Shyheim the Rugged Child: The Journey of a Wu-tang Affiliate | SWAY'S UNIVERSE Hotney 1 Ansichten • 3 Jahre vor

Born and raised in Staten Island, New York, Shyheim Franklin, better known as Shyheim, gained fame as a teenage rapper with his debut album AKA the Rugged Child at the tender age of 14. He rose to prominence as one of hip hop's brightest stars, being referred to as a "prodigy". Today, Shyheim is best known for his collaborations with the legendary Wu-Tang Clan, especially with Method Man and Ghostface Killah. He stopped by Sway In The Morning to talk about his journey from his early rise to fame to his recent Rugged Road to Recovery movement.

Shyheim's initial success was meteoric. Critics and fans alike were impressed by his raw talent and witty lyrics, and he quickly landed a record deal at the age of 13. His debut album, AKA the Rugged Child, was released in 1994 and was an instant hit. The album featured collaborations with members of the Wu-Tang Clan, and cemented Shyheim's status as a rising star.
