Talking of The Temptations, there is one member who’s usually not mentioned that much. His story is often forgotten, and his legacy always downplayed. His name, Elbridge Bryant (nicknamed "Al" or "Bones"), the original among the originals. He was there from the beginning, when the group’s dream and vision was at its infancy. His tenor voice was one of a kind, his stage performances, magical. The girls loved him.
Get to know about his story and the cold truth about him.

You could document the writing, arranging, and recording of Amphetamine Smiles, but there’s no way to explain how it came together. It’s the product of some kind of magic. Listen/Buy “Amphetamine Smiles” from our upcoming album “152” here: https://found.ee/TBS152
"152", our new album offers a lot more hope and light than we first realized when we were in the thick of it, putting it all together. We’ve been fortunate enough, through our music, to grow up with a lot of people going through the same things at the same time, and probably feeling the same way. Our hope is that you’re able to find a little bit of yourself in this new collection of songs, because you’re not alone, and neither are we. “152” out on October 27th.

Lyrics:
(“Amphetamine Smiles” written by Shaun Cooper, Adam Lazzara, John Nolan, Mark O’Connell)
Standing on the corner you were waiting for me
It must’ve been past midnight
I started thinking to myself it’s been a bad couple years
Soon everything will be alright
The moon shines down on amphetamine smiles
We’ve finally got some time to kill
You ask if I can make the best of these bad decisions
I can
and I will

We talked until the sun came up
It meant so much
we can’t remember what
You better save yourself before you try and save somebody else
Now this is all you have
A moment that we won’t ever get back
(You won’t remember)
Better save yourself before you try and save somebody else

Half drunk Messiah with a smile on her face
She told me not to take them pills
I said girl you have no faith in medicine
Love you like a brother
Love you like no other
I’m going to love you like no other can

I am going to love you because no other can

While in recent years Freddie’s reputation and image have taken immense damage I don’t think that should fully take away from everything that he's done to get to where he is at. Today I'll tell the story of Freddie Gibbs from his come-up in the dangerous streets of Gary, Indiana to finally making his mark in the music industry after years of hard work.

Lyrics

Remember the moment
You left me alone and
Broke every promise you ever made
I was an ocean
Lost in the open
Nothing could take the pain away
So you can throw me to the wolves
Tomorrow I will come back
Leader of the whole pack
Beat me black and blue
Every wound will shape me
Every scar will build my throne
The sticks and the stones that
You used to throw have
Built me an empire
So don't even try
To cry me a river
Cos' I forgive you
You are the reason I still fight
I'll leave you choking
On every word you left unspoken
Rebuild all that you've broken
And now you know
Every wound will shape me
Every scar will build my throne

Lyrics:

teardrops

we hurt ourselves for fun
force feed our fear until our hearts go numb
addicted to a lonely kind of love.

what i wanna know..
is how we got this stressed out,
paranoid
everything is going dark
nothing makes me sadder than my head.

i’m running out of teardrops
let it hurt ‘til it stops
i can’t keep my grip
i’m slipping away from me
oh god, everything is so fucked
but i can’t feel a thing
the emptiness is heavier than you think.

i’m tripping on the edge
high as a kite, i’m never coming down.
and if you hear me
guess you know how it feels
to be alone
so how’d we get this stressed out?
paranoid
everything is going dark
nothing makes me sadder than my head.

suicidal, violent tragic state of mind.
lost my halo, now i’m my own anti-christ.

What doesn't kill you
Makes you wish you were dead
Got a hole in my soul growing deeper and deeper
And I can't take
One more moment of this silence
The loneliness is haunting me
And the weight of the worlds getting harder to hold up
It comes in waves
I close my eyes
Hold my breath
And let it bury me
I'm not alright
And it's not ok
Won't you drag the lake
And bring me home again
Who will fix me now?
Dive in when I'm down?
Save me from myself,
Don't let me drown
Who will make me fight?
Drag me out alive?
Save me from myself,
Don't let me drown
What doesn't destroy you
Leaves you broken instead.
You know that I can't do this on my own.

About Austin City Limits
Austin City Limits (ACL) offers viewers unparalleled access to featured acts in an intimate setting that provides a platform for artists to deliver inspired, memorable, full-length performances. The program is taped live before a concert audience from The Moody Theater in downtown Austin. ACL is the longest-running music series in American television history and remains the only TV series to ever be awarded the National Medal of Arts. Since its inception, the groundbreaking music series has become an institution that's helped secure Austin's reputation as the Live Music Capital of the World. The historic KLRU Studio 6A, home to 36 years of ACL concerts, has been designated an official Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Landmark. In 2011, ACL moved to the new venue ACL Live at The Moody Theater in downtown Austin. ACL received a rare institutional Peabody Award for excellence and outstanding achievement in 2012. ACL is produced by KLRU-TV and funding is provided in part by Dell, the Austin Convention Center Department, Shiner Beers and HomeAway.com. Additional funding is provided by the Friends of Austin City Limits. Learn more about Austin City Limits, programming and history at acltv.com.

LYRICS:
The comedy of man starts like this:
Our brains are way too big for our mother’s hips
So, nature, she devised this alternative:
We emerge half-formed and hope whoever greets us on the other end
Is kind enough
To fill us in
And, babies, that’s pretty much how it’s been ever since

Now the miracle of birth leaves a few issues to address
Like say that half of us are periodically iron deficient
So somebody’s gotta go kill something while I look after the kids
I’d do it myself, but what, are you gonna get this thing his milk?
He says as soon as he gets back from the hunt we can switch
It’s hard not to fall in love with something so helpless
Ladies, I hope we don’t end up regretting this

Comedy
Now that’s what I call pure comedy
Just wait until the part where they start to believe
They’re at the center of everything
And some all powerful being
Endowed this horror show with meaning

Their religions are the best
They worship themselves but they’re totally obsessed
With risen zombies, celestial virgins, magic tricks
In these unbelievable outfits
And they get terribly upset
If you question their sacred texts
Written by woman-hating epileptics

Their languages just tend to confuse them
Their confusion somehow makes them more sure
Now they’re much too bright for the old superstitions
But they’re yet to find a new one they won’t serve

Where did they find these clowns they elected to rule them
They recline in outrage at the
These mammals are hell-bent on fashioning new gods
So they can go on being godless animals

Comedy
Their illusions that are all that they can see
Their horizons that just forever recede
How’s this for irony:
Their idea of being free
Is a prison of beliefs
They’ve every right to never leave

Comedy
It’s like something that a madman would conceive
The only thing that seems to makes them feel alive
Is the struggle to survive
But the only thing that they request
Is something to numb the pain with
Until there’s nothing human left

Just random matter suspended in the dark
Hate to say it, but each other’s all we’ve got

LYRICS:
Mr. Tillman good to see you again
there’s a few outstanding charges just before we check you in
let’s see here, you left your passport in the mini fridge and a message with the desk says here the picture isn’t his
and oh just a reminder about our policy don’t leave your mattress in the rain if you sleep on the balcony
OK, did you and your guests have a pleasant stay? what a beautiful tattoo that young man had on his face
oh, will you need a driver out to Philly?
Jason Isbell’s here as well and he seemed a little worried about you

I’m feeling good, damn, I’m feeling so fine
I'm living on a cloud above an island in my mind
oh baby, don’t be alarmed this is just my vibe
no need to walk around no it’s not too bad to climb

Mr. Tillman for the seventh time we have no knowledge of a film that is being shot outside
those aren't extras in a movie, they're our clientele
no, they aren’t running lines and they aren’t exactly thrilled
would you like a regalo on the patio? is there someone we can call? perhaps you shouldn’t drink alone?

When Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid took to the streets of Naples for their Vogue feature, the power couple brought with them all the magic that comes with being young and in love. Forget the “Pillowtalk” video—when Zayn and Gigi are just being themselves, the chemistry is even more evident, especially when Mario Testino is shooting. Watch as a very candid “ZiGi” kisses their way through their Italian vacation, dancing through palazzos, doing handstands, and being almost too cute for words.
