LYRICS
You’ve opened a door
Do you think you’re crazy
If darkness implores
It’s asking you maybe
To watch for the eyes
They offer advice
One more trip
in my mind
would suffice
for me

(For me)

Can’t you see when you’re alone

Is when we come back
When we come back to sing
For you

Your head hits the floor
Your body is aching
It’s asking for more
Or maybe it’s hinting
To open your eyes
When light starts to shine
One more trip outside
should suffice
For me

(For me)

Can’t you see when you’re alone

Is when we come back
When we come back to sing
For you

Your body goes cold
And your heart is racing
It’s starting to know
The advice you’ve been taking
Has opened your mind
At the cost of your life
One more slit
of the wrist
should suffice
For me

(For me)

Can’t you see that you’re alone

We’ll never go back
We’ll never go back to sleep
For you

You’re not alone

(Not alone)

(Not alone)

Not now
You’ll never sleep again
Don’t tell me that you’re
getting cold feet
My friend

You’ve opened a door
Do you think you’re crazy
Can’t you see we’ve taken hold
We’ll never go back
We’ll never go back
To sleep
for you

(You’re not alone)

Can’t you see we’ve taken hold
We’ll never go back
We’ll never go back to sleep
For you

Shannon Sharpe At Queensbridge Projects, FaceTimes Nas, Kobe Bryant vs Gangsta, LeBron Declined $10M Hotney 10 Streams • 3 years ago

Steve Stoute and Shannon Sharpe embark on their journey to Queensbridge Projects in New York, unearthing tales that led to the legendary careers of Nas and Steve. The episode kicks off with a hilarious FaceTime call to Nas from the very projects that shaped he and Steve’s lives, sharing laughs and memories with the neighborhood crew. Steve then guides Shannon through a tour of his office, dropping gems about the time Men In Black sunglasses overshadowed Will Smith’s album and revealing the untold story of Kobe Bryant living with him at 18. The anecdotes keep rolling as Steve spills the beans on being behind LeBron infamously rejecting a $10 million check while in high school, Allen Iverson's elusive Reebok commercial appearance and the transformative impact of hip-hop on Reebok's brand image thanks to Jay-Z and 50 Cent. The episode delves deep into Steve's entrepreneurial journey, emphasizing equity, ownership, and the ethos behind starting United Masters. From the rich hip-hop history of Queens to the intricacies of legendary rap beefs, Steve Stoute shares his insights with wit, wisdom, and a touch of humor, making this first half a rollercoaster ride through the iconic tales of the music and sports industry. Steve Stoute and Shannon Sharpe continue on by diving into why artists like Taylor Swift should hold on to their masters rather than sell them for massive payouts. Steve recounts the hilarious story of Kanye West's unexpected freestyle at Steve’s wedding, which may have been a precursor to what happened at the 2009 VMAs. Shannon and Steve explore the business side of the NFL’s partnership with Apple and the Super Bowl Halftime Show, Steve's groundbreaking triumphs with AT&T and a hard-of-hearing football team, and break down the transformative power of a strategic rebrand. From discussing the significance of shared values in brand-influencer partnerships to unraveling the cultural tapestry of Giannis Antetokounmpo's film, the episode weaves together threads of music, sports, and business. Steve's Mount Rushmore of hip-hop, Shannon's heartfelt tribute to LL Cool J, and reflections on the rise of hip-hop as a global phenomenon add layers of depth to this entertaining and enlightening conversation. As Steve Stoute seamlessly transitions from the music industry to broader business landscapes, the episode serves as a masterclass in embracing evolution while keeping the essence of all things legendary intact. Don't miss out on the laughter, insights, and legendary tales shared in this Club Shay Shay rendezvous with the one and only Steve Stoute.

LYRICS

Lately
I've been going crazy
And I think it's because
Maybe I just think too much
But I just cannot
Make it stop

Dreamed that I was face down
Buried under mud
Screamed my fucking lungs out
Then I woke up from the dream
But couldn't shake it off
Never trusted myself
Too proud to demand help
Always on the run
Knowing I’ll never escape
Shut the lights down by myself on the tracks
Died a little more
With every panic attack

I always knew I'm not like all the normal kids
But the truth hits a little bit different
And it's hard to speak
When you're numbed by all your fears

Lately
I've been going crazy
And I think it's because
Maybe I just think too much
But I just cannot
Make it stop
I said lately
I've been going crazy
And I think it's cause
Maybe I just think too much
But I can't make my demons shut up

And if I die
Wouldn’t that make it easy?
Maybe I
Never deserved this ending
All these memories keep chasing me every day
Probably that is the reason why my soul is chained
And I can’t break free from this void that’s chasing me

Lately
I've been going crazy
And I think it's cause
Maybe I just think too much
But I just cannot
Make it stop
I said lately
I've been going crazy
And I think it's cause
Maybe I just think too much
But I can't make my demons shut up

Whoa whoa oh oh oh
I can’t make my demons shut up!
Whoa whoa oh oh oh
I can’t make my demons shut up!
