoated
my fellow showman youre broken like me
you’re broken like me
youre broken like me
Ahhhhhh

(Miss a couple of steps
Feel the mask slip away
Lost the words in the space,
‘Tween my mouth and my brain.

How do you like me now
As I exit the stage
i dont care for applause
I won’t bow for your Grace.)

why do we lie?
why do we lie?
my fellow showman you’re broken like me
you’re broken like

The Beatles - Now And Then (Official Music Video) Hotney 4 Streams • 3 years ago

Now and Then's eventful journey to fruition took place over five decades and is the product of conversations and collaborations between the four Beatles that go on to this day. The long mythologised John Lennon demo was first worked on in February 1995 by Paul, George and Ringo as part of The Beatles Anthology project but it remained unfinished, partly because of the impossible technological challenges involved in working with the vocal John had recorded on tape in the 1970s. For years it looked like the song could never be completed. But in 2022 there was a stroke of serendipity. A software system developed by Peter Jackson and his team, used throughout the production of the documentary series Get Back, finally opened the way for the uncoupling of John’s vocal from his piano part. As a result, the original recording could be brought to life and worked on anew with contributions from all four Beatles. This remarkable story of musical archaeology reflects The Beatles’ endless creative curiosity and shared fascination with technology. It marks the completion of the last recording that John, Paul and George and Ringo will get to make together and celebrates the legacy of the foremost and most influential band in popular music history.

Best of Vocal Trance Mix HD Hotney 5 Streams • 3 years ago

I've gathered here some of my old and recent favorite vocal trance tracks. I mixed these 22 recordings with one purpose only, to share my love of beautiful & soothing female (most of the time) vocals. I did insert some instrumental here and there. I uploaded the video in hd but after using the "resizing" option of youtube, it was not anymore and I can't manage to change it back so... increase the volume, close your eyes. It will put you in a trance and keep you there. Enjoy.

About the new single (He Is) The Antichrist, the band had this to say: "Brace yourselves for this high octane thrasher chronicling the evil deeds of young Damien Thorne. No classic horror movie night is complete without The Omen, who together with The Exorcist and Rosemary's Baby are the undisputed top trio when it comes to satanic horror films. It’s about time we gave it the attention it deserves."

Their new album "The Horror and the Metal" is set for February 9th.

Lyrics:
Time is nigh, the torch is lit
Spat out of the fiery pit

An ancient evil on the rise
Invoking its power through a child's eyes
Conceived in the city of Rome
It found its way into the Thorns’ home

He is the Antichrist!
The hour draws near, the essence of fear
Waiting to be unleashed
All hail the Antichrist!
Beelzebub’s spawn, Damien’s born

Robert Thorn is on his trail
Uncovering the unholy grail

Empowered by the forces that be
Damien will send Brennan to the cemetery
Next in line is Baby-snatchin’-Bob
It’ll take a cop to do the job

He is the Antichrist!
The hour draws near, the essence of fear
Waiting to be unleashed
All hail the Antichrist!
Beelzebub’s spawn, Damien’s coming home

The mark of the beast upon his head
Try to stop him and you’ll sure as hell be dead

A battle fought since days of old
To be decided but already foretold
Father Brennan and Mr Thorn
Will wish they never, ever had been born

He is the Antichrist!
The hour draws near, the essence of fear
Waiting to be unleashed
All hail the Antichrist!
Sanguis bibimus, corpus edimus
All hail the Antichrist!
What have you done, Beelzebub’s son?
Damien is done

► Official “Apocalypse Calypso” lyrics:
