LYRICS

They fell in love one summer
A little too wild for each other
shiny till it wasn’t
Feels good till it doesn’t

It was her first real lover
His too till he had another
Oh god when she found out
Trust levels went way down

Of course she was sad
But now she’s glad she dodged a bullet

Took a few years
to soak up the tears
But look at her now
Watch her go

Mmm mmm mmm
Look at her now
Watch her go
Mmm mmm mmm
Wow
Look at her now
Mmm mmm mmm
Look at her now
Watch her go
Mmm mmm mmm
Wow
Look at her now

Fast nights that got him
That new life was his problem
Not saying she was perfect
Still regrets that moment

Like that night
Wasn’t wrong, wasn’t right
What a thing to be human
Made her more of woman

Of course she was sad
But now she’s glad she dodged a bullet

Took a few years
to soak up the tears
But look at her now
Watch her go

Mmm mmm mmm
Look at her now
Watch her go
Mmm mmm mmm
Wow
Look at her now
Mmm mmm mmm
Look at her now
Watch her go
Mmm mmm mmm
Wow
Look at her now

She knows she’ll find love
only if she wants it
She knows she’ll find love
Uhh
She knows she’ll find love
Only if she wants it
She knows she’ll find love
On the up from the way down
Look at her now

Watch her go
Mmm mmm
Look at her now
Ohhhhh
She knows she’ll find love
Only if she wants it
She knows she’ll find love
Look at her now yeah
She knows she’ll find love
(She knows she will)
Only if she wants it
She knows she’ll find love
Wow

Look at her now.

Why Toni Braxton Almost Quit Music Hotney 5 Streams • 3 years ago

American R&B singer, songwriter, actress and television personality Toni Michele Braxton was born in Severn, Maryland on October 7, 1967. Her family, headed by a minister father and an opera singer mother, would eventually include six children. Toni was first in line followed by the couple’s only son, Michael Jr. and then four girls, Traci, Towanda, Trina and Tamar. To say the kids were raised in a strict religious household would be an understatement, and pretty inevitable, considering their father’s profession. First raised in the Apostolic faith, the girls weren’t allowed to wear pants or makeup and definitely weren’t allowed to have boyfriends. All of them were also not allowed to listen to any mainstream music. That last rule was a really tough one for them to adhere to so, not surprisingly, when the cat was away the mice did play. Later, the family converted to the Methodist faith. The move gave the children more leeway to enjoy secular artists and really helped Toni, in particular, develop her vocal style.

What Happened To Naughty By Nature? | Treach Fired Vin Rock on Twitter? Hotney 5 Streams • 3 years ago

Hip Hop trio Naughty by Nature, consisting of Anthony Criss, better known as Treach, Vincent Brown, better known as Vin Rock and Keir Lamont Gist, better known as DJ Kay Gee came together in their teens in East Orange, New Jersey. The first time they performed as a group was at East Orange High School during Kay Gee’s senior talent show in 1987. Growing up, Kay Gee looked up to his older brother, who was heavily into the hip hop music and fashion. But, it wasn’t until after he saw the 1983 hip hop film Wild Style that he became inspired to become a DJ. As a DJ, Kay Gee knew he needed backup so, he asked his childhood friend Vinnie to beatbox for him. But they still needed an MC. Vin knew the perfect person for the job. A guy in his Health class that went by the nickname Tiny T Treachery who would later become known simply as Treach.

Pebbles | Her Childhood Trauma, 5 Marriages, What The TLC Movie Got Wrong & Her Spiritual Awaken Hotney 5 Streams • 3 years ago

Singer, songwriter, business woman, record producer and music executive Pebbles was born Perri Arlette McKissack in Oakland, California. The name Pebbles, she told the Los Angeles Times in 1988, was bestowed upon her as a child by her godfather. He got it from a character on the animated sitcom The Flintstones. She admits that even though she doesn’t look like Pebbles, the name stuck and became a part of her.
