MASSIVE HASSLE - Crap Is Your Life (Official Music Video) Hotney 5 Streams • 2 years ago

🔥 Preorders LIVE straight after this premiere: https://massivehassle.tv

Third single from the new album ‘Unreal Damage’ out on Friday 16th August 2024 via Septaphonic Records.

'If Otis Redding and Tony Iommi made a 70s rock record with meticulous two-part vocal harmony, while deep in the throes of a dangerously expansive mental health crisis. The second album from the brothers Fisher sees them quest hither and yon into the depths of sweet soul music and heavy fuzz indulgences, apropos achieving surround sound. Discarding all previously proclaimed credos, the freedom of the studio environment elevates these eight brand new and select recordings to vertigo-inducing heights of sound and colour. Get peace, stay sound' - Mike Failing

Hailing from Nottingham England, Brothers Bill Fisher and Marty Fisher (Mammothwing, Church of the Cosmic Skull, Dystopian Future Movies) launched this new project in 2023 with the celebrated debut ‘Number One’, recorded and filmed entirely in live takes, with videos for every song.

Continuing their experiment with vocal harmony laden fuzz-rock / soul / doom-metal / jazz / blues / country, the second release sees the brothers take a wider, tighter, studio-orientated approach, while maintaining the authentic minimalism of the two-piece format.

Much love and thanks to John at the King Billy in Sneinton Nottingham for the interior/exterior sheer pub craic - go there and your life will be less crap....

Lyrics:

Crap Is Your Life

Crap is your life
Crap is your life
Crap is your life
Why is everything so shite in my life?

I tried to get out of the gaff
Because I thought that it could be a bit of a laugh
I drove hours to walk up a hill
To drive back home again and now I feel ill

I don't know why I can't
Be arsed to do anything

Crap is your life
Crap is your life
Crap is your life
Why is everything so shite in my life?

I went down to the shop
I couldn't get the things I thought that I’d want
So I went on the net
Now I don't want the things I thought I should get

I don't know why I can't
Be arsed to do anything

See your old pals for a pint
Twenty minutes in, it's totally shite
Sit, chat, sit back and try to relax
This conversation needs to be sacked

I don't know why I can't
Be arsed to do anything

Crap is your life
Crap is your life
Crap is your life
Crap is your life

David Gilmour - Dark and Velvet Nights (Official Music Video) Hotney 18 Streams • 2 years ago

'Dark and Velvet Nights' hear it now: https://davidgilmour.lnk.to/DarkandVelvetNights

Animation by Levan Kvan

*ABOUT LUCK AND STRANGE*
‘Luck and Strange’ was recorded over five months in Brighton and London and is Gilmour’s first album of new material in nine years. The record was produced by David and Charlie Andrew, best known for his work with ALT-J and Marika Hackman. Of this new working relationship, David says, “We invited Charlie to the house, so he came and listened to some demos, and said things like, “Well, why does there have to be a guitar solo there?” and “Do they all fade out? Can’t some of them just end?”. He has a wonderful lack of knowledge or respect for this past of mine. He’s very direct and not in any way overawed, and I love that. That is just so good for me because the last thing you want is people just deferring to you.”

The majority of the album’s lyrics have been composed by Polly Samson, Gilmour’s co-writer and collaborator for the past thirty years. Samson says of the lyrical themes covered on ‘Luck and Strange’, “It’s written from the point of view of being older; mortality is the constant.” Gilmour elaborates, “We spent a load of time during and after lockdown talking about and thinking about those kind of things.” Polly has also found the experience of working with Charlie Andrew liberating, “He wants to know what the songs are about, he wants everyone who’s playing on them to have the ideas that are in the lyric informing their playing. I have particularly loved it for that reason.”

The album features eight new tracks along with a beautiful reworking of The Montgolfier Brothers’ ‘Between Two Points’ and has artwork and photography by the renowned artist Anton Corbijn.

Musicians contributing to the record include Guy Pratt & Tom Herbert on bass, Adam Betts, Steve Gadd and Steve DiStanislao on drums, Rob Gentry & Roger Eno on keyboards with string and choral arrangements by Will Gardner. The title track also features the late Pink Floyd keyboard player Richard Wright, recorded in 2007 at a jam in a barn at David’s house.

Some contributions emerged from the live streams that Gilmour and family performed to a global audience during the lockdowns of 2020 and 2021; Romany Gilmour sings, plays the harp and appears on lead vocals on ‘Between Two Points’. Gabriel Gilmour also sings backing vocals.

The album’s cover image, photographed and designed by Anton Corbijn, is inspired by a lyric written by Charlie Gilmour for the album’s final song ‘Scattered’. Of working with his family on ‘Luck and Strange’, David says, “Polly and I have been writing together for over thirty years and the Von Trapped live streams showed the great blend of Romany’s voice and harp-playing and that led us into a feeling of discarding some of the past that I’d felt bound to and that I could throw those rules out and do whatever I felt like doing, and that has been such a joy.”

*ABOUT DAVID GILMOUR*
David Gilmour CBE hit No. 1 in the UK with his 2006 solo album On An Island. Following Pink Floyd’s final album, 2014’s The Endless River, (No. 1 in 21 countries), David’s latest studio album, Rattle That Lock, and 2017's release of Live At Pompeii are out now. Buy via http://www.davidgilmour.com

A Cambridge friend of Syd Barrett, David joined Syd, with Roger Waters, Richard Wright, and Nick Mason, in Pink Floyd in early 1968, only for Syd to leave the group five gigs later. Pink Floyd's subsequent huge worldwide success continued after Roger Waters' departure in 1985, with the albums A Momentary Lapse Of Reason and The Division Bell both charting at No. 1 in the UK and the US, and sell-out world tours. Rattle That Lock released in 2015 and David’s 4th solo album, went to No. 1 in 13 countries. In 2017, Live at Pompeii released as a live album and film which was recorded at the Amphitheatre of Pompeii.

Letra

Ye
Van a entrar a todas
Las invito José
wow
Tan loquitas y no
Son ni las doce
Y

Tapa azul, cigarrillo cool
Se fueron de bote
Baby hoy no tiene que
Meterle el cora
Bota el reloj
Que te dio ese cabrón
Pa que va a mirar ahora

Doble shot pa tus amigas
Pa ver si te dejan sola
Si te llama ese hijueputa
Mejor baby tu lo ignoras
y que se joda

Lego

Reina que se dice
Cómo fue, que hay pa hacer
Solo avise
Lego

Ando flow zion
Esta noche motivando
A la gyal
Un chorrito pa las ánimas
Vamo a meterle moral
La baretica enrolaita por
Si quieres volar
Yo se que te gusta mi flow
Mami tiene que aflojar
Que esta noche le repita
Mamasota, culona y flaquita
Se me volteo y no tenía tanguita
Semejante bobadita

LYRICS:

Hey Freddy, you're the talk of the town,
Ready to turn our world upside down,
Each time you come around,
Oww,
Hey Freddy, you're the reason why,
I never wanna ever turn off my light,
I just don't want to die.

Hello, hello,
Well I came to say hello,
I want you to enjoy the show,
Be aware that they could lose control,
So get out,
Right away, as the lights go down,
Got no theory, and I got no doubt,
That when they're up, good luck,
There's no way out.

Hey Freddy, well I got to say,
Turning in the badge was my Happiest Day,
But still I hope and pray,
Ayy.
Hey Freddy, if I could do it again,
Starting before the bite of 87,
I bet I could SAVE THEM.

Hello, hello,
Well I came to say hello,
I want you to enjoy the show,
Be aware that they could lose control,
So get out,
Right away, as the lights go down,
Got no theory, and I got no doubt,
That when they're up, good luck,
There's no way out.

I, I, I,
I can hear you moving in the night,
Someone please turn on the light,
Tell me that it's gonna be alright,
Alright, alright.

I, I, I,
I can hear you moving in the night,
Hungry for just another bite,
Tell me that it's gonna be alright,
Alright, alright.

Hey Freddy, you're the talk of the town,
Ready to turn our world upside down,
Each time you come around,

Hey Freddy, you're the reason why,
I never wanna ever turn off my light,
I just don't wanna die,
I just don't wanna die.
(Hello, hello, well I came to say hello.
Hello, hello, be aware that they could lose control.)
I just don't wanna die.

He loves the game
My lips reflect off his cross-gold chain

My ass looks good in these ripped blue jeans
My cheeks are red like cherries in the spring
Body’s a work of art you’d die to see
