Lyrics:
Any way the wind blows it doesn't really matter cause it all just ends the same
But I just keep on giving while you just keep on taking now
You don't want to face the blame

The things we try to hide just to make us feel better
and you just keep me waiting while I could take forever
pulling up in pieces just to put me back together

Cover me in sugar just to get me through the night
Kisses sweet as candy girl you know I’ll be alright
Jumping off the moon baby it'll be a time
Chase the New York city skyline
Cover me in sugar just to get me through the night
Kisses sweet as candy girl you know I’ll be just fine
Driving at a thousand miles so I can see the light
Chase the New York city skyline

New York New York
New York New York
New York New York

Any way the mind goes it’s all just purple matter
But the thoughts just feel the same
And I got no distinction for the moments I’ve been missing
You won't even say my name
It’s been years now you feel me
Now what the fuck is wrong with me
Is it curiosity
Can you try to help me be
All the things I wanna see
But you don't seem to care with me
Even if it's ugly I know you got me good
You got me good
You got me good
You got me good, girl

Cover me in sugar just to get me through the night
Kisses sweet as candy girl you know I’ll be alright
Jumping off the moon baby it'll be a time
Chase the New York city skyline
Cover me in sugar just to get me through the night
Kisses sweet as candy girl you know I’ll be just fine
Driving at a thousand miles so I can see the light
Chase the New York city skyline

New York New York
New York New York
New York New York

Two young kids on the corner block
Two young kids at the corner shop
Two young kids just a couple of fools
Just a couple of tools
A couple of I love yous
A couple of I owe you too
You know I do
You know we do
So sad it's true
So sad it's blue
Or maybe it's black
Or maybe it's the kind that gives a fucking heart attack
And you know that I know
I know how it is
See my mother tried to warn us when we were just kids
See my father gone and had one when I was just here
When I was so near
When life is so dear
When minds are so clear
When time is just fear

Two young kids on the corner block
Two young kids at the corner shop
Two young kids just a couple of fools
Just a couple of tools
A couple of I love yous
A couple of I owe you too
You know I do

Mae Muller will represent the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool with the song I Wrote A Song.

Thanks to participating broadcaster BBC: @BBC

~~~~~ Lyrics ~~~~~
When you said you were leavin’
To work on your mental health
You didn’t mention the cheating
You kept that one to yourself
I got so mad was gonna
Cuss you out, outside your house
For everyone to see
Wanted to trash your Benz, tell all your friends
How cruel you were to me
Instead I wrote a song
‘bout how you did me wrong
I could have cried at home
And spent the night alone
Instead i wrote a song
I feel much better now
Me and my girls are out
And we all sing along
Instead I wrote a song
Instead I wrote a song
I kept my cool and composure
My mother would be so proud
I was ready for a sentence baby
Instead I wrote it all down
Oh I was gonna
Cuss you out, outside your house
For everyone to see
Wanted to trash your Benz, tell all your friends
How cruel you were to me
Instead I wrote a song
‘bout how you did me wrong
I could have cried at home
And spent the night alone
Instead i wrote a song
I feel much better now
Me and my girls are out
And we all sing along
Instead I wrote a song
Instead I wrote a song
Look into my eyes, she’s feeling good, she feels alive
So don’t you call my phone tonight, tonight, tonight
No lie, got a kick telling the world just what you did
I’m better now, I burned the bridge
Raising a glass, taking a sip.
Let’s celebrate
Dance it away
I thought my heart would break
Instead i wrote a song
‘bout how you did me wrong
I could have cried at home
And spent the night alone
Instead i wrote a song
I feel much better now
Me and my girls are out
And we all sing along
Instead I wrote a song
Lyrics:
I suppose she’s supposed to be exactly what they want her to be
So pretty in pink
Necklace and ring, don’t be heard
Just be seen
But that’s not who I am
She said I can feel, I can feel too much
And I wish they’d go away, go away
Cause it’s crushing me
It’s crushing me
Don’t you know that you don’t have a say and the scarlet “A” on
Your neck so pretty in red, eyes are all dead
What they haven’t said gets stuck in your head
The silence is deafening and your heart is bleeding out
But they don’t care, no they never cared at all
They never cared at all
That’s not who I am
She said I can feel, I can feel too much
And I wish they’d go away, go away
Cause its crushing me
It’s crushing me
It’s crushing me
It’s crushing me
She just wants to be free, take it or leave it
Eyes like the sunrise
Colorful rainbow
She said I can feel, I can feel too much
And I wish it’d go away, go away
Cause they’re crushing me
They’re crushing me
(I can feel, I can feel too much
They’re crushing me
I can feel, I can feel too much
Oh they’re crushing me)
Crushing me
Crash down on me
Crash down on me
Lyrics:
Let’s party
Barbie's been a princess way too long
Barbies got a gun with no safety on
Barbie needs to listen, when I fuckin talk.
Barbie thinks Ken is about to get shot.
ken and barbie
sitting in a tree
K I L L I N G
barbie and ken
in a pink dream house
two go in,
Only one comes out
i cut you
you cut me
we bleed in perfect harmony
i cut you
you cut me
we bleed in perfect harmony
Hey Ken,
Yeah Barbie?
Do you wanna fuckin party?
Do you wanna lemme tie you to the back of my Ferrari?
Will let me cut your head off if I tell you that I’m sorry?
Kens got the axe and he’s ready to attack,
Bout to go Amityville on your plastic ass.
barbie's in pink but my glock is jet black
roll your eyes one more time and i'll make it kick back
ken and barbie
sitting in a tree
K I L L I N G
barbie and ken
in a pink dream house
two go in,
Only one comes out
i cut you
you cut me
we bleed in perfect harmony
i cut you
you cut me
we bleed in perfect harmony
Let's party!
