Creating this song wasn't easy, but I'm so proud of how it turned out.

During the years trapped inside with chronic health problems the main thing that kept me going was a belief that one day I would come out the other side, and be able to achieve success through music. Grace Beverly Jones OJ (born 19 May 1948) is a Jamaican model, singer and actress. In 1999, she ranked 82nd on VH1's 100 Greatest Women of Rock and Roll, and in 2008, she was honored with a Q Idol Award. Jones influenced the cross-dressing movement of the 1980s and has been an inspiration for artists including Annie Lennox, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Solange, Lorde, Róisín Murphy, Brazilian Girls, Nile Rodgers, Santigold, and Basement Jaxx. In 2016, Billboard magazine ranked her as the 40th greatest dance club artist of all time.

Beginning in 1977, Jones embarked on a music career, securing a record deal with Island Records and initially becoming a star of New York City's Studio 54-centered disco scene. In the early 1980s, she moved toward a new wave style that drew on reggae, funk, post-punk, and pop music, frequently collaborating with both the graphic designer Jean-Paul Goude and the musical duo Sly & Robbie. Her most popular albums include Warm Leatherette (1980), Nightclubbing (1981), and Slave to the Rhythm (1985). She scored Top 40 entries on the UK Singles Chart with "Pull Up to the Bumper", "I've Seen That Face Before", "Private Life", and "Slave to the Rhythm". In 1982, she released the music video collection A One Man Show, directed by Goude.

"S.O.S." is a song from the Swedish pop group ABBA– Benny Andersson, Agnetha Fältskog, Anni-Frid Lyngstad and Björn Ulvaeus. It was their second single from their album ABBA. The song, first called 'Turn me on', was later recorded by Agnetha Fältskog as a solo artist. She sang the song in Swedish on her solo album 'Elva kvinnor i ett hus' (1975). "S.O.S." is written by Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus and manager Stig Anderson. The title was chosen by Stig. The texts he had offered were rewritten by Ulvaeus. The song reached #2 in the Dutch Top 40 in June 1975. It also reached the Top2000 in 1999 and stayed in the Top2000 for all consecutive years. This is the last recording made by Toppop of ABBA. It was first broadcast on 13 June 1975. Forty years after the bitter songs written in the wake of two band divorces for their last album, 1981’s The Visitors, the Swedish pop quartet reunited for Voyage, an album of brand new songs that were released on 5 November 2021.

ABBA - Money, Money, Money - 19 November 1976 - Toppop Hotney 1 Streams • 3 years ago

On May 15 we published the premiere of this long lost video of ABBA. 'Money Money Money' was the first of the three ABBA songs from this long lost tape. Last saturday we published 'When I Kissed The Teacher'. And next saturday we will publish the last song 'Why Did It Have To Be Me'. Stay tuned to our Toppop channel!

On November 19, 1976, ABBA were on top of the charts around the world. Their album ‘Arrival’ was just released and in many countries on its way to the top of the album charts. And the latest single, ‘Money, Money, Money’ was already no. 1 in many countries.

In the Netherlands, ABBA-mania reached its peak that day, because ABBA paid a spectacular one day visit to the Netherlands to promote ‘Arrival’ with a full program: a press conference with gold and platinum record awards, photo sessions and interviews and to top it all, a performance in the super popular AVRO tv- program ‘Een van de 8’.
Earlier that year ‘Fernando’ and ‘Dancing Queen’ had been in the no. 1 spot of the Dutch Top 40 for many weeks. And now ‘Money Money Money’ was on its way to become their third consecutive No. 1 hit in the Netherlands within six months. ABBA was super hot.

This is one of the long lost tapes of that tv program in which ABBA did three songs from 'Arrival': ‘Money, Money, Money’, ‘When I Kissed The Teacher’ and ‘Why Did It Have To Be Me’.

"Money, Money, Money" was written by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus. It was released as a single on 1 November 1976, as the follow-up to "Dancing Queen" (both from the album Arrival). The B-side, "Crazy World", was recorded in 1974 during the sessions for the album ABBA. The song (originally titled "Gypsy Girl") is sung from the viewpoint of a woman who, despite hard work, can barely keep her finances in surplus, and therefore desires a well-off man.
It reached the no. 1 position in The Netherlands, Belgium, Australia, New Zealand, France and Germany, and no. 2 in norway, and Switzerland. In the UK it reached #3.

Today, May 15, 2021, just in time before the Eurovision Song Contest kicks off in the Netherlands next week, we can present to you the premiere of this clip from that performance. In coming weeks we will upload the other two songs.

"My Sweet Lord" is a song by English musician George Harrison, released in November 1970 on his triple album All Things Must Pass. It was also released as a single, Harrison's first as a solo artist, and topped charts worldwide; it was the biggest-selling single of 1971 in the UK. In America and Britain, the song was the first number-one single by an ex-Beatle. Harrison originally gave the song to his fellow Apple Records artist Billy Preston to record; this version, which Harrison co-produced, appeared on Preston's Encouraging Words album in September 1970.

George Harrison MBE (25 February 1943 – 29 November 2001) was an English musician, singer, songwriter, and music and film producer who achieved international fame as the lead guitarist of the Beatles. Sometimes called "the quiet Beatle", Harrison embraced Indian culture and helped broaden the scope of popular music through his incorporation of Indian instrumentation and Hindu-aligned spirituality in the Beatles' work. Although the majority of the band's songs were written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, most Beatles albums from 1965 onwards contained at least two Harrison compositions. His songs for the group include "Taxman", "Within You Without You", "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", "Here Comes the Sun" and "Something".
