A$AP Rocky Transforms Harlem Classroom Into a Rap Video (“Punk Rocky” REMIX) Hotney 13 Bekeken • 9 maanden geleden

A$AP Rocky, Global rap icon, fashion trailblazer, and Harlem native steps into Harlem’s PS 125 to produce a music video inspired by his new song “Punk Rocky.” This episode of Celebrity Substitute is a masterclass in hip hop, creativity, and self expression.

A&AP Rocky introduces students to the art of rap, breaking down how a song comes together from subject matter to structure. A$AP Rocky then shows the class how rap is numbers, from counting bars to finding rhythm and flow. The lesson becomes a crash course in storytelling, confidence, and owning your voice.

In part two, the students put theory into practice, freestyling their own verses before coming together to write lyrics for an original song. With A$AP Rocky’s guidance, the class steps into a brand new recording studio built inside their school, laying down vocals and bringing their ideas to life.
The episode culminates in a once in a lifetime moment as A$AP Rocky and the students film a full music video for their original track, “IDK,” written, recorded, and performed by the kids themselves and inspired by “Punk Rocky”.

Hosted by Julian Shapiro-Barnum (Recess Therapy), Celebrity Substitute invites some of the world’s most recognizable stars to step in as teachers for unsuspecting public school students. The series is executive produced by EGOT winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul via their Ampersand production banner.

Lyrics
You’re everything I’m thinking of
From time to time and dust to dust
Whenever there’s a lull between the void
You fill the silence

Languid on the couch
Think I need to figure this one out
I’m lost beneath your cloud
Cannot keep my two feet on the ground

Wake me
I’ll love you tomorrow
You leave me
Breathless and hollow
Lately
a tough pill to swallow
But I’ll try to compose

I could be, I suppose, someone you should get to know
I could be, I suppose, someone you should get to know

I could get lost in pillowed dreams
Caught in a stitch of what could be
Careful our time’s not what it seems
So shake this one off and dance with me

We’re dancing through the house
Think we need to figure this one out
Shaking like a loose leaf from the spout
I think we need to think on this one

Wake me
I’ll love you tomorrow
You leave me
Breathless and hollow
Lately
A tough pill to swallow
But I’ll try to compose
I could be, I suppose, someone you should get to know
I could be, I suppose, someone you should get to know

I could be, someone you should get to know!
I could be, someone you should get to know!
I could be, someone you should get to know!
I could be,
someone you should get to know!

Wake me
I’ll love you tomorrow
You leave me
Breathless and hollow
Lately
A tough pill to swallow
But I’ll try to compose

I could be, I suppose, someone you should get to know
(I could be, I dunno, someone you should get to know)
I could be, I suppose, someone you should get to know
Someone you should get to know

"DON'T GO IN THE FOREST" Lyrics:
Out of the shadows
Into the dark
Snow falls on the tracks
She's moving in silence
Slips through the cracks
Just one of those nights
Just one of those nights
They say there’s something wrong with me
Nothing I haven’t heard before
But you can’t help to wonder, what’s behind that door
What’s beyond the field?
Something in the trees
Something only you can see
Don’t go
Don’t go in the forest
Don’t know
I don’t know the way out
Don’t look
There’s something behind you
Don’t run
Just look what you’ve done
Tell us a secret
And we’ll let you in
Rest those frozen feet
Got something to show you
So warm and so sweet
Just one tiny bite
Red on black on white
They say there’s something wrong with me
Nothing I haven’t heard before
But you can’t help to wonder, what’s behind that door
What’s beyond the field?
Something in the trees
Something only you can see
Don’t go
Don’t go in the forest
Don’t know
I don’t know the way out
Don’t look
There’s something behind you
Don’t run
Just look what you’ve done
A scream
So cold,
Like icy fingers down your spine
Shadows, sing for me!
They say there’s something wrong with me
Nothing you haven’t heard before
But you can’t help to wonder, what’s behind that door
What’s beyond the field?
Something in the trees
Something only you can see
Don’t go
Don’t go in the forest
Don’t know
I don’t know the way out
Don’t look
There’s something behind you
Don’t run
Just look what you’ve done

*Lyrics*

My spirit starts to move when I look in your eyes
And I’m shakin’ baby ‘cause your spell has got me hypnotized

My heart’s beating and it won’t stop
My blood’s rising straight to the top
When I need you I can’t get enough
Oh yeah

I need your honey
Oh I need your honey
I need your honey
Oh I need your honey
I need your honey
Oh I need your honey
I need your honey
Oh I need your honey

Ooh baby
It never feels the same it’s different every time
And I’ll never ever make you wait when you give me the sign

If you feel it don’t hesitate
I am ready I won’t be late
Babe I need you I can’t get enough
Ooh yeah

I need your honey
Oh I need your honey
I need your honey
Oh I need your honey (ah yeah)
I need your honey
Oh I need your honey (everyday girl)
I need your honey
Oh I need your honey

It don’t take much to turn me on
The clothes that you wear the smell of your hair
Takes me over
Oh the passion we brew is a love always new
It’s so right
Oh babe I can’t wait I’ll be jumping straight into your fire
Ohhh

Come let’s do it into the night
I am here to make you feel right
When I need you I can’t get enough
Oh yeah

I need your honey
Oh I need your honey
I need your honey
Oh I need your honey (Ah yeah)
I need your honey
Oh I need your honey (Everyday girl)
I need your honey
Oh I need your honey

(Oh yeah)
I need your honey
Oh I need your honey (I need your honey)
I need your honey
Oh I need your honey (Ooh Ooh)
I need your honey
Oh I need your honey (Aw yeah)
I need your honey
Oh I need your honey
