LYRICS:

10,000 miles and an ocean between us
Get me to your shore, so I can receive this
If I’m gonna worry, I’m gonna worry with you.

Middle of the night, dark thoughts are whirling
Crossing off the days til you are returning
If I’m gonna worry, I’m gonna worry with you

Oh, I’m on the other side picking up speed
Let go of shame and lies I don’t need
If I’m gonna fuck up, I’m gonna fuck up with you

Let’s get lost baby
And take a wrong turn
That’s the life, that’s the life
We never ever wanna get burned.

I had thought, there was no place for what I feel
Then I learned, you are the place for what I feel

Come at me with all of your swagger
The strength of you is what I’ve been after
If I’m gonna mess up, I’m gonna mess up with you

Oh, I figured that love that takes you further
This heart was ready for the life preserver
If I’m gonna worry, I’m gonna worry with you

Sleater-Kinney: Tiny Desk (Home) Concert Hotney 5 Streams • 3 years ago

The Tiny Desk is working from home for the foreseeable future. Introducing NPR Music's Tiny Desk (home) concerts, bringing you performances from across the country and the world. It's the same spirit — stripped-down sets, an intimate setting — just a different space.

Jacob Ganz | July 1, 2021
You don't have to wait long for a signature Sleater-Kinney moment in the band's Tiny Desk (home) concert. Over the first half of the title track to Path of Wellness, Corin Tucker and Carrie Brownstein sing of human frailty and self-improvement, vibrating with low notes of disgust. Then Brownstein shoots Tucker a knowing smile as they sing, "You could never love me enough," and the pair, who have been making music together for nearly 30 years, start to unwind things: Brownstein hisses "I am on a path of wellness" through gritted teeth before ripping into a four-note riff that feels like it's pulling your guts out; Tucker sets her voice at maybe 75 percent howl capacity to sing "I feel like I'm unknown" and Brownstein still has to raise a hand to steady herself against the force. She can't stop grinning.

Tension is the heart of Sleater-Kinney's untouchable catalog, and Brownstein and Tucker know how to add layers to keep a song's meaning shifting. They recorded Path of Wellness at Halfling Studio in Portland in the midst of pandemic and protest, and returned to make this Tiny Desk. "High In The Grass" feels looser and hazier than on the album; "Worry With You" feels heavier. A treat for fans from the band's first decade: "One Beat" played with piano and bowed upright bass, making it that much easier to hear how, by the end, Tucker's pleas and Brownstein's yelp have been inextricably knitted together. Untangling things would be missing the point.

🎤 Lyrics: Lil Nas X - HOLIDAY

[Intro]
T-T-Tay Keith, Took it to ten (Hey)

[Chorus]
Ayy, it's a holiday
I got hoes on hoes and they out of control, yeah
Ayy, it's another way
All my niggas on go and I hope that you know it
I can't even close my eyes
And I don't know why, guess I don't like surprises
I can't even stay away from the game that I play
They gon' know us today, yeah

[Verse 1]
Ayy, can I pop shit? (Pop, pop, pop)
I might bottom on the low, but I top shit (But I top shit)
Switch the genre on you hoes, do a rock hit (Mmm)
I got the biggest damn song, fuck the charts, sis, I don't need 'em

[Pre-Chorus]
They wanna know if I'll be lastin'
Bitch, even if I started floppin', there'd be fashion
Poppin' up in movies, ain't no Nasy, bitch, it's Ashton
Hee, hee, I'm bad as Michael Jackson
Dun, dun, dun

[Chorus]
Ayy, it's a holiday
I got hoes on hoes and they out of control, yeah
Ayy, it's another way
All my niggas on go and I hope that you know it
I can't even close my eyes
And I don't know why, guess I don't like surprises
I can't even stay away from the game that I play
They gon' know us today, yeah

[Verse 2]
Man, I snuck into the game, came in on a horse
I pulled a gimmick, I admit it, I got no remorse
Nobody tried to let me in, nobody opened doors
I kicked them motherfuckers down, they didn't have a choice
Dun, dun, dun
They tried to next me, ayy, but I'm blessed, see
Ayy, no flex, but my checks givin' vet tease
Ayy, and I'm sexy, they wanna sex me
Pop star, but the rappers still respect me

[Pre-Chorus]
They wanna know if I'll be lastin'
Bitch, even if I started floppin', there'd be fashion
Poppin' up in movies, ain't no Nasy, bitch, it's Ashton
Hee, hee, I'm bad as Michael Jackson
Dun, dun, dun

[Chorus]
Ayy, it's a holiday
I got hoes on hoes and they out of control, yeah
Ayy, it's another way
All my niggas on go and I hope that you know it
I can't even close my eyes
And I don't know why, guess I don't like surprises
I can't even stay away from the game that I play
They gon' know us today, yeah

[Outro]
Tay Keith, fuck these niggas up
Daytrip took it to ten (Hey)

Lyrics:
Yeah,
Why you callin’ at 11:30
When you only wanna do me dirty
But I hit right back ‘cause you got that that, yeah

Why you always wanna act like lovers
But you never wanna be each other’s
I say don’t look back but I go right back and

All the sudden I’m hypnotized
You’re the one that I can’t deny
Every time that I say I’m gonna walk away

You turn me on like a light switch
When your moving your body around and around
Now I don’t wanna fight this (No)
You know how to just make me want you
turn me on like a light switch
When your moving your body around and around
You got me in a tight grip (Yeah)
You know how to just make me want you, baby

Do you love it when you keep me guessing?
When you leave and then you leave me stressing?
But I cant stay mad when you walk like that, no

Why you always wanna act like lovers
But you never wanna be each other’s
I say don’t look back but I go right back and

All a sudden I’m hypnotized
You’re the one that I can’t deny
Every time that I say I’m gonna walk away

You turn me on like a light switch
When your movin’ your body around and around
No, I don’t wanna fight this (No)
You know how to just make me want you
You turn me on like a light switch (Switch)
When your movin’ your body around and around
You got me in a tight grip (Grip)
You know how to just make me want you, baby

C’mon, C’mon, C’mon, C’mon, C’mon and show me how you do (Do)
You want, you want, you want, you want, you want me to keep wantin’ you (wantin’ you girl)
C’mon, C’mon, C’mon, C’mon, C’mon and show me how you do (How you do)
You want, you want, you want, you want, you want me to keep wantin’ you

You turn me on like a light switch
When your movin’ your body around and around
No, I don’t wanna fight this
You know how to just make me want to
You turn me on like a light switch
When your movin’ your body around and around
You got me in a tight grip
You know how to just make me want you, baby

C’mon, C’mon, C’mon, C’mon, C’mon and show me how you do
You want, you want, you want, you want, you want me to keep wantin’ you
C’mon, C’mon, C’mon, C’mon, C’mon and show me how you do
You want, you want, you want, you want, you want me to keep wantin’ you

Kevin Kaarl - Vámonos a Marte (En vivo desde El Sofá) Hotney 5 Streams • 3 years ago

****LETRA****
Desde el cielo todo es más bonito
Déjame llevarte a las estrellas otra vez
Como la noche de ayer

Vámonos a Marte

A olvidar nuestros problemas tan punzantes
Contemplemos las constelaciones
Y todas nuestras visiones que nos quitan el vacío
Que sentimos en la Tierra

Toma mi mano y vámonos de aquí
Ponte tu suéter gris y comencemos a huir

Vámonos a Marte
