The popular dutch jazz duo Amsterdam Connection is comprised of two passionate, highly-talented, well-respected musicians: Tim Welvaars (jazz harmonica & piano) and sax player Naomi Adriaansz. Together they spread harmony and love creating their unique jazz sound: a skillful, progressive fusion of dark tenor sax and joyful harmonica. Their trade mark!

Amsterdam Connection offers a diverse repertoire, consisting of soulful smooth jazz, as well as groovy funk, happy jazz, danceable swing, ‘sultry’ bossa and swinging rock ‘n roll. Some with vocals, but mainly you can absorb the warmth of their unique instrumental sound.

In February 2017, they produced a beautiful tribute album, ‘Isn’t She Lovely‘, to legendary soul artist Stevie Wonder. The album features 10 Wonder classics, which were all given their own very soulful, smooth jazz treatment. The album was high on the Jazz Album Top 50 charts and its single ‘Creepin’, placed in the Smooth Jazz Top 100 for several months.
This breakout album, which was produced by multi-Grammy Award winning producer Paul Brown, featured some of the best American musicians in contemporary smooth jazz, including legendary bassist Nathan East and jazz fusion guitarist Marc Antoine.
The album gave Amsterdam Connection great exposure on the international smooth jazz scene, and generated high awareness with new audiences.
