GRAMMY®, CMA and ACM award winning singer-songwriter Ashley McBryde “has arrived” (CBS Sunday Mornings). From back porches to biker bars across America’s Middle, to playing arenas, sheds, and stadiums around the world, the Arkansas native and Warner Music Nashville recording artist has dedicated her life to the craft of storytelling; “an artist with many things to say and a big enough voice to slice through the noise” (Rolling Stone).
The Grand Ole Opry member’s 2018 major label debut Girl Going Nowhere charmed The New York Times, NPR, Rolling Stone, Paste, The Washington Post and more, earning a GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album. Follow-up Never Will is one of the only albums ever nominated for Country Album of the Year by the ACM, CMA, and the Recording Academy in the same awards season. Her collaborative project, Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville, earned McBryde her third consecutive GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album, and opened up a parallel universe in homage to world-building song mastermind Dennis Linde that took the Nashville creative community by storm. Her latest, The Devil I Know, brought more critical acclaim, earning nods as one of the best country albums of the year from Rolling Stone, Billboard, Slate, PASTE, Holler and more.
In 2022, McBryde was honored with the CMA International Artist Achievement Award for the most significant creative growth, development and promotion of the country music industry outside of the U.S. This year, she was awarded an honorary doctorate in music from her alma mater, Arkansas State University, for her significant contributions to the field.
Hailed as “one of Nashville’s most reliable and sophisticated songwriters” (Los Angeles Times) Dr. McBryde released road-worn fan favorite “Rattlesnake Preacher” in June to rapturous reception. She opened her non-alcoholic forward concept, Redemption Bar, at home on the fifth floor of Eric Church’s Chief’s in Nashville last August, paired with her Redemption Residency at Chief’s Neon Steeple through mid-2026.

Jaguar Wright RESPONDS to Jay-Z Roots Picnic Freestyle & Diddy S3X Tape LEAKS+MORE Hotney 11 Bekeken • 5 maanden geleden

The crew opens this week breaking down one of the most talked-about moments in hip-hop right now — Jaguar Wright's response to Jay-Z name-dropping her during his freestyle at the Roots Picnic (0:00), setting the tone for a heavy episode. The guys dig into what Jay-Z actually said and why Jaguar is firing back (8:30), then break down the history between Jaguar and Jay-Z and why this beef has been simmering for years (17:00). The conversation shifts to the Roots Picnic itself and what that platform meant for Jay-Z to use it the way he did (26:00), before the crew pivots to the Diddy s3x tape leak and what's being said about it online (34:00). They also get into how the Diddy legal situation keeps evolving and what this tape means for his ongoing cases (42:00), then discuss the culture's reaction to both stories dropping at the same time (51:00). The guys weigh in on who wins this moment — Jaguar or Jay-Z (58:30) — and close out with final thoughts on where all of this is headed and what's next (1:05:00). Real talk, no filter, and much more.

Joe Budden On Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, Charlamagne tha God, Kai Cenat & Joe Rogan & the Future Hotney 11 Bekeken • 8 maanden geleden

Media titan, Grammy winner, unfiltered entertainer, and cultural disruptor Joe Budden sits down for a wide-ranging conversation about ownership, podcasting, and the evolving entertainment industry. Joe reflects on shaking up the internet after publicly revealing how much money he made, and explains why he chose free agency over traditional music and podcast platforms—ultimately betting on himself through Patreon.

He breaks down the difference between taking money upfront versus equity, why Patreon offered long-term value, and how podcasting has grown from an unconventional, often judged medium into a space now being explored by major players like Netflix. Joe speaks candidly about the saturation of the podcast market, the challenge of audience retention, and why he chose to build his own ad team with strong partnerships—despite ads being disruptive—because they fund everything.

Joe also opens up about turning down major money from Spotify, realizing he was underpaid by simply asking the right questions, and shares his perspective on the podcast strategies of Joe Rogan, Alex Cooper, the Kelce brothers, Steve Harvey, and Kevin Hart. Calling his current life “living the dream,” he warns that platforms like YouTube should be paying attention as Netflix and others compete for dominance.

The conversation touches on Joe’s experiences with Charlamagne tha God, the personality-driven nature of entertainment, his exit from “Everyday Struggle” on Complex, and his time on Love & Hip Hop. He discusses reconciling with Lil Yachty, critiquing artists after retiring from rap, public disagreements with Cardi B, and remaining passionate about being the best in his field.

Joe weighs in on Nicki Minaj, Erykah Badu, politics, and why artists “won’t be the last to take the check,” addresses the Doechii online controversy, and shares his views on streaming culture—including whether streamers like Kai Cenat are now bigger than rappers. He talks about his son wanting to attend “Streaming University,” their close bond, and the importance of mental health throughout his life.

The episode also explores generational differences in hip-hop, the glorification of jail and prison, his stance on moving away from “the streets,” personal growth, relationships, music taste, sobriety during the Percocet epidemic, weight loss drugs, AI’s role in the future, and advice he’d give his younger self. Joe closes by predicting that in the next 5–10 years, one major streaming company will disappear entirely.

Lyrics (English):
We'll be dancing in the fire of the living – hey ya oh
And a million sisters voices will be singing – hey ya oh
And we´ll giving all we have to be receiving – hey ya oh
Every word we share will count and be forgiving – hey ya oh

Hold on, hold on

Never give up on love
Never give up on us
Never give up on love, on us, on trust
Dance the hurt away
Dance it all away

I want to feel the kiss and fall into the mystery – hey ya oh
I want to fall with no regrets be who I wanna be – hey ya oh
A star child that will scream with pure tranquility – hey ya oh
Where we are running wild towards the sun and sing – hey ya oh

Mothers words of wisdom
As they crawl inside my system – saying – yeah, yes
As the ancients drums keep drumming
To the beat of our calling saying yeah
We are there

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Lyrics (tradução em português):
Estaremos dançando no fogo dos que vivem
E um milhão de vozes das minhas irmãs estarão cantando
E daremos tudo o que temos para receber
E cada palavra que compartilharmos contará e será de perdão

Aguente firme, aguente firme

Nunca desista do amor
Nunca desista de nós
Nunca desista do amor, de nós, da confiança
Dance para afastar a dor
Dance

Eu quero sentir o amor e cair no mistério
Eu quero cair sem arrependimentos, ser quem eu quero ser
Uma criança das estrelas que cantará com pura tranquilidade
Onde corremos soltos em direção ao sol e cantamos livres

Palavras de sabedoria de mãe
Enquanto elas andam dentro do meu sistema – dizendo – sim, sim
