*ABOUT LUCK AND STRANGE*
‘Luck and Strange’ was recorded over five months in Brighton and London and is Gilmour’s first album of new material in nine years. The record was produced by David and Charlie Andrew, best known for his work with ALT-J and Marika Hackman. Of this new working relationship, David says, “We invited Charlie to the house, so he came and listened to some demos, and said things like, “Well, why does there have to be a guitar solo there?” and “Do they all fade out? Can’t some of them just end?”. He has a wonderful lack of knowledge or respect for this past of mine. He’s very direct and not in any way overawed, and I love that. That is just so good for me because the last thing you want is people just deferring to you.”

The majority of the album’s lyrics have been composed by Polly Samson, Gilmour’s co-writer and collaborator for the past thirty years. Samson says of the lyrical themes covered on ‘Luck and Strange’, “It’s written from the point of view of being older; mortality is the constant.” Gilmour elaborates, “We spent a load of time during and after lockdown talking about and thinking about those kind of things.” Polly has also found the experience of working with Charlie Andrew liberating, “He wants to know what the songs are about, he wants everyone who’s playing on them to have the ideas that are in the lyric informing their playing. I have particularly loved it for that reason.”

The album features eight new tracks along with a beautiful reworking of The Montgolfier Brothers’ ‘Between Two Points’ and has artwork and photography by the renowned artist Anton Corbijn.

Musicians contributing to the record include Guy Pratt & Tom Herbert on bass, Adam Betts, Steve Gadd and Steve DiStanislao on drums, Rob Gentry & Roger Eno on keyboards with string and choral arrangements by Will Gardner. The title track also features the late Pink Floyd keyboard player Richard Wright, recorded in 2007 at a jam in a barn at David’s house.

Some contributions emerged from the live streams that Gilmour and family performed to a global audience during the lockdowns of 2020 and 2021; Romany Gilmour sings, plays the harp and appears on lead vocals on ‘Between Two Points’. Gabriel Gilmour also sings backing vocals.

The album’s cover image, photographed and designed by Anton Corbijn, is inspired by a lyric written by Charlie Gilmour for the album’s final song ‘Scattered’. Of working with his family on ‘Luck and Strange’, David says, “Polly and I have been writing together for over thirty years and the Von Trapped live streams showed the great blend of Romany’s voice and harp-playing and that led us into a feeling of discarding some of the past that I’d felt bound to and that I could throw those rules out and do whatever I felt like doing, and that has been such a joy.”

*ABOUT DAVID GILMOUR*
David Gilmour CBE hit No. 1 in the UK with his 2006 solo album On An Island. Following Pink Floyd’s final album, 2014’s The Endless River, (No. 1 in 21 countries), David’s latest studio album, Rattle That Lock, and 2017's release of Live At Pompeii are out now. Buy via http://www.davidgilmour.com

A Cambridge friend of Syd Barrett, David joined Syd, with Roger Waters, Richard Wright, and Nick Mason, in Pink Floyd in early 1968, only for Syd to leave the group five gigs later. Pink Floyd's subsequent huge worldwide success continued after Roger Waters' departure in 1985, with the albums A Momentary Lapse Of Reason and The Division Bell both charting at No. 1 in the UK and the US, and sell-out world tours. Rattle That Lock released in 2015 and David’s 4th solo album, went to No. 1 in 13 countries. In 2017, Live at Pompeii released as a live album and film which was recorded at the Amphitheatre of Pompeii.

If you're in old habits
Set in your old ways
Changes are a-comin'
For these are changing days
And if your head is in the sand
While things are goin' on
What you need, what you need,
What you need is a change of habit
Now if you're in the habit
To let your temper fly
When you talk with people
Who don't see eye to eye
And if you don't believe it
There's a newer world ahead
What you need, what you need,
What you need is a change of habit
A change of habit, a change of outlook
A change of heart, you'll be all right
The halls of darkness
Have doors that open
It's never too late
To see the light
So if you're in the habit
Of putting people down
Just because they're different
From the wrong side of town
Well, don't count on any medals son
They're pinning none on you
What you need, what you need,
What you need is a change of habit

Lyrics:
Let’s make tonight the weekend
I don’t wanna wait - I don’t wanna wait - I don’t wanna wait
Got no reason not to celebrate
Baby I just don’t wanna wait

Swimming in the deep blue
Got me thinking bout you
I’m just tryna dive right in
Wanna spend tonight like
The last night of our lives
Chasing all the love we can

And now oh I’m in a sea of lights
And all that I can see is you
And now I’m dying to feel alive
So baby let’s try something new

Let’s make tonight the weekend
I don’t wanna wait - I don’t wanna wait - I don’t wanna wait
Got no reason not to celebrate
Baby I just don’t wanna wait

I been chasing so long
Every right that feels wrong
Rather be with you instead
There’s something bout it right here
Got me seeing so clear
Rainbow colored skies ahead

365 Lyrics:
Waking up next to you in the middle of the week
Never needed anyone to send me off to sleep
And I know I said go slow
But I can’t hold back no more
Got a premonition this ain’t going to be a fling
You make a weekend feel like a year
Baby you got me changing
24/7 I want you here
I hope you feel the same thing
I want you to be the one that’s on my mind, on my mind, on my mind
I want you to be there on a Monday night, Tuesday night, every night
Are you going to be the one that’s on my mind 365, all the time
I want you to be the one to stay and give me the night and day
Love it when you come back and can’t take it when you leave
Got me fantasizing our initials already
And I want to just let go, falling deeper than before
Say that you already lock it up in a heartbeat
I want you to be the one that’s on my mind, on my mind, on my mind
I want you to be there on a Monday night, Tuesday Night, every night
Are you going to be the one that’s on my mind 365, all the time
I want you to be the one to stay and give me the night and day
I think about you all the time
24/7 365
I think about you all the time
24/7 365
(I want you to be the one)
I want you to be the one that’s on my mind, on my mind, on my mind
I want you to be there on a Monday night, Tuesday Night, every night
Are you going to be the one that’s on my mind 365, all the time
I want you to be the one to stay and give me the night and day
I think about you all the time
24/7 365
I think about you all the time

I will walk right on the line
I will make it just in time
I don’t want to play any more games
You’ve bested me in the worst way

Tell me where you want me
Tell me how I feel
Tell me what to do next
You can count on me
Just tell me I’m fine
And that everything will be alright

Tell me, do I want this?
Tell me if I feel
Tell me, tell me, tell me
Can I count on you?
Just tell me the truth
and everything will be alright

Life could have split us apart
But you kept on holding on so tight
I didn't even notice you for years
Along for the ride you’ve always been

Tell me where you want me
Tell me how I feel
Tell me what to do next
You can count on me
Just tell me I’m fine
And that everything will be alright

Tell me, do I want this?
Tell me if I feel
Tell me, tell me, tell me
Can I count on you?
And everything will be alright
And these chemicals are helping us
I understand now; please stay

I’ll keep walking down the line
I will make it just in time

Lyrics

It can’t be said I’m an early bird
It’s ten o’clock before I say a word
Baby, I can never tell
How do you sleep so well
You keep telling me to live right
To go to bed before daylight
But then you wake up for the sunrise
You know you don’t gotta pretend
Baby, now and then

Don’t you just wanna wake up
Dark as a lake
Smelling like a bonfire
Lost in a haze
If you’re drunk on life, babe
I think it’s great
But while in this world

I think I’ll take my whiskey neat
My coffee black and my bed at three
You’re too sweet for me
You’re too sweet for me
I take my whiskey neat
My coffee black and my bed at three
You’re too sweet for me
You’re too sweet for me

I aim low
I aim true and the ground is where I go
I work late where I’m free from the phone
And the job gets done
But you worry some, I know
But who wants to live forever babe
You treat your mouth as if it’s heaven’s gate
The rest of you like you’re the TSA
I wish that I could go along
Babe, don’t get me wrong

You know you’re bright as the morning
As soft as the rain
Pretty as a vine
As sweet as a grape
If you can sit in a barrel
Maybe I’ll wait
Until that day

I’d rather take my whiskey neat
My coffee black and my bed at three
You’re too sweet for me
You’re too sweet for me
I take my whiskey neat
My coffee black and my bed at three
You’re too sweet for me
You’re too sweet for me

I take my whiskey neat
My coffee black and my bed at three
You’re too sweet for me
You’re too sweet for me

Holy Ground
By Sarah Hart and Francesca LaRosa (based on Psalm 128)

Blessed are you who fear the Lord,
who walk humbly in God's ways.
You shall be a fruitful vine
and a blessing all your days.

Blessed are you who seek the Lord,
who have called upon God's Name.
You will be a house of peace
and a blessing all your days.

How beautiful the love of God,
you've come to build your life upon.
May your refuge be His heart,
and your dwelling holy ground.

May your table be a place,
where your children grow in faith.
Every prayer a stone you lay;
your foundation all your days.

How beautiful the love of God,
You've come to build your life upon.
May your refuge be His heart,
and your dwelling holy ground.

How beautiful the love of God,
You've come to build your life upon.
May your refuge be His heart,
and your dwelling holy ground.

Blessed are you who fear the Lord,
who walk humbly in God's ways.
Yours shall be a fruitful life
and a blessing all your days
and your dwelling holy ground.

“Positive anything is better than negative nothing.”
- Elbert Hubbard

We hope our music can spare you some head rooms to stay positive in your life.
Relieve any negative thoughts and just relax to stay creative!
From now on, your life will only be filled up with your emotion.

Sound of breeze, chirping, sea waves, leaf never invade our life. But, exists.

Our goal is to fill up the chilly air by the warmth of our music.
With the melodies that deeply travel to your memories.

We will be the background music of those scenes where you are the main character.

👁‍🗨️ Lyrics :

Main janu teri cheli tu jaane meri
Beriya ne chaaldya na aawein se andheri
Ghoor se batheri maahri door te batheri
Maikha jana koni padya kare paas
Maikha saala konsi ka bolya badmash
Maikha saala konsi ka bolya badmash
Khopdi mein gaal dya ge gund kapatas

Mari saanp sidhi bani saaf sidhi zindgani
Koni mantri na santri ka chalta dhithora
Ade balka pe halta na kalka chhora
Kati kati different tere yaar ka se aura
Taura beriya ne aata koni raas
Maikha saala konsi ka bolya badmash
Maikha saala konsi ka bolya badmash
Khopdi mein gaal dya ge gund kapatas
Maikha saala konsi ka bolya badmash
Maikha saala konsi ka bolya badmash
Maikha saala konsi ka bolya badmash
Bair moda 25 ke kar ke 50
Maikha saala konsi ka bolya badmash

Maikha tere charche gulabi kade kaale suit ke
Yaar daily ke passenger se death route ke
Hogi aankh bhi green meri zehar ghoont ke
Kade tuut ke pade the aaj pda tuut ke ne
Koye nede tede bhi na mahre aaj ke bakhat
Maikha tohndi fire tod tere yaar ki likhat
Ruka tabti na jabti se satla mein satt
Dekho kabtai cha legi nue saans
Maikha saala konsi ka bolya badmash
Maikha saala konsi ka bolya badmash
Khopdi mein gaal dya ge gund kapatas
Maikha saala konsi ka bolya badmash

Maikha naam ki to baat ki nishan bhi mitadyu
Time aan de tu soda ke se rp dikhadyu
Kaache kaat beriya ke aande koni kaabu
Kyuki yara pe na chaalde bangal aale jaadu
Maikha raato raat kardiya flip sara khel
Chhore chadte chadte ki kaat jaana bail
Mera kai kilometra mein soch ka scale
Kra seconda mein matter khallas
Maikha saala konsi ka bolya badmash
Maikha saala konsi ka bolya badmash
Khopdi mein gaal dya ge gund kapatas
Maikha saala konsi ka bolya badmash
Maikha saala konsi ka bolya badmash
Maikha saala konsi ka bolya badmash
Bair moda 25 ke kar ke 50
Maikha saala konsi ka bolya badmash
