LYRICS

It’s been quiet in my mind
Now I’m paranoid
It's just a matter of time before it's making noise
It's like an hourglass I can't turn over
And when it's out it comes down like a mortar
I know you think I'm always in control
But it's hard for me to let things go
There's nothing left to talk about
Now you got me thinking how

I've been getting bad news
All night
Swimming in a safe place
That’s run dry
You’ll never get the chance to
Rewind
You say that you can, but don’t
I need an antidote
When safe and sound
Comes burning down
I’ll be getting bad news
All night
Letting go of high hopes
That just died
Die.

You seem to love it when you drag me down
You’re concrete on my feet, I drown
Yeah, breathings kind of hard
Cause I’m sinking in the dark
And you’re not gonna pull me out
I know you think I’m always in control
But it’s hard for me to let things go
There’s nothing left to talk about
Now you got me thinking how

I've been getting bad news
All night
Swimming in a safe place
That’s run dry
You’ll never get the chance to
Rewind
You say that you can, but don’t
I need an antidote
When safe and sound
Comes burning down
I’ll be getting bad news
All night
Letting go of high hopes
That just died

I’m watching where I walk
Dodging every aftershock
Of the heavy steps you take
I’ll separate
I need a victory
Far and away from where I wanna be
Far and away from the shelter I seek
Far and away from the fresh air to breathe
Everything that's sacred to me is just out of arm’s reach

When safe and sound
Comes burning down
I’ll be getting bad news
All night
Letting go of high hopes
I’ve been getting bad news
All night
Swimming in a same place
That’s run dry
You’ll never get a chance to
Rewind
You say that you can, but don’t
I need an antidote
When safe and sound
Comes burning down
I’ll be getting bad news
All night
Letting go of high hopes
That just died
Die!

Far and away from the fresh air to breathe
Everything that's sacred to me is just out of arm’s reach

Lyrics:
Running outside the Nazca Lines
You know I see you all in white
Hoping you'll grow the fruitful vines
And the rain to give us life

Violence born within my mind
I know it always takes its time
Climbing inside the cosmic eye
And forgive the enemy

I wonder who I am
Reflections offer nothing
I wonder where I stand
I'm afraid of myself

Watching you crumble to the ground
Made me want to run away
Helping you find the golden crown
Made it easier to stay

I wonder who I am
Reflections offer nothing
I wonder where I stand
I'm afraid of myself

At the bottom of the mountain
Unaware of my surroundings
Separation from my spirit
Let the trees fall where they may

I wonder who I am
Reflections offer nothing
I wonder where I stand
I'm afraid of myself

Directed by Floria Sigismondi and Produced by Jannie McInnes & Danny Lockwood

Lyrics:
Summer after high school when we first met
We make out in your Mustang to Radiohead
And on my 18th birthday
We got matching tattoos
Used to steal your parents’ liquor
And climb to the roof
Talk about our future
Like we had a clue
Never planned on one day
I’d be losing you

In another life
I would be your girl
We’d keep all our promises
Be us against the world
In another life
I would make you stay
So I don’t have to say
You were the one that got away
The one that got away

I was June and you were my Johnny Cash
Never one without the other, we made a pact
Sometimes when I miss you
I put those records on
Someone said you had your tattoo removed
Saw you downtown, singing the blues
It’s time to face the music
I’m no longer your muse

But in another life
I would be your girl
We’d keep all our promises
Be us against the world
In another life
I would make you stay
So I don’t have to say
You were the one that got away
The one that got away
The one
The one
The one
The one that got away

All this money can’t buy me a time machine, no
Can’t replace you with a million rings, no
I should have you told you what you meant to me, whoa
‘Cause now I pay the price

In another life
I would be your girl
We’d keep all our promises
Be us against the world
In another life
I would make you stay
So I don’t have to say
You were the one that got away
The one that got away
The one (the one)
The one (the one)
The one (the one)

In another life
I would make you stay
So I don’t have to say
You were the one that got away
The one that got away

Lyrics:
Last day of the rest of my life
I wish I would've known
'Cause I didn't kiss my mama goodbye

I didn't tell her that I loved her and how much I cared
Or thank my pops for all the talks
And all the wisdom he shared

Unaware, I just did what I always do
Every day, the same routine
Before I skate off to school

But who knew that this day wasn't like the rest
Instead of taking a test
I took two to the chest

Call me blind, but I didn't see it coming
Everybody was running
But I couldn't hear nothing

Except gun blasts, it happened so fast
I don't really know this kid
Though I sit by him in class

Maybe this kid was reaching out for love
Or maybe for a moment
He forgot who he was
Or maybe this kid just wanted to be hugged
Whatever it was
I know it's because

We are, we are the youth of the nation
We are, we are youth of the nation
We are, we are the youth of the nation
We are, we are youth of the nation

Little Suzy, she was only twelve
She was given the world
With every chance to excel

Hang with the boys and hear the stories they tell
She might act kind of proud
But no respect for herself

She finds love in all the wrong places
The same situations
Just different faces

Changed up her pace since her daddy left her
Too bad he never told her
She deserved much better

Johnny boy always played the fool
He broke all the rules
So you would think he was cool

He was never really one of the guys
No matter how hard he tried
Often thought of suicide

It's kind of hard when you ain't got no friends
He put his life to an end
They might remember him then

You cross the line and there's no turning back
Told the world how he felt
With the sound of a gat

We are, we are the youth of the nation
We are, we are youth of the nation
We are, we are youth of the nation
We are, we are youth of the nation

Who's to blame for the lives that tragedies claim
No matter what you say
It don't take away the pain

That I feel inside, I'm tired of all the lies
Don't nobody know why
It's the blind leading the blind

I guess that's the way the story goes
Will it ever make sense
Somebody's got to know

There's got to be more to life than this
There's got to be more to everything
I thought exists

We are, we are the youth of the nation
We are, we are youth of the nation
We are, we are the youth of the nation
We are, we are youth of the nation

We are, we are the youth of the nation
We are, we are youth of the nation
We are, we are the youth of the nation
We are, we are youth of the nation

The youth of the nation
We are youth of the nation
We are youth of the nation
We are youth of the nation
We are
