Released on November 15, 1978, “The Gambler" was Kenny's fourth #1 solo hit and one of five consecutive songs by the music icon to hit No. 1 on the Billboard country music chart. “The Gambler" also went to #3 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart and #16 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song won a 1978 Grammy for Best Country Song and became CMA’s 1979 Song of the Year. Rogers won a 1979 Grammy for Best Male Country Vocal Performance for “The Gambler,” and also earned CMA’s 1979 Male Vocalist of the Year. In addition, the album, The Gambler, won CMA honors as 1979 Album of the Year, among other accolades.

In 2018, “The Gambler” was selected for preservation in the National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress as being “culturally, historically, or artistically significant.” Following Rogers' death on March 20, 2020, “The Gambler” hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart.

⁣"BACKR00MS" FT TRAVIS SCOTT SEXISDEATH INDIANA420BITCH

I wrote this song towards the end of my time on AGT. I’ve never felt more like a pawn on a chessboard than during this show. It reminded me just how cruel the industry can be and also made me incredibly grateful that I have had such a long successful career while somehow avoiding showbiz antics. And it was during this process that I knew without a doubt that no matter what I’ve been through, what I still have to go through, the music makes it all worth it. I fell in love with the art and the craft but I also fell in love with the internet.

Letra:
estaba esperando tu llamada
desde aquella vez
que nos vimos
de ti no sabia nada

normal
no se me olvidaba v
cuando te pusiste traviesa
sigo recordando aquella pose
aquí en mi cabeza
si el momento se preseta

por qué no vienes y te pones traviesa sigo recordando aquella pose
aquí en mi cabeza
si el momento se preseta
por qué no vienes y te pones traviesa

pal de botellas en la mesa
empieza
con delicadeza
demuestra de tresa
como me besa
la fresa
se quita la tela en una pieza

y quiere rose
como dice tego pa que retocen
muero con tu cuerpo

siempre champion
never loser
no necesitamos luxes

ella quiere rose
como dice tego pa que retocen

Letra:

Ella no sabe disimular
Mira la como se pone
No se por qué no nos vemos más
Si nada se nos interpone
Va siendo tarde y me llama
Pa recordarme en su cama
Ella me espero otra vez

Ey
Quiera tener me frente a frente

Tu sabe no miente mami tu te siente igual

Ooooooh

Nena tu me elevas, Tu eres mía y yo soy tuyo
Eh

Oooh, Yeaaah
Ma se que no con cual quería
Te conforma no

Ooooo oooh

Nena tu me elevas, Tu eres mía y yo soy tuyo
Eh

Y conectamos
No eran mi planes

Yeah y yeah

Nena tú me elevas tú ere mía y yo soy tuyo
yeah

Luix Luix Aron Luix Luix

No quiero nada, no quiero reclamos
Sigo sola bailando
