I’m sure you all know the story of how Megadeth formed. After Dave Mustaine was kicked out of Metallica for his reckless behaviour, he vowed to take revenge by forming his own band that would be faster and heavier. Megadeth became known as one of the “Big Four” Thrash Metal bands that also included Metallica, Slayer and Anthrax.

But where did the name Megadeth come from?
On April 11, 1983, Dave Mustaine was fired from Metallica and sent packing with his guitar and amp on a bus back to Los Angeles.
As he detailed in his book, ‘Mustaine : A Heavy Metal Memoir’ released in 2010, he recalled how he picked up a newspaper on the journey home that said: “The arsenal of megadeath can't be rid, no matter what the peace treaties come to”.
This name stuck with Mustaine, and at the time he was trying to think of a foreign name that combined the words “Fire” and “Bomb”.
On the same bus journey home he was also writing the lyrics for the first Megadeth song. Whilst he initially called this song “Megadeth” he changed the title to “Set the World Afire”.
When he got back to Los Angeles to form his new band, he decided on the name Fallen Angeles, but that didn’t quite have the apocalyptic impact Mustaine was hoping for.
So one day when his band were sitting around coming up with ideas for names, the singer at the time, Lor Caine, just said, “Hey why don’t we call the band Megadeth”. After seeing Dave Mustaine write this as a song title.
And so the name Megadeth was born. I think you’ll agree, it definitely sounds better than Fallen Angels!

Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6 in B minor, Op. 74, also known as 'Pathétique', is one of the very great symphonies in the history of music. The famous work was performed by the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Marek Janowski in this concert at the Kulturpalast Dresden 2019.

Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840 - 1893) took just a few months to compose the Sixth Symphony and he conducted its premiere himself in St. Petersburg on October 28, 1893. Initially Tchaikovsky had called his Sixth 'A Programme Symphony', but after the premiere he unceremoniously gave it the epithet 'Pathetique' – and that is how it has gone down in history.
According to Tchaikovsky, the actual program is full of subjective emotions and is meant to remain a mystery. The 6th Symphony is characterized by a mixture of conventional symphonic structure and certain tragic features. Tragic, for example, is the key of B minor, which is considered somber, and the motif of the falling second, which runs through the entire work like a lament. The sweeping third movement, which seems like a triumphant finale, is surpassed by the fourth movement, which has always been interpreted as a requiem that Tchaikovsky wrote to himself in advance since the Russian composer died only a few days after the premiere of his Symphony No. 6, which received a restrained response.
The second performance of the Pathétique, on the other hand, was a great success, and to this day this frequently performed work is an audience favorite. Tchaikovsky's Pathétique Symphony owes its fame not least to the yearning, melancholy second theme from the first movement (04:32).

The headlining bands cut their sets short so Nirvana, who missed their performance slot after supposedly getting caught in traffic and/or at customs, could squeeze in a 30-minute set. However, according to the band's former agent, the band intentionally showed up late so they wouldn't have to play so early in the day.
Nirvana played using Rausch's equipment, resulting in Kurt and Krist playing on the opposite sides of the stage as usual.
