The Flirts were an American female band. The trio was created and masterminded by American Hi-NRG mogul Bobby "O" Orlando,. The trio initially was composed of one blonde, one brunette, and one redhead. They are best known for Hi-NRG songs such as "Passion", "Danger", "Helpless" and "Jukebox (Don't Put Another Dime)".

'Passion' reached # 22 on 29 January 1983 in the Dutch Top 40, their only hit in the Netherlands.

Scarface's Tiny Desk concert radiates with his decadeslong passion as an emcee and producer. There's calculated intent behind every word and note of this 30-minute set and I learned that his love for golf also runs deep during our initial meeting. He was playing a round and had difficulty dividing his attention between the plan and the course. Three days before the show, amid rehearsals, I got a call from Facemob asking, "What if I brought Mike Dean?" My expectations were already high, but that final addition set the stage for something special.

Mike Dean provided unmatched authenticity, and their shared stories added sentimental value to this performance. After all, his signature keys and synths can be heard on most of Scarface's classics and countless Rap-A-Lot records. Here, we get a rare glimpse of Scarface the conductor, bouncing through multiple eras of his catalog including "On My Block," "Mary Jane" and the bone-chilling "I Seen a Man Die."

Scarface, along with Rakim, was recently awarded the inaugural Hip-Hop Grandmaster Award from the newly launched Paid in Full Foundation, which includes a sizable financial prize and healthcare. No matter how the never-ending hip-hop greats debate is sliced, the rapper's place is cemented as one of the most influential storytellers in the culture and his Tiny Desk is proof.

August 22, 2016 by BOB BOILEN • There's brutal honesty in the songs of Margaret Glaspy that can make them feel cold, but they're also heartfelt. That's part of what makes Glaspy a top new artist of 2016 for many of the writers here at NPR Music.

Glaspy's new album Emotions And Math, made with her band, is a huge leap from her earlier EPs Homeschool (2012) and If & When (2013), which mostly consisted of the singer and her electric guitar. You can hear Glaspy's sharp words on those older records, but now that wit and wisdom packs a confident punch — as does her guitar playing, which is no longer simply fingerpicked, but also crunched with power chords behind a newly brazen voice.

The Tiny Desk concert provides a great example of how much power can be found in simplicity and purity. Everything serves the songs here: There's no overplaying, no frills, just great music and a tremendous new artist who sounds thrilled to be playing it.

In 2012, Lady Antebellum embarked on their first ever headlining world tour. They had already sold millions of records, had No.1 hits and triumphed at the Grammy Awards but this would be the first time they had taken their own show out to their fans across the globe. Spectacular staging combined with great performances ensured that the tour was a stunning success. This is the second night at the famous Madison Square Garden and the band is firing on all cylinders! Not only that, but there is a great mood tonight with the audience being just as rowdy as the night before and the band being in a good mood as well. In fact, the crowd is so loud, that Freddie as fight for their attention early on: "Listen my darlings, listen to me. I'm talking to you, motherfuckers!" Later on, Brian promises that "It's gonna be a rude night", a comment the crowd wouldn't fully understand until an hour later: The band have invited a bunch of strippers to ride some bicycles during "Fat Bottomed Girls" - almost naked! Later, Freddie gets the crowd roaring in applause again as he dedicates the final song of the show, "We Are the Champions", to newly crowned World Champions of football (1978), the New York Yankees. It's a wonderful and cheerful end to a wonderful show. But now - let's get to the performances!

The best show of the Jazz Tour kicks off with a rather solid but not too fantastic "We Will Rock You" but things heat up quickly with a great "Let Me Entertain You" where Freddie goes for two chorus A4s - similar to quite a few Game Tour versions! "Somebody to Love" is the best of the three New York area renditions with a passionate delivery and fine musicianship. "If You Can't Beat Them" might not feature a chorus attempt but the jam sections are absolutely terrific. The medley is pretty good with another creative "Get Down, Make Love" performance but Roger throwing off the band during his own song due to skipping a line... "Now I'm Here" probably is the best November performance as everyone is giving his all! "Spread Your Wings" is absolutely gorgeous with Brian playing another wonderful solo. The acoustic set features a Top 3 "Dreamers Ball" where the entire band has lots of fun, a gorgeous "Love of My Life" and the final "'39" with Roger playing the drum kit on the entire finale. "It's Late" is pretty solid overall.

"Brighton Rock" is fantastic although I slightly prefer the rendition of last night as it seemed a little more experimental overall. "Fat Bottomed Girls" is a fun performance with the band feeding off their surprise of the night. "Keep Yourself Alive" is terrific with the band jamming out during the intro and doing it again after the first chorus, absolutely terrific stuff! "Bohemian Rhapsody" is a much weaker performance compared to last night as Freddie struggles with the song now. "Tie Your Mother Down" is less daring but features a great A4 sustain during the outro. The first encore is pretty weak as Freddie struggles with the chorus sustains but the band is delivering on all fronts. "We Will Rock You" sees Freddie attempting all three A4s but none sound too great unfortunately. "We Are the Champions" also is much weaker than last night's rendition but features a few nice moments, the audience is terrific after Freddie's dedication before the song.
