Lyrics:
Oh, uh, funky
Heard about the party now,
Just east o' Harlem.
Dougie's gonna be there,
But you gotta, call him (call him)
Even the soldiers,
Need a break sometimes.
Listen to the groove y'all,
Let it unwind your mind
No intoxication,
Unless you see what I see.
Dancin' hot 'n' sweaty,
Right in front of me.
Call it what you like,
I'm gonna call it how it be,
This is just another one of God's gifts,
Musicology!
Got to keep that party movin',
Just like I told you.
Kick the old-school joints,
For the true funk soldiers.
Musicology!
Wish I had a dollar,
For every time you say,
"Don't you miss the feeling,
Music gave ya back in the day?"
Let's groove,
September,
Earth, Wind and Fire.
Hot Pants by James,
Sly's gonna take you higher.
Minor keys and drugs,
Don't make a rollerskate jam.
Take your pick, turntable, or a band?
If it ain't Chuck D,
Or Jam Master Jay,
Know what?
They're losin'.
Cause we got a PhD in
Advanced Body Movin'
Keep the party movin',
Just like I told you.
Kick the old-school joints,
For the true funk soldiers.
Musicology!
Hold it down, band.
"Get back! Oh, get back!
Don't you touch my stereo, these is MY records!"
"Don't touch, my records!"
Musicology, musicology!
Everybody get down!
Just like I told you.
Kick the high-school joints,
For the true funk soldiers.
Get goin'!
Keep the party movin',
Keep the party movin',
Uh, don't stop dancin'.
Keep the party movin'.
Keep the party movin',
Just like I told ya,
Kick the old-school joints,
For the true funk soldiers.
Musicology!
For the true funk soldiers

Lyrics:
Alas! and did my Savior bleed,
And did my Sovereign die?
Would He devote that sacred head
For sinners such as I?

At the Cross, at the Cross
Where I first saw the light
And the burdens of my heart rolled away,
It was there by faith I received my sight
And now I am happy all the day

Was it for crimes that I had done
He groaned upon the tree?
Amazing pity! Grace unknown!
And love beyond degree!

At the Cross, at the Cross
Where I first saw the light
And the burdens of my heart rolled away,
It was there by faith I received my sight
And now I am happy all the day

But drops of grief can ne’er repay
The debt of love I owe;
Here, Lord, I give myself away
’Tis all that I can do

At the Cross, at the Cross
Where I first saw the light
And the burdens of my heart rolled away,
It was there by faith I received my sight
And now I am happy all the day

At the Cross, at the Cross
Where I first saw the light
And the burdens of my heart rolled away,
It was there by faith I received my sight
And now I am happy all the day

LYRICS
I can't help feeling like I've read this book before
Same old story any way
Flooded memories of how I opened that door
I guess I'm easy to betray

Not cause it feels right
Not cause it's for today
I don't need just halfway

Done with the game now
No more turning away
Someone please

Just tell me something
Something that's true
I've wasted too much time
On just passing through
No more sad goodbye
No just for a few
I'm waiting for something
Something that's true

Cause that November was the last thing on my mind
I guess it's easier that way
Things seems in order then you realize you're blind
It falls apart then anyway

Not cause it feels right
Not cause it's for today
I don't need just halfway

Done with the game now
No more turning away
Someone please

Just tell me something
Something that's true
I've wasted too much time
On just passing through
No more sad goodbye
No just for a few
I'm waiting for something
Something that's true

It's so much easier to keep the good ones out
Than to risk the bad ones getting in

Just tell me something
Something that's true
I've wasted too much time
On just passing through
No more sad goodbye
No just for a few
I'm waiting for something
Something that's true

Just tell me something

No more sad goodbye

Just tell me something
Something that's true

LETRA:

Yo no sé de poesía
Ni de filosofía
Solo sé que tu vida
Yo la quiero en la mía

Yo no sé
Cómo hacer pa no tenerte
Las ganas que te tengo
Cómo hacer pa no quererte
Yeh-eh

Tutu
Nadie como Tutu
No hay un sustitutu
Pa ese cuerpo tuyo que a mí ya me tiene cucu
En un rato te buscu
Voy y te acurrucu
Yeh-eh

Cómo hacer pa no quererte...
Yeh-eh

Tutu

Check out this incredible Bob Fosse choreography from Sweet Charity!

What is Sweet Charity (1969) about?

Shirley MacLaine gives one of her greatest performances in this spectacular musical based on Neil Simon’s smash Broadway hit. Director Bob Fosse broke new cinematic ground with this freewheeling, visually stunning story of a lovelorn New York dance hall hostess, Charity Hope Valentine, who dreams of old-fashioned romance but gives her heart to one undeserving man after another.

The Authority On All Things R&B !
On this week's episode of The R&B Money Podcast, Tank and J Valentine chop it up with visionary writer, producer, and engineer Donnie Scantz, one of the musical masterminds behind Aaliyah's "I Don't Wanna" and Ludacris's "Pimpin All Over the World." We get the origin story of Scantz straight from Houston, as the prodigy recounts hustling his way through school cranking out beats, chasing glory days in 1990s Atlanta, and maneuvering his come-up among the Noontime elite. From sleeping 5-to-1 in pursuit of his Aaliyah dream to serendipitously encountering Keri Hilson earlier in her career, Scantz releases crazy tales of risking it all in a state of emergency. Barely missing a credit on Usher's smash "Yeah" while paying life-changing dues that prepared him to later mentor so many in this game. This rare ride rivals movies in the uncensored chronicle of R&B history you simply need to experience. Donnie Scantz is now on The R&B Money Podcast!

Lyrics:
Waiting for May to come
Hoping for the rain
A memory held too long
Just another day

Oh what it could be
Oh what a dream to me

Memory burned and gone
A multicolored grey
Waiting for May to come
Happy for the rain
