» Lyrics for "Blame Brett" by The Beaches:

[Verse 1]
Done being the sad girl
I'm done dating rockstars
From now on only actors
Tall boys in the Raptors

I'll become an asshole
Disguised as a bad girl
In my button-up shirt
A natural disaster

Hey

[Pre-Chorus]
You could be my baby, baby, baby
You could be my baby boy, they, lady
You could be my baby, baby, maybe oh oh

[Chorus]
I'm sorry in advance
I'm only gonna treat you bad
I'm probably gonna let you down
I'm probably gonna sleep around
So sorry in advance
Before you take off your pants
I wouldn't let me near your friends
I wouldn't let me near your dad

[Post-Chorus]
But don't blame me, blame Brett
Blame my ex, blame my ex, blame my ex
But don't blame me, blame Brett
Blame my ex, blame my ex, blame my ex

[Verse 2]
That's why I won't get vulnerable
Don't you dare get comfortable
Heartbreak is impossible
Feelings doing somersaults

I'm not ready for therapy
To take accountability
Right now it's about me
Me and only 'bout me

Hey

[Pre-Chorus]
You could be my baby, baby, baby
You could be my baby boy, they, lady
You could be my baby, baby, maybe Oh oh

[Chorus]
I'm sorry in advance
I'm only gonna treat you bad
I'm probably gonna let you down
I'm probably gonna sleep around
So sorry in advance
Before you take off your pants
I wouldn't let me near your friends
I wouldn't let me near your dad

[Post-Chorus]
But don't blame me, blame Brett
Blame my ex, blame my ex, blame my ex
But don't blame me, blame Brett
Blame my ex, blame my ex, blame my ex

[Outro]
I'm only in it for the sex
That's why I'm never gonna love again
I'm only in it for the sex
Blame my ex, blame my ex, blame my ex
Don't blame me, blame Brett
Blame my ex, blame my ex, blame my ex
Don't blame me, blame Brett
Blame my ex, blame my ex, blame my ex

Lyrics:
Dropped into liminal
Slimy subliminal
What do you think
You fucking let me go then let me in
It's getting old
Take it on the chin

Rushed into begging it
Are you forgetting that
I still remember when you ran away
You ran away
You ran away

You never get together
Leave your keys on the dresser
SPLAT!
Under pressureI swear just get it together

Cutting up your cards
Self sabotage
You didn't mean to tell me you love me

I sometimes see right through
But this isn't about you
I still remember when you ran away
You ran away
You ran away

You never get together
Leave your keys on the dresser
SPLAT!
Under pressure
I swear just get it together

SKA-P to jeden z najważniejszych europejskich zespołów muzycznej alternatywy. W swojej twórczości negują faszyzm, niesprawiedliwość społeczną i przemycają apel do walki o prawa zwierząt. Ich koncert był niewątpliwie jednym z najlepszych podczas 20. Przystanku Woodstock. Z niesamowitą energią porwali całe morze ludzi zgromadzone pod Dużą Sceną. Teraz zobaczycie go w całości!

MC Ren, born Lorenzo Jerald Patterson, is a legendary rapper who emerged from Compton, California, and made an indelible mark on the music industry. He gained widespread recognition as a vital member of the influential rap group N.W.A. alongside Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Eazy-E, and DJ Yella. Ren's distinctive voice and lyrical prowess played a pivotal role in shaping the group's gritty and politically charged sound. N.W.A.'s most popular songs, such as "Straight Outta Compton," "F**k tha Police," and "Gangsta Gangsta," became anthems of rebellion, reflecting the harsh realities of life in the inner city. Ren's uncompromising and thought-provoking lyrics were a cornerstone of the group's success, addressing social and political issues that resonated with audiences worldwide. While N.W.A. propelled MC Ren into the spotlight, his solo career showcased his exceptional talent. Ren's most famous albums include "Kizz My Black Azz" (1992) and "The Villain in Black" (1996). These albums showcased his lyrical dexterity, fearless storytelling, and unapologetic expression. Ren's solo work continued to push boundaries and solidify his reputation as a groundbreaking artist. MC Ren's impact extends far beyond his music. His contributions to hip-hop culture as an activist and voice for change should not be overlooked. He fearlessly tackled issues such as police brutality, racial inequality, and social injustices, making him a true revolutionary within the genre.

Lyrics:
Sunday mornings were your favorite
I used to meet you down on Woods Creek road
You did your hair up like you were famous
Even though it’s only church where we were goin
Now Sunday mornings I just sleep in
It’s like I buried my faith with you
Screaming at a god I don’t know if I believe in
Cause I don’t know what else I can do
I’m still holding on
To everything that’s dead and gone
I don’t wanna say goodbye
Cause this one means forever
Now you’re in the stars
And six feet’s never felt so far
Here I am alone between the heavens and the embers
Oh it hurts so hard
For a million different reasons
You took the best of my heart
And left the rest in pieces
Digging through your old birthday letters
A crumpled 20 still in the box
I don’t think that I could ever find a way to spend it
Even if it’s the last 20 that I’ve got
I’m still holding on
To everything that’s dead and gone
I don’t wanna say goodbye
Cause this one means forever
Now you’re in the stars
And six feet’s never felt so far
Here I am alone between the heavens and the embers
Oh it hurts so hard
For a million different reasons
You took the best of my heart
And left the rest in pieces
I’m still holding, holding, holding on
I’m still holding, holding, holding on
I’m still holding, holding, holding on
I’m still, still holding on
I’m still holding on
To everything that’s dead and gone
I don’t wanna say goodbye
Cause this one means forever
Now you’re in the stars
And six feet’s never felt so far
Here I am alone between the heavens and the embers
Oh it hurts so hard
For a billion different reasons
You took the best of my heart
And left the rest in pieces

Lyrics:
Look at him yearning
Desirous
His craving, his hunger
Constant needs, constant wants
Nothing will quell
Nothing will slake
Insatiable vacuous man

Hollow and see-through
His emptiness has made him frail
That dying thing still believes
Others drive the nails
Incendiary god complex
Such gift to flammable man
This is what it made of him
This is what remains
Behold, how he devours
Unappeasable and cursed
That arid soul, famished and desiccated
I am that thirst

His gluttony can not be stilled
This state can never be reversed
Hollow and empty
Endlessly

"Soak Me In Bleach" Lyrics

When the dreamer dies
So dies the dream
Turn me inside out
Soak me in bleach
Only so much running
Low and running from myself
Only so much running
And the running never helps
Runnin’, runnin’, runnin’... sink

When the dreamer dies
So dies the dream
Turn me inside out
Soak me in bleach
I’m buried alive
Life buries me
Cover my body
Soak me in bleach

Feels like I’m strapped down
Feels like I’m bleeding
Don’t know what to do
With all of these feelings (soak me in bleach)

Only so much running
Low and running from myself
Only so much running
And the running never helps

When the dreamer dies
So dies the dream
Turn me inside out
Soak me in bleach
I’m buried alive
Life buries me
Cover my body
Soak me in bleach

It comes in waves
It crushes me
Yeah it comes in waves
And it crushes me
You can’t save me now
‘Cause I’m out of reach

When the dreamer dies
So dies the dream
Turn me inside out
Soak me in bleach
I’m buried alive
Life buries me
Cover my body
Soak me in bleach

On and on and on and on
Soak me in bleach

His catacomb has got me by the chin
This body's left the soul

Oct. 24, 2018 | Bob Boilen -- He came to the Tiny Desk with friends, a lot of friends. In fact, Josh Karpeh, best known in the music world as Cautious Clay, put together a backing vocal ensemble of friends he's known since his days as a music student at The George Washington University here in D.C. And so, with five singers - along with a drummer, keyboardist and a bassist - Cautious Clay brought a warm, thoughtful and chill vibe to the Tiny Desk.

I was first struck by Cautious Clay's charismatic spirit at a sold-out show in D.C. earlier this year. And while I was already captivated by his seemingly effortless singing, with hints of James Blake and Sampha, when he picked up his saxophone and, later, a flute, I was won over by his rich sound-palette. Here at the Tiny Desk, Cautious Clay opens with "Cold War," a song that I interpret to be about commitments within relationships. The line, "In it for the monetary growth and power / But we divided at the bottom of this whiskey sour" shows the humor and insight that I love in his lyrics.

There's good reason why I'm so certain that this little-known artist will be well-known in the coming year: he's a bright talent, exploring music with a curiosity and invention that is genuine, without pretense and with intentions that aren't aimed at fame but rather meant for friends.

Set List
"Cold War"
"Call Me"
"Stolen Moments"

Musicians
Josh Karpeh (Guitar/vocals/Saxphone/flute), Chris Kyle (Guitar/bass guitar), Francesco Alessi (Drums), Eric Lane (Keyboard/keybass), Sanna Taskinen (vocals), Marianne Khattar (vocals), Sam East (vocals), Claire Miller (vocals), Michael Ferrier (vocals)

Credits
Producers: Bob Boilen, Maia Stern; Creative Director: Bob Boilen; Audio Engineer: Josh Rogosin; Videographers: Morgan Noelle Smith, Maia Stern, Bronson Arcuri, Kara Frame, Kaylee Domzalski; Production Assistant: Brie Martin; Photo: Emily Bogle/NPR

Cautious Clay - Wildfire | LYRICS |

Your eyes are like weapons
Your lips could teach lesson
Don’t use them so reckless
Cus for you I’m helpless
Gotta take caution
You know that I’m all in
The chance of me falling
You know that it’s often

But if you don’t wanna stay
Then please stop moving this way

You’re starting up a wildfire in my heart
Hope it’s what you want
Not just what you do
You’re starting up a wildfire in my head
Hope it’s what you meant
Not just what you do

This love is so costly
It’s killing me softly
Don’t know what to call it
This thing that you started
You make it look easy
The way that you lead me
Into the fire babe
Are you coming with me, yea?

But if you don’t wanna stay
Please stop moving this way

You’re starting up a wildfire in my heart
Hope it’s what you want
Not just what you do
You’re starting up a wildfire in my head
Hope it’s what you meant
Not just what you do
(Hope it’s what you want
Not just what you do)
Hope it's what you meant
Not just what you do
