“Amor a la Mexicana” es una canción interpretada por Thalia, publicada como el primer sencillo del álbum del mismo nombre. Fue escrita por Mario Puparro y lanzada en el año 1997; el videoclip fue dirigido por Benny Corral.

Si bien esta canción está catalogada como pop, contiene muchos matices propios de la región mexicana, ya que incluye en dicha mezcla musical principalmente a dos ritmos, cumbia mexicana y música ranchera. La vestimenta que Thalia utiliza en el videoclip, corresponde a un atuendo modernizado y mezclado con otras tendencias de los originales trajes típicos de México.

“Amor a la Mexicana” es el título del quinto álbum de estudio de Thalia. Fue su segunda producción para EMI Music. Emilio Estefan Jr., Kike Santander y Pablo Flores escribieron y produjeron el álbum que fue publicado en junio de 1997 en México. Ese mismo año fue lanzado en Estados Unidos en julio y posteriormente en varios países de Latinoamérica. Los diez temas presentan un estilo de música pop latina fusionada con ritmos bailables de otros estilos como salsa, cumbia, banda y balada. Indudablemente, el disco "Amor a la Mexicana" convirtió a Thalia en un sinónimo de Latinoamérica, recorriendo los cinco continentes en el idioma español y formando parte del denominado "Boom Latino" a nivel mundial a fines de la década de los 90's.

“Amor a la Mexicana” is a song performed by Thalia, published as the first single from the album of the same name. It was written by Mario Puparro and launched in 1997; the video clip was directed by Benny Corral.

Although this song is cataloged as pop, it contains many nuances typical of the Mexican region, since it includes in its musical mix mainly two rhythms, Mexican cumbia and ranchera music. The dress that Thalia uses in the videoclip, corresponds to a modernized attire, and mixed with other trends, of the original costumes typical of Mexico.

“Amor a la Mexicana” is the title of Thalia’s fifth studio album. It was her second production for EMI Music. Emilio Estefan Jr., Kike Santander and Pablo Flores wrote and produced the entire album that was published in June 1997 in Mexico. That same year, the album launched in the United States in July and later, in several Latin American countries. Its ten tracks present a style of Latin pop music fused with dance rhythms from other styles such as salsa, cumbia, banda and ballad. Undoubtedly, the album "Amor a la Mexicana" made Thalia a synonym of Latin America, traveling the five continents in the spanish language as part of the so-called worldwide “Latin Boom" at the end of the 90's.
