Lyrics:
Shes gonna cut my head off But i don’t care
I don’t care.
She’s gonna cut my head off But i don’t care.
They say you clean up nice, You look like a dead man
Like a dead man.
She said “you dress up nice” I feel like a dead man
A dead man//

Culture is so claustrophobic, Claws to prove it, hurts so good.
And the partys over I’m still on your couch, I’m Not lost..
And if there is a line
I know you won’t cross it Take your time
(take your time)
But i might die (die)
Shes gonna cut my head off But i don’t care
I don’t care.
She’s gonna cut my head off But i don’t care.
They say you clean up nice,

You look like a dead man Like a dead man.
They say “you dress up nice” I feel like a dead man
A dead man//
like a dead man//
How can i rest in peace if i’m bured by a highway? Paint on the keys
Is everybody still breathing?
Weight of my shadow
It gets more heavy And it scares me.
The cherubs are scared Yea x3
It’s when the hearts collide Yea x3
Speeding with no drive Yea x3
Just let the light expire Yea x3
You say
“You know that’s it’s fine” Yea x3
I say
“I know that it’s fine”
You said
“It’s only a fire”
I think it’s more than a fire...
Shes gonna cut my head off But i don’t care
I don’t care.
She’s gonna cut my head off But i don’t care.
They say you clean up nice, You look like a dead man

Like a dead man.
She said “you dress up nice” I feel like a dead man
A dead man//
Shes gonna cut my head off But i don’t care
I don’t care.
She’s gonna cut my head off But i don’t care.
They say you clean up nice, (clean. up. nice.)
You look like a dead man
Like a dead man.
She said “you dress up nice” (dress. Up. nice.)
I feel like a dead man
A dead man//
Culture is claustrophobic, claws to prove it.
hurts so good//
and the party’s over I’m still on the couch ..not lost//
and if there is a line
I know you won’t cross it// take ur time
but I might die//
they say
“you clean up nice”
I look like a dead man like a dead man//
Culture is claustrophobic,

Claws to prove it. hurts so good//
and the party’s over I’m still on the couch ..not lost//

Lyrics

JESY
I always say what I’m feeling
I was born without a zip on my mouth
Sometimes I don't even mean it
It takes a little while to figure me out

LEIGH
I like my coffee with two sugars in it
High heels and my jewellery dripping
Drink and I get all fired up, hey, hey, hey
Insecure but I’m working with it
Many things that I could get rid of
Ain’t about to give it up

JADE
I made a few mistakes I regret it nightly
I broke a couple hearts that I wear on my sleeve
My momma always said, “girl you’re trouble” and
And now I wonder could you fall for a woman like me

PERRIE
And every time we touch boy you make me feel weak
I can tell you’re shy and I think you’re so sweet
Spending every night under covers and
Still I wonder could you fall for a woman like me

CHORUS
Woman like me, like a woman like me, la la la
Woman like me, like a woman like me, la la la
Woman like me, like a woman like me, la la la
Woman like me, like a woman like me

And baby just be mine for the weekend
We can get a takeaway and sit on the couch
Or we could just go out for the evening
Hopefully end up with you kissing my mouth

You got them blue jeans with a rip up in them
My hair with your fingers in it
Love it when you turn me on
Yoncé with a little bit of
Love drunk in the middle with it
Get down to our favourite song

I made a few mistakes I regret it nightly
I broke a couple hearts that I wear on my sleeve
My momma always said, “girl you’re trouble” and
And now I wonder could you fall for a woman like me

And every time we touch boy you make me feel weak
I can tell you’re shy and I think you’re so sweet
Spending every night under covers and
Still I wonder could you fall for a woman like me

CHORUS

NICKI (RAP)
Woman like me
Yes a woman like me
Soon as I brush up on him
I could tell he like me
You know all the mandem a try to swipe me
Knotted up he could afford to ice me
Tell’em it’s a bad trini bitch in ah ya area
But the more bad bitches then the more merrier
Baddies to my left and to the right a little scarier
Rude boy tell me can you handle all this derriere?
A million I’m getting my billy on
Greatest of all time cus I’m a chameleon
I switch it up for every era, I’m really bomb
These bitches really wanna be Nicki
I’m really mom
Apple cut the check I want all this money
Seven up go grip the tech
And leave all this bloody
It’s the queen and Little Mix
Skated on them. Sorry
My daddy is Indian- swish
all this Curry

Woman like me, like a woman like me, la la la
Woman like me, like a woman like me

I made a few mistakes I regret it nightly,
I broke a couple hearts that I wear on my sleeve,
My Mumma always said, “girl you’re trouble” and
And now I wonder could you fall for a woman like me,

And every time we touch boy you make me feel weak,
I can tell you’re shy and I think you’re so sweet,
Spending every night under covers

2 Chainz: Tiny Desk (Home) Concert Hotney 3 vistas • 3 años hace

The Tiny Desk is working from home for the foreseeable future. Introducing NPR Music's Tiny Desk (home) concerts, bringing you performances from across the country and the world. It's the same spirit — stripped-down sets, an intimate setting — just a different space.

NPR Music's Tiny Desk series will celebrate Black History Month by featuring four weeks of Tiny Desk (home) concerts and playlists by Black artists spanning different genres and generations each week. The lineup includes both emerging and established artists who will be performing a Tiny Desk concert for the first time. This celebration highlights the beautiful cornucopia of Black music and our special way of presenting it. We hope you enjoy.

LaTesha Harris | February 17, 2021
"There are a lot of people who have been moving the needle forward for Black people. And they have been for some time," says an earnest, almost plaintive 2 Chainz. In a heart-filled sermon, he cites Martin Luther King Jr., Tyler Perry and Puffy as trailblazers, practicing gratitude for Black leaders who inspire him and the world at large. It's a sober moment of euphoria — and a drastic shift from the first 17 minutes of the Grammy winner's flashy Tiny Desk.

Colored in royalty, neon hues of lavender, fuchsia and violet, in his high-end nail studio Pamper (yes, he owns it, and he's not shy about letting you know), 2 Chainz is feeling himself throughout his five-song set. Getting a champagne-soaked pedicure, rolling one and periodically shouting out his sixth and latest studio album, So Help Me God!, the rapper exudes Black excellence in the way of luxurious comfortability. His unbridled braggadocio so clearly comes from the freedom of security after being denied opportunities, not just individually but generationally.

And he's worked for it. First coming up from Atlanta's hip-hop scene as one half of Playaz Circle, 2 Chainz landed a solo record deal and guest verses on Kanye West's "Mercy" and Nicki Minaj's "Beez in the Trap'' in 2012. And, through guest verses and singles, his music's been dominating the charts ever since. For his Tiny Desk (home) concert, he rewinds the clock and samples that stacked discography ("Good Drank," "I'm Different") and performs three new hits ("Grey Area," "Southside Hov," "Vampire"). Alternating between earnest vulnerability and well-deserved conceit, 2 Chainz offers up his best: leaning into the dynamism of life and practicing gratitude.

LYRICS
Standing right there in front of me
Like he'd never been gone
Over in a corner we wrote this song

Coming out of a dream
Trying to hold onto that melody
Another dream becomes a reality

Over in the corner, getting high, high, high
Come on

Thank you for the music
Thank you for the song
Thank you for the visit, what took so long
All of them good times
Fortune and the fame
Since you've been gone, things don't feel the same
I wanna thank you, in the song, oh I
Huh

Ahhhhh
Come on

Thank you for the music
Thank you for the song
Thank you for the visit, what took so long
Thank you for the good times
Fortune and the fame
Since you've been gone, things don't feel the same
I gotta thank you
I gotta thank you, oh Lord
Thank you, hey
I wanna thank you, oh
Come on, come on, oh, oh, oh, yeah
Thank you for the good times
Fortune and the fame
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, oh
It’s all right
Hold onto the melody
Hold on
