The Return of Consequence: A Journey Through Music, Legacy, and Hip-Hop Culture | Full Episode Hotney 17 Streams • 2 years ago

00:12:01N.O.R.E. & DJ EFN are the Drink Champs. In this episode we chop it up with the legendary, Consequence!

Consequence talks about his journey, his legacy, and what’s next in the game. This wasn’t just a regular interview—it was a celebration of hip-hop history, hustle, and heart.

Drink Champs alumni, Consequence is back!

Consequence is running his own game now with his own record label, 192 Records, proving you don’t need a major label to make major moves. Partnering with Hitmaker for distribution, he’s showing the blueprint for artists who want control over their music and their money. He’s not just thinking about his own bag, though; he’s building a platform for the next generation to shine.

In this episode Consequence also shares Kanye stories, from their recent reunion in China. This reunion was particularly meaningful, as both share a storied history of collaborations and personal bonds. While recounting the experience, Consequence noted how their connection transcends professional ties; Kanye is also the godfather to his son. The trip wasn’t just about catching up—it was about reinforcing familial bonds and reigniting creative energy.

Consequence reflects on Fatherhood, shares stories of raising his son Caiden, who’s already stepping into the music game. Some people side-eye the idea of grooming a kid for the industry, but Cons keeps it 100: why not put him on game early? It’s about building generational talent and showing the world that hip-hop isn’t just about bars and beats; it’s a lifestyle you can grow into.

Consequence always reps Queens, and he gave flowers to A Tribe Called Quest, especially his late cousin Phife Dawg. Tribe’s Hall of Fame induction is a win not just for them but for the culture.

Cons isn’t just a rapper; he’s a storyteller, a mentor, and a cultural icon. From the streets of Queens to global stages, he’s carrying the torch for hip-hop while making sure the next wave of talent is ready to shine. With his independent grind, family focus, and love for the game, Consequence reminds us why he’s still one of the realest to ever do it.

Make some noise for Consequence!! 💐💐💐🏆🏆🏆

Don Diablo & P Money - Keep Pushin' (Beast) | Official Music Video Hotney 11 Streams • 2 years ago

OUT NOW: https://found.ee/DonDiabloPMoney

I have been making and playing out D&B in my sets ever since the beginning of my career as a DJ / Producer. I felt it was time to finally release another big D&B tune and have been testing out and thus perfecting the instrumental for this record all summer long and it definitely became a highly requested fan favorite!

I have always wanted to work with P Money, for me he’s the voice of a generation and one of those rare MC’s out there that can lift an instrumental to a whole new level both energetically as well as emotionally. We wanted to create a record that gives you motivation and inspiration to push yourself to the max and to always stand for what you believe in. So hyped to finally share this beast with the world!

Lyrics:
Man have come along way
We're taking over keep your friends inside
Push comes to shove, you think you’re rough
Let's see who's down to ride

Weather storm see me standing on the lawn
Ready for whatever comes
Built for this since I was born
To the darkness we are drawn
Seperated we get torn
Late at night I’m like a wolf
Back to normal by the morn (Awoo)

This how you reach the stars
No more looking at the past
Come along way this time is ours
Brace yourself and firm your stance
You do not quit whеn you're this far
Show these pеople who you are
'Cause sometimes we need the beast to come out like rah

(Ho) Sometimes we need the beast to come out like rah
Let's go!
Keep it pushin', keep it going, show us who you are
(Ho) Sometimes we need the beast to come out like rah
Let's go!
Keep it pushin', keep it going, show us who you are

They can't stop you when it’s destined
Make an entrance, hear them roaring
This shit come like wrestling
Life is hard, you’ve done the maths already for the testing
Ignore the negativity, it's never that interesting
We take planes and touch the sky so there ain’t a ceiling
Free yourself of that mentality to know the meaning
Set your goals, make a start
You won't get there dreaming
Power through these obstacles until you get that feeling (Get that fee—)

Yo, no lackin', keep pushin'
My drive, my cushion
My haters, we shush ’em
I see them, they're looking
They dream of what we get out
Don't see the work we put in
They're starving for your greatness
Don't serve them what you're cooking

No lackin', keep pushin'
No lackin', keep pushin'
Keep pushin', keep pushin', keep pushin', keep pushin'
Pushin', pushin', pushin'...
‘Cause sometimes we need the beast to come out like rah

Keep it pushin', keep it going, show us who you are
(Ho) Sometimes we need the beast to come out like rah

They can't stop you when it's destined
Make an entrance, hear them roaring
This shit come like wrestling
Life is hard, you've done the maths already for the testing
Ignore the negativity, it's never that interesting
We take planes and touch the sky so there ain't a ceiling
Free yourself of that mentality to know the meaning
Set your goals, make a start
You won't get there dreaming
Power through these obstacles until you get that feeling

Lately I got something on my mind
I got demons I can't keep inside
Sometimes they release and I don't mind
'Cause when I'm low they keep me alive
Feeling like you're running out of time
Then you're motivated by a sign
Ready to put this shit on the line
Scary but I know what will be—

Lyrics:

F*ck
B*tch, is we f*ckin' or what?
Ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy
Ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy
Let me nut on your butt
Ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy
Ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy
F*ck

Is we f*ckin' tonight?
Toes right and her p*ssy is tight
Like, she ride my d*ck like a bike
Like, I beat the p*ssy like fight night
Scary movie, she wanna record it, we watch it again like the hot ice
Baby, you know you my type, type

Feel like Freddy, together for five nights
She in love through the dash like a hyphen
Can't spend no time with these b*tches, I'm timeless
Said she sick of mе, she caught the itis
I feel like Trav', in this room, I'm thе highest
We could lay up and look at the starlights
If she not f*ckin', she gotta get depart, like (It's Carter, d*ckhead)
Girl, we been huggin' and cuddlin' all night
Is we f*ckin' or what?
Pretty, but she hard to solve like a riddle
Yeah, once I touch it, it jiggle
If we get drunk enough, we could kiss
Is we f*ckin'? I'm not tryna see what them hips do
Yeah, brown skin joint with a dimple
Light skin, she like, "I buy it, it's simple"
12 a.m., after dark, I'm a sl*t
Don't got time for no games, is we f*ckin' or what?

Ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy
Ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy
Let me nut on your butt
Ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy
Ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy

Is we f*ckin' or not?
I got a whole 'nother ho in the spot (Phew)
I'm tryna tie that b*tch up like a knot (Knot)
She thick like O's in a pot
She wanna f*ck at the Ritz
She know that I'm rich
But really ain't throwin' no fits
But she throw it back on that d*ck
Throw up on it like you sick
Don't tell nobody
Think I'm in love with a ratchet
Two seats when we ride in traffic
Twin G-locks, we matchin'
She don't know her dad, but she call me, "Daddy"
She want a thug, she need some love, she wanna get off them drugs
When you take this pink pill, bae, is we f*ckin' or what? (Ooh)
If I was a bad b*tch (Ooh)
If I was a ratchet (Let me nut on your butt, ooh)
If I was a bad b*tch
I'd wanna f*ck me too
Yes, I love pills and Percocets, yes, yes (Let's go)
I— I love pills and Percocets, yes, let's f*ck (Let's go, let's go, yeah)

Ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy
Ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy
Let me nut on your butt (Let's f*ck)
Ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy
Ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy (Let's f*ck)
