Girl Ray release new single, “Love Is Enough”, the fourth early look at their upcoming third album Prestige, out on 4 August 2023 via Moshi Moshi: http://lnk.to/loveisenough

The grooving new alt-pop track, “Love Is Enough”, arrives with another charming Alex Cantouris-directed music video that sees the band suit up alongside their instruments, channelling a funky disco bassline and an alluringly danceable melody in front of the city backdrop. Speaking about the accompanying video, Sophie from the band said: “The concept for the video first came from wanting to look like city finance bros. The kind of people that tear through six Elfbar vapes in a day and passive-aggressively tell our assistants over the phone to make sure the cappuccino was hot by the time it got to our desks next time. We got up at 3am and went to the iconic spot right by the entrance of the Blackwall tunnel to get a view of the skyline. As the shoot went on, we thought maybe we looked like budget spies or the Blues Brothers. By 6am a guy in a small vest who looked like he’d been out all night asked if we were in an orchestra.”

Alex, the director, said: “We decided to take a more earnest approach with this video, due to the song’s subject matter. Poppy found an amazing location, and riffing off the idea that the band might actually be going to work in the city, Iris came up with the great idea to wear business attire. The costume element is of course tongue in cheek, which got us thinking we could have some fun with the intro to balance out the rest of the video’s feel. We filmed at 4am, and the monochrome qualities of the light combined with the black and white suits, and Canary Wharf as the backdrop, really gelled well together to get the look of sincerity we were aiming to achieve.”

“Mi Querido, Mi Viejo, Mi Amigo” lyrics:

Esos tus cabellos blancos, bonitos
Ese hablar cansado, profundo
Que me lee todo lo escrito
Y me enseña tanto del mundo

Esos pasos lentos de ahora
Caminando siempre conmigo
Ya corrieron tanto en la vida
Mi querido, mi viejo, mi amigo

Esa vida llena de historias
Y de arrugas marcadas por el tiempo
Recuerdos de antiguas victorias
Son lágrimas lloradas al viento

Tu voz dulce y serena me calma
Y me ofrece refugio, y abrigo
Va calando dentro de mi alma
Mi querido, mi viejo, mi amigo

Tu pasado vive, presente
En las experiencias sentidas
En tu corazón consciente
De las cosas bellas de la vida

Tu sonrisa franca me anima
Tu consejo sabio me guía
Abro el corazón y te digo
Mi querido, mi viejo, mi amigo

Yo
He dicho casi todo
Y casi todo es poco
Frente a lo que yo siento

Mirando tus cabellos tan bonitos
Abro el corazón y digo
Mi querido, mi viejo, mi amigo

Mirando tus cabellos tan bonitos
Abro el corazón y digo
Mi querido, mi viejo, mi amigo

Mirando tus cabellos tan bonitos
Abro el corazón y digo
Mi querido, mi viejo, mi amigo

Mirando tus cabellos tan bonitos
Abro el corazón y digo
Mi querido, mi viejo, mi amigo

Lyrics

Boy, when I left you you were young
I was gone, but not my love
You were clearly meant for more
Than a life lost in the war

I want you to be happy
Free to run, get dizzy on caffeine
Funny friends that make you laugh
And maybe you're just a little bit dappy

Fly
Feel your mother right at your side
Don't you know you got my eyes
I'll make you fly
You'll be happy all the time
I know you can make it right

Boy, now your life is back-to-front
But you'll see that's not for long
'Cause I know you'll feel the ghost
Of some memories so warm

Boy, I want you to be happy
Free to run, get dizzy on caffeine
Funny friends that make you laugh
And maybe you're just a little bit dappy

Fly
Feel your mother right at your side
Don't you know you got my eyes
I'll make you fly
You'll be happy all the time
I know you can make it right

Boy, I want you to be happy
Free to run, get dizzy on caffeine
Funny friends that make you laugh
And maybe you're just a little bit dappy

Fly
Feel your mother right at your side
Don't you know you got my eyes
I'll make you fly
You'll be happy all the time
I know you can make it right
I'll make you...

Boy, I want you to be happy
Free to run, get dizzy on caffeine
Funny friends that make you laugh
And maybe you're just a little bit...

Lyrics

As cold as an old ice cream sandwich, as focused as Mr. Miyagi
You poke at your phone posting aerial photos of you and your smoothie
I can't keep on making you happy 'cause you got issues with your daddy
I miss ramen noodles and laughing at you and your gran in home movies

But I wish I could show you more of yourself
I wish I could make you somebody else
But I left it way too late
Are you stuck in your own ways?
(I'm begging)

Hands, knees, please, tangerine, come on back to me
You got what I need, tangerine, do this for me
Hands, knees, please, tangerine, sugar, honey, sweet
Got what I need, tangerine

You let the devil in, and all you talk is money, money, money, money, money
It's so funny how it changes how you feel
How you see, how you need, how you sleep
All your freedom, caffeine, how you're looking at me
But I love it when the light sits on you just right
Tiny tangerine speckles painted in your eyes

Hands, knees, please, tangerine, come on back to me
You got what I need, tangerine, do this for me
Hands, knees, please, tangerine, sugar, honey, sweet
Got what I need, tangerine

You've been dreamlessly sleepin' for years
Super clear since the late 1990s
You only look at me properly now
When you're drunk watching movies
Where are you? What happened? I want what we had
Where you gone? Where you hidin'?
It's 2:23, you got Friends on repeat, on repeat, on repeat, on repeat, on repeat, on re—

I wish I could show you more of yourself
I wish I could make you somebody else
But I left it way too late
Are you stuck in your own ways? (I'm begging)

Hands, knees, please, tangerine, come on back to me
Got what I need, tangerine, do this for me
Hands, knees, please, tangerine, sugar, honey, sweet
Got what I need, tangerine
Hands, knees, please, tangerine, come on back to me

Tangerine

(I'm beggin') Hands, knees, please, tangerine, come on back to me
You got what I need, tangerine, do this for me
Hands, knees, please, tangerine, sugar, honey, sweet
Got what I need, tangerine (Woah)

LYRICS:
Huh, what you doing? Where you been?
Where you going? You with your friends?
I don't like 'em, I'm just saying
They ain't right and I can see it
Nan' one of 'em got a man, nan' one of 'em got a plan
Nan' one of 'em fuckin' with you, nan' one of 'em drive a Benz
Every one of them tried to fuck me, but I can't let you be embarrassed
Why the hell you at the club with them when we could be in Paris?
Why the hell you go outside? I’m tryna fuck, girl, start a family
You can be with me while I'm locked in here tryna make this Grammy

[Verse]
Oh yeah, baby, I'm the man, you know that
Them bitches with you nan', you know that
Come be with your man, don't go back

Hoes, they come in pairs and shit
Them hoes some embarrassments
It's supercharged Grand Cherokee
That nigga drive a Nissan, come and get you, I embarrassed him
I've been in the lab tryna get us in, don't ask me where I've been
They ain't ready for this life we live, girl, I can't let 'em in
Girl, you match my fly, the same designer you got letterman
I let you go with them every time, but baby, never 'gain
I can open you up restaurants, Jamaican, Mexican
I don't need you hangin' out with bitches that you better than

Lyrics:
My mother said I’m too romantic
She said ‘You’re dancing in the movies’
I only started to believe her
Then I saw you and I knew
Maybe it’s ‘cause I got a little bit older
Maybe it’s all that I’ve been through
I’d like to think it’s how you lean on my shoulder
And how I see myself with you
I don’t say a word
But still you take my breath and steal the things I know
There you go
Saving me from out of the cold
Fire on fire
Would normally kill us
But this much desire
Together we’re winners
They say that we’re out of control
And some say we’re sinners
But don’t let them ruin
Our beautiful rhythms
‘Cause when you unfold me
And tell me you love me
And look in my eye
You are perfection
My only direction
It’s fire on fire
It’s fire on fire
When we fight, we fight like lions
But then we love and feel the truth
We lose our minds in a city of roses
We won’t abide by any rules
I don’t say a word
But still you take my breath and steal the things I know
There you go
Saving me from out of the cold
Fire on fire
Would normally kill us
But this much desire
Together we’re winners
They say that we’re out of control
And some say we’re sinners
But don’t let them ruin
Our beautiful rhythms
‘Cause when you unfold me
And tell me you love me
And look in my eye
You are perfection
My only direction
It’s fire on fire
Oh
It’s fire on fire
Fire on fire
Would normally kill us
But this much desire
Together we’re winners
They say that we’re out of control
And some say we’re sinners
But don’t let them ruin
Our beautiful rhythms
Fire on fire
Would normally kill us

Lyrics:

Who's to know if your soul will fade at all
The one you sold to fool the world
You lost your self-esteem along the way
Yeah

Good god you're coming up with reasons
Good god you're dragging it out
Good god it's the changing of the seasons
I feel so raped
So follow me down
And just fake it if you're out of direction
Fake it if you don't belong here
Fake it if you feel like affection
Woah you're such a fucking hypocrite

And you should know that the lies won't hide your flaws
No sense in hiding all of yours
You gave up on your dreams along the way
Yeah

Good god you're coming up with reasons
Good god you're dragging it out
Good god it's the changing of the seasons
I feel so raped
So follow me down
And just fake it if you're out of direction
Fake it if you don't belong here
Fake it if you feel like affection
Woah you're such a fucking hypocrite

Whoah
Whoah

I can fake with the best of anyone
I can fake with the best of 'em all
I can fake with the best of anyone
I can fake it all

Who's to know if your soul will fade at all
The one you sold to fool the world
You lost your self-esteem along the way
Yeah

Good god you're coming up with reasons
Good god you're dragging it out
Good god it's the changing of the seasons
I feel so raped
Man, follow me down
And just fake it if you're out of direction
Fake it if you don't belong here
Fake it if you feel like affection
Woah you're such a fucking hypocrite

Fake it if you're out of direction
Fake it if you don't belong here
Fake it if you feel like affection
Woah you're such a fucking hypocrite

Lyrics:
Ah, icky thump
Who'da thunk?
Sitting drunk on a wagon to Mexico
Ahh well
What a chump
Well my head got a bump
When I hit it on the radio
Redhead señorita
Looking dead
Came and said
Need a bed
In Español
I said
Gimme a drink of water
I'm gonna sing around the collar
And I don't need a microphone

Icky Thump
With a lump in my throat
Grabbed my coat
And I was freaking
I was ready to go!
And I swear
Besides the hair
She had one white eye
One blank stare
Looking up
Lying there
On the stand
Near her hand
Was a candy cane
Black rum, sugar cane
Dry ice and something strange
La la la la la la la
La la la la la la la

White Americans, what
Nothing better to do
Why don't you kick yourself out
You're an immigrant too
Who's using who
What should we do?
Well, you can't be a pimp
And a prostitute too
Icky thump
Handcuffed to a bunk
Robbed blind
Looked around
And there was nobody else
Left alone
I hit myself with a stone
Went home and learned how
To clean up after myself

Lyrics:
I am having the time of my life
And I wish that you were still right here.
I wish you came along.
You, why did you leave me so soon?
Before all the flowers could bloom?
I wish you came along.
And now that every day is a party,
Every night's a nightmare,
Wishing you came along.
Yes, I’m having the time of my life
But something about it feels so off.
I wish you came along.
If, if this is as good as it gets
Then why is my head such a mess, dear?
Oh, why is it all so wrong?
Cause now, that every day’s a party,
Every night's a nightmare.
I can’t let go in my head
Without wishing you came along.
I am having the time of my life
And I wish that you were still right here,
I wish you came along.
And I’ll be standing here like a stone,
Waves are crashing down years of passion.
How can the world keep moving on?
I will never let myself move on.
This isn’t real life; this isn’t over.
This isn’t real life; this isn’t over, dear.
It can’t be over, dear.

Official Audio for "On The Road Again” by Willie Nelson

Willie Nelson plays a vital role in post-rock & roll country music. Texas-born Nelson is an icon of the ’70s outlaw-country movement, favoring a stripped-down style that could both evoke desert-highway vistas (“On the Road Again”) and initiate the most intimate of conversations (“Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain”). He has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the genre, whether that was Merle Haggard or Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash & Kris Kristofferson in The Highwaymen and written some of Country Music’s most popular songs including ‘Crazy’ made famous by Patsy Cline. In the 21st century, Nelson’s outlaw ethos has continued to manifest itself in all sorts of surprising ways: He’s become America’s most visible pro-marijuana activist and Snoop Dogg’s unlikeliest duet partner.

Lyrics:

[Intro]
D-Note is on the beat
It's The Beatllionare

[Pre-Estribillo: Alex Rose]
Shorty, yo sé que quieres
Hace tiempo lo sé
Enviando fotitos para calentarme
Pensando que yo nunca vo'a llegarle
Y ahora que me tienes de frente
Dime ¿qué piensas hacer?
Si quieres bellaqueamos pero antes...

[Estribillo: Alex Rose]
Baby, déjame tocarte
Quiero confesarte

[Verso 1: Alex Rose]

¿Te acuerdas? bellaqueamos escuchando a Arca y De La

[Outro: Alex Rose & Lyanno]
Yeah, Alex Rose
Alex Rose
Yeah, JX El Ingeniero
Yo siempre ando con los Oidos Fresh, bebé
D-Note "The Beatllionare"
Dime Ly (Ly-Ly-Ly)
Lyanno
Yeah
Oidos Fresh

Yeah Sexflix
