In this flashback clip from 2017, former cop Derrick Parker detailed the infamous club shooting involving Diddy, Jennifer Lopez, and Shyne. Eric Smith, better known by his stage name E-Moneybags, was an American rapper, who was born in Brooklyn, New York, but raised and spent most of his life in Queens. During his career, E-Moneybags worked with several well-known hip-hop acts, like Tupac Shakur, Live Squad, Prodigy, Noreaga, Bravehearts, Notorious B.I.G, and Nas. His connections within the hip-hop community were significant, and he collaborated with various artists. The most notable of these connections was his friendship with Prodigy from Mobb Deep. This association provided E-Moneybags with a platform to collaborate with one of the influential figures in East Coast hip-hop. Their friendship went beyond music, as they shared experiences and a deep connection rooted in their similar backgrounds and life struggles. Although E-Moneybags didn't release a mainstream album, he was featured on various mixtapes and collaborated with other underground artists. His music often reflected the harsh realities of street life, addressing topics such as crime, poverty, and the challenges of growing up in urban environments. Despite growing up in the same city, Jay-Z and E-Moneybags had a pretty turbulent relationship, with one instance even almost becoming deadly. The bad blood is thought to have originated over Smith's displeasure with Jay-Z having an artist on his Roc-A-Fella Records roster named "H Money Bags", which lead to a verbal confrontation between the two during an interview with Jay-Z on New York's Hot 97 radio show.
