Lyrics
I’ll make our movie in my head
I’ll write we’ll star and I’ll direct
Whether it’s a hit or a cult classic
It’s my favorite thing that I’ve made yet

You’re a muse
And I’m amusing you
But I’ll take what I can get

You’re a muse and I’m amusing you
I’ll take what I can get
I’d leave none for the rest if I could oh
You come to me in a dream
When I’m wide awake
Oh rare’s the least to say
Still I wonder

Our movie’s winning awards
The brightest stars are fighting over who will play you
I see it in the back seat of the car
All these billboard faces can’t compare to you

Here’s the scene
A few years passed 18
Spotlight on you in a blue dress
And I don’t remember the shade
But I can hear the sweet sounds you made like
Sweet inspiration
Like you’ve seen
Places I’ll never go

Our movie’s winning awards
The brightest stars are fighting over who will play you
I see it in the back seat of the car
All these billboard faces can’t compare to you

No they can’t compare to you
No they can’t compare to you
No they can’t compare to you

Yes you’re a muse and I’m amusing you
I’ll take what I can get
I’d leave none for the rest if I could oh
You come to me in a dream when I’m wide awake
Oh rare’s the least to say Still
Rare’s the least to say

Aey Kuljira - Half of Everything (“Shine” Original Soundtrack) [Official Music Video] Hotney 10 意见 • 1 年前

Half of Everything explores how people tend to see the world only through the lens they choose—hearing only what they want to hear, and understanding only what they’ve experienced. Yet the world always has more than one side. Even after trying to see all angles, we may still not truly grasp the full picture. The song becomes a poetic reflection on the limits of perception and the incomplete truths we all carry.

Lyrics:
Building up a cotton sky, clouds are drifting high and wide.
They look like castles drawn within a child's mind.
Raise my hand to touch them—but then I realized.
That I had only seen them from one side.

Clouds can rise to a towering wall.
Then drop their snow to cover all.
They dim the day and hush the light,
turn the sky to sudden night.
Reached out to stop them—only then I realized.
This is the vision from another’s eyes.

We only see what we are shown, and know what we are told.
We miss the truth that sits beneath the fold.
We hear the parts we wanna hear,
Ignore that doesn’t shine or sing—
But that’s just half of everything.

We fall in love with what we see,
Not always who someone might be.
We paint a face we long to find,
Then break when it’s not right.
I held on tight, and now I realize,
That I had only seen them from one side.
