The most influential band of the 1990’s or victims of heavy-handed hype from a ruthless record industry? Always controversial, whether as the adopted darlings of the ‘heroin-chic’ fashion press or simply by refusing to play the game; Nirvana never strayed far from the radar of popular culture.
This film draws on performance footage from concerts and shows including the MTV Music Awards and Saturday Night Live alongside highlights ranging throughout the entire back catalogue. Also included are in-depth interviews with Kurt’s grandfather, Leland Cobain; Philip Luce, a childhood friend and neighbour; Dave Reed, parental guardian; Warren Mason his guitar teacher and many others, the causes to the worldwide effect that was Nirvana are finally laid bare.
Featuring highlights from Smells Like Teen Spirit, About a Girl, Sliver, Polly, Heart Shaped Box, Rape Me, All Apologies and more.

[Letra de "Según Quién (Chisme)"]

[Verso 1: Maluma & Carin León]
Ay, otro chisme más que te cae
Estoy cansado de este lleva y trae, ey
Aquí si hay amor, pero amor para ti ya no hay
No te creas tan importante
Las cosas ya no son como antes (Ah-ah-ah), eh
Hace mucho que yo ya te olvidé

[Coro: Maluma & Carin León]
Y ahora dizque me vieron gritando tu nombre

Y ahora dizque me vieron gritando tu nombre

From 1993 Album: "Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z.".....

Tupac Amaru Shakur born Lesane Parish Crooks; June 16, 1971 – September 13, 1996), also known by his stage names 2Pac, Makaveli, and Pac, was an American rapper and actor. As of 2007, Shakur has sold over 75 million records worldwide. His double disc albums All Eyez on Me (1996) and his Greatest Hits (1998) are among the best-selling albums in the United States. Shakur is consistently ranked as one of the greatest and most influential rappers of all time, and he has been listed and ranked as one of the greatest artists of any genre by many publications, including Rolling Stone, which ranked him 86th on its list of The 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. On April 7, 2017, Shakur was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Shakur began his career as a roadie, backup dancer, and MC for the alternative hip hop group Digital Underground, eventually branching off as a solo artist. Most of the themes in Shakur's songs revolved around the violence and hardship in inner cities, racism, and other social problems. Both of his parents and several other people in his family were members of the Black Panther Party, whose ideals were reflected in his songs. During the latter part of his career, Shakur was a vocal participant during the East Coast–West Coast hip hop rivalry, becoming involved in conflicts with other rappers, producers, and record-label staff members, most notably The Notorious B.I.G. and the label Bad Boy Records. Apart from his career in music, Shakur was also an actor, starring in various films and TV programs in the 1990s, including Poetic Justice (1993), Gang Related (1997) and Gridlock'd (1997).

On September 7, 1996, Shakur was shot in a drive-by shooting at the intersection of Flamingo Road and Koval Lane in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was taken to the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada, where he died from his injuries six days later.

Although Shakur began recording in 1987, his professional entertainment career did not take off until the early 1990s when he debuted in Digital Underground's "Same Song" from the soundtrack to the 1991 film Nothing but Trouble, and also appeared with the group in the film. The song was later released as the lead song of the Digital Underground extended play (EP) This Is an EP Release, the follow-up to their debut hit album Sex Packets. Shakur appeared in the accompanying music video. After his rap debut, he performed with Digital Underground again on the album Sons of the P. Shakur went on to feature Shock G and Money-B from Digital Underground in his track "I Get Around", which ranked #11 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.

In November 1991, Shakur released his debut solo album, 2Pacalypse Now. Though the album did not generate any "Top Ten" hits, 2Pacalypse Now is hailed by many critics and fans for its underground feel, with many rappers such as Nas, Eminem, Game, and Talib Kweli having pointed to it as inspiration. Although the album was originally released on Interscope Records, the rights to its distribution are now owned by Amaru Entertainment, the label owned by Shakur's mother. The album's name is a reference to the 1979 film Apocalypse Now.

2Pacalypse Now generated significant controversy for numerous reasons. The songs "Trapped" and "Brenda's Got a Baby" were widely noted for their poetic qualities but also offered strong critiques of unjust social policies. Dan Quayle criticized the album after a Texas youth's defense attorney claimed he was influenced by 2Pacalypse Now and its theme of police brutality before shooting a state trooper. Quayle said, "There's no reason for a record like this to be released. It has no place in our society." Shakur stated that he felt he had been misunderstood. He said, "I started out saying I was down for the young black male, you know, and that was gonna be my thang," Shakur said. "I just wanted to rap about things that affected young black males. When I said that, I didn't know that I was gonna tie myself down to just take all the blunts and hits for all the young black males, to be the media's kicking post for young black males.

His second studio album, Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z..., was released in February 1993. The album did better than its predecessor both critically and commercially, debuting at number 24 on the Billboard 200. The album contains many tracks emphasizing Shakur's political and social views, and there are noticeable differences in production from his first effort. While 2Pacalypse Now had an indie-rap-oriented sound, Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z... is generally considered Shakur's "breakout" album. It spawned the hits "Keep Ya Head Up" and "I Get Around" and reached platinum status. On vinyl, Side A (tracks 1–8) was labeled the "Black Side" and Side B (tracks 9–16) the "Dark Side". It is Shakur's tenth-biggest selling album, with 1,366,000 units moved as of 2004.

Luke talks about the name of his new album, starting his music career, performing in front of a big crowd, being embraced by the country music community, everyone he has ever met reaching out for tickets, and his song “Burn.”

MY SOUL SAYS YES

Where you lead me
I will follow
When You call me
I will answer
Oh my Lord teach me how to know Your ways
(Repeat Verse)
Oh my Lord come lay Your hands all over me

So Be My Light
Be My Guide
Be My Way
Be My Will
Oh My Lord Come Lay Your Hands All Over Me

Whatever It Takes
Whenever You Want
What Moment You Choose
Whatever You Plan
Oh My Lord, May Your Will Be Done In Me

Chorus
My soul says Yes, Says Yes, Says Yeeees
My Soul says Yes, Says yes To Your Will

Lyrics
I love You, Lord
For Your mercy never fails me
All my days, I've been held in Your hands
From the moment that I wake up
Until I lay my head
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God

And all my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God

I love Your voice
You have led me through the fire
In the darkest night
You are close like no other
I've known You as a Father
I've known You as a Friend
And I have lived in the goodness of God (yeah)

And all my life You have been faithful (oh)
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God (yeah)

Your goodness is running after
It's running after me
Your goodness is running after
It's running after me
With my life laid down
I'm surrendered now
I give You everything

'Cause Your goodness is running after
It's running after me (oh-oh)
'Cause Your goodness is running after
It's running after me
Your goodness is running after
It's running after me
With my life laid down
I'm surrendered now
I give You everything
'Cause Your goodness is running after
It keeps running after me

And all my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I'm gonna sing of the goodness of God
(I'm gonna sing, I'm gonna sing)

'Cause all my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I'm gonna sing of the goodness of God
Oh, I'm gonna sing of the goodness of God

Lyrics:
I searched the world
But it couldn’t fill me
Man’s empty praise
and treasures that fade
Are never enough

Then You came along
And put me back together
And every desire is now satisfied
Here in Your love

Oh there’s nothing better than You
There’s nothing better than You
Lord there’s nothing, nothing is better
than You

I’m not afraid
To show You my weakness
My failures and flaws
Lord You’ve seen them all
And You still call me friend

‘Cause the God of the mountain
Is the God of the valley
There’s not a place
Your mercy and grace
Won’t find me again

You turn mourning to dancing
You give beauty for ashes
You turn shame into glory
You’re the only one who can

You turn graves into gardens
You turn bones into armies
You turn seas into highways
You’re the only one who can
You’re the only one who can

VERSE 1:
Light of the World
You stepped down into darkness
Opened my eyes let me see
Beauty that made this heart adore You
Hope of a life spent with You

CHORUS:
Here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that You're my God
You're altogether lovely
Altogether worthy
Altogether wonderful to me

VERSE 2:
King of all days
Oh so highly exalted
Glorious in heaven above
Humbly You came to the Earth You created
All for love's sake became poor

BRIDGE:
And I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross

TAG:
Call upon the name of the Lord
And be saved

This is the story of how Drakeo The Ruler lost his life.

Lyrics:

Could’ve been a blessing,
Could’ve been a curse.
Could’ve been a mess,
Could’ve been much worse.

I don’t get no island fever
And the grass couldn’t get much greener,
Made my home over you,
And I’ll never get tired
Of the view.

I could get used to this,
I could be persuaded.
I don’t feel like wandering,
Travel’s overrated.

I don’t get no island fever,
And the grass couldn’t get much greener,
Made my home over you,
And I’ll never get tired
Of the view.

If I ever needed to be somewhere,
If I ever needed to fly away,
I’d hire someone who looks like me
To sing my songs
And ride the highway.

Could’ve been a blessing,
Could’ve been a curse.
Could’ve been a mess,
Could’ve been much worse.

I don’t get no island fever,
And the grass couldn’t get much greener,
Made my home over you,
And I’ll never get tired
Of the view.

If I ever needed to be somewhere,
If I ever needed to fly away,
I’d hire someone who looks like me
To sing my songs
And ride the highway.

Could’ve been a blessing,
Could’ve been a curse.
Could’ve been a mess,
Could’ve been much worse.

I don’t get no island fever,
And the grass couldn’t get much greener,
Made my home over you,
And I’ll never get tired
Of the view.

I don’t take it for granted,
But my plane is safely landed
In my home over you,
And I’ll never get tired
Of the view.

Lyrics:
Oh baby, baby
Oh baby, baby
Oh baby, baby
How was I supposed to know
That something wasn't right here
Oh baby baby
I shouldn't have let you go
And now you're out of sight, yeah
Show me, how you want it to be
Tell me baby
'Cause I need to know now what we've got

My loneliness is killing me
I must confess, I still believe
When I'm not with you I lose my mind
Give me a sign
Hit me baby one more time

Official music video for II Just Don't Know ft. Jerry Cantrell by Duff McKagan - New Album LIGHTHOUSE available now at https://www.DuffOnline.com

Duff on the new album:
"The crashing….the cresting waves, the falling through of all that surrounds you. Life sometimes tosses us around, and we feel the want of comfort and the pull of home. A ship tossed like a toy through the Cape, sails ripped and the wood groaning with the scraping of its ballast….a soul trying with all its might to find peace and a center. Find a lighthouse. I have my lighthouse….its beacon swirling in the darkness with her warmth and promise of nurture, love, laughter, and all that is true. Won’t you be my lighthouse, give me light,…and bring me home."

Co-founder of Def Jam Recordings Russell Simmons recalls his past involvement with drugs, including memories of taking LSD every Friday in high school, facing arrest for dealing fake cocaine and ultimately quitting his substance use cold turkey. Simmons addresses his brother’s struggle with drug addiction and reveals why he called their attic the “rocket ship.” Later, Simmons shares insights into his experience as a gang member, recounting the time he nearly killed someone.

Jim Croce was an influential American singer-songwriter whose musical career soared in the early 1970s.Born in 1943, Croce's journey to success began in Philadelphia, where he honed his musical skills and met his future wife, Ingrid Jacobson. Signing with ABC Records, Croce gained widespread recognition with hits like "You Don't Mess Around with Jim" and "Time in a Bottle." Tragically, at the peak of his fame, Croce's life was cut short in a fatal plane crash in 1973, leaving behind a rich legacy of heartfelt storytelling and folk-rock melodies. His timeless songs, such as "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" and "Operator (That's Not the Way It Feels)," continue to resonate with audiences, cementing his place as an enduring and
beloved figure in the music industry.

Lyrics:

Let me say
Since, since we've been together
Uh, loving you forever is all I need
Let me be the one you come running to
I'll never be untrue

Oh, baby, let's, let's stay together
Loving you whether
Whether times are good or bad, happy or sad

I, I'm so in love with you
Whatever you want to do
It's alright with me
'Cause you make me feel so brand new
I want to spend my whole life with you
Let me say
Since, since we've been together
Uh, loving you forever is all I need
Let me be the one you come running to
I'll never be untrue

Oh, baby, let's, let's stay together
Loving you whether
Whether times are good or bad, happy or sad

(Good or bad, happy or sad)

Why, oh, tell me, why do people break up
And turn around and make up?
I just came to see
You'd never do that to me, would you, baby?
Being around you is all I see

So, baby, let's we all stay together
Loving you whether
Whether times are good or bad, happy or sad
Let's (let's stay together) stay together
Loving you whether
Whether times are good or bad, happy or sad

(Let's stay together) stay together
Loving you whether
Whether (times are good or bad, happy or sad)
Oh, baby, let's
Let's
Loving you whether
Whether (times are good or bad, happy or sad)

Lyrics:

Girl I think that I should let you know
That before I met you, I let go
All my hopes and dreams of finding that someone
Cause it never seemed that I, will find real love

(I never)
I never knew love could be real
Until I saw you (I never)
I never knew how much I feel
Until I touch you (Till I touch you)
I never knew (Yeah)
What love could do (Knew yeah)
The way you changed my life (You changed my life, girl)
Now it's better than even I
I realized, I never knew

Girl, I think you know, you stole my heart
Noting my emotions from the start
Now my life with you is something I adore
What you mean to me I'll treasure, ever more

I never knew love could be real
Until I saw you (Till I saw you)
Never, never knew how much I feel (Oh)
Until I touch you (Till I touch you, babe)
I never knew (Never)
What love could do
(The way) The way you changed my life
(The way you changed my life)
Now it's better than even I
Realized (Realized, oh baby)

Stay with me (Stay with me)
Always (Always)
Be my girl (Be my girl)
Forever (Forever and Ever)
Take this ring (Take my ring)
Say yes (Say yes)
Stay (Stay)
In (In)
Love (Love)
With (With me)

Saw you (Yeah)
Touch you (I wanna touch you)
(Touch you there)
Changed my life (You changed my life girl, oh)
(Oh, girl I never knew)

I never knew love could be real
Until I saw you (Till I saw you)
Never, never knew how much I feel
Until I touch you (Till I touch you baby, yeah)
I never knew
What love could do (Never)
The way you changed my life (Changed my life)
Now it's better than even I
I realized, I never knew

I never knew love could be real
Until I saw you (Till I saw you, girl)
Never, never knew how much I feel
Until I touch you (Uh, I touch you)
I never knew (Never)
What love could do (No)
The way you changed my life
Now it's better than even I
Realized, I never knew

Lyrics:
I don’t wanna mess this up
Could it be too much to say I’m in
Deep end
Swimming in my feelings
I been here before
But it feels like I’m drowning
Sinking
In my overthinking
Tell me am I foolish to think you’d meet me here
Oh ah oh ha
I wanna do this again
Oh ah oh ha
I’m
Going down
‘Cause I know that it’s you
I see in my dreams
I’m
Going down
Let me drown
Over you
Living in my dream
(in my dreams)
I love the way you do it
Don’t stop, don’t wanna lose it
I love the way you do it to me
I love the way you do it
Don’t stop, don’t wanna lose it
I love the way you do it to me
But
I don’t wanna mess this up
Could it be too much
To say I’m in

I just wanna know wassup
Do you feel it
‘Cause I think I’m in
Love
I’m finna take my time
My mind
My rules
This ain’t no crime
Making love to you
Though you ain’t said it’s mine
I have a hard time waiting for you babe
Like ooo boy
You boy
Got me where you want
Just gotta say and it’s on
It’s like
Oo boy
Do you know you got me like
Where do you go when you’re alone?
Oh haaa
Oh ah oh ha
I wanna do this again
Oh ah oh ha
I’m
Going down
‘Cause I know that it’s you
I see in my dreams
I’m
Going down
Let me drown
Over you
Living in my dream
(In my dreams)
I love the way you do it
Don’t stop, don’t wanna lose it
I love the way you do it to me
I love it
I love the way you do it
Don’t stop, don’t wanna lose it
I love the way you do it to me
But
I don’t wanna mess this up
Could it be too much
To say I’m in
I just wanna know wassup
Do you feel it
‘Cause I think I’m in
Love
Love
I guess it’s all in my head
Until you let my body know
‘Cause everyone ain’t you babe
Want nobody but you babe
So tell me whatcha gone do babe

Lyrics

I'd wash the sand off the shore
Give you the world if it was mine
Blow you right to my door
Feels fine
Feels like
You're mine
Feels right
So fine
I'm Yours
You're mine
Like Paradise

I'd give the world if it was mine
Feels fine

Feels like
You're mine
I'm Yours
So fine
Like Paradise

I'd wash the sand off the shore
Give you the world if it was mine
Blow you right to my door
Feels fine

Feels like
You're mine
Feels right
So fine
I'm Yours
You're mine
Like Paradise

Oooh what a life
Oooh what a life
Oooh what a life
Oooh what a life

Lyrics

As a child it was
The place names singing
at me as the first thing

How the mouth
Must be employed
In every corner of itself

To say
“Apalachicola”, or “Hushpuckena”
Like “Gweebarra”; a promise
Softly sung of somewhere else

And as a young man
Blessed to pass so many road signs
And have my foreign ear
Made fresh again
On each unlikely sound
But feel at home
Hearing a music
That few still understand
A butchered tongue still
Singing here above the ground

The ears were chopped
from young men
If the pitch-cap didn’t kill them

They are buried
Without scalp
In the shattered bedrock of our home

You may never know your fortune
Until the distance has been shown between
What is lost forever
And what can still be known

So far from home
To have a stranger call you ‘darling’
And have your guarded heart
Be lifted like a child up by the hand
In some town that just means
‘Home’ to them
With no translator left to sound
A butchered tongue
Still singing here above the ground
