In this bonus episode of Perspektives with Bank, Big Bank reunites with Atlanta rap veteran Alley Boy for an unfiltered conversation about grief, mental health, and the emotional weight of navigating life after losing close friends. Alley Boy opens up about how personal loss, financial struggles, and changing priorities have reshaped both life and music, reflecting on the passing of influential figures in his circle and how those experiences challenged his motivation while ultimately strengthening his sense of purpose. The conversation also traces his journey from Atlanta's West Side to Edgewood, his early rise in music, and the lessons learned from balancing street life with artistic ambition.

The discussion dives into the rise of Duct Tape Entertainment, the blueprint behind its grassroots success, and why Alley Boy believes the movement never reached its full commercial potential. Big Bank and Alley Boy examine the impact of major label deals, business inexperience, trust issues, and industry politics, while reflecting on the value of ownership, independence, and creative authenticity. From anxiety and personal growth to the realities of surviving the music industry, this episode delivers an honest conversation about legacy, resilience, and turning life's hardest moments into timeless music.

And she look bad, so I bag from the rip like

[Verse 2: Sybree & Lay Bankz]
Oh, he want the smoke? Okay (Yeah)

We gettin' lit, we got fans out Atlanta (Out the A)
Naw, we got fans out Atlanta

[Chorus: Will]
Come on, hit it one time
Ayy, Bree, she callin' my line
Ayy, Lay, you is my slime
Come on, we get caught for a dime

[Verse 3: Lay Bankz]
Chasin' the bag and you chasin' a Rollie
Keep your distance, you **** don't know me
You cuffin' on thotties, she **** with my homie
Did the dash in a new store Johnny
I want a jet black matte Bugatti
I don't really jank, got smoke, that's problem
Met a white girl, think her name was Molly
Get left or get right, put you **** behind me
This for my dodie, uh
None of you **** know me, uh
He want a brand new homie
'Cause all of my homies smoked him
Pop your ****, twin
Chasin' a bag, talkin' big ****

Come around me, keep your distance, yeah

[Interlude: Lay Bankz & Sybree]
This for my dodie (This for my)
None of you **** know me, uh

Fah-fah-fah, slide
Don't run, lil' boy, you can't hide
Oh my God, **** with us, you gon' die
It's that time, got an XD and a Glock 45, uh
[Outro: Lay Bankz & Sybree]
This for my dodie (This for my)
None of you **** know me, uh
He want a brand new homie (This for my)
'Cause all of my homies smoked him, uh
This for my

BAJO EL AGUA

Quiero volar contigo muy alto en algún lugar
Quisiera estar contigo viendo las estrellas sobre el mar
Quiero encontrar otro camino
Ponerme mi vestido y salir a caminar contigo
Quiero decirle al mundo que no somos amigos
Decirle a la tristeza que no se cruce en mi camino

Quiero volar contigo muy alto en algún lugar
Quisiera estar contigo viendo las estrellas sobre el mar
Quiero encontrar otro camino
Ponerme mi vestido y salir a caminar contigo

Quiero encontrar otro camino
Ponerme mi vestido y salir a caminar contigo

Nyce Da Future - Difference (New Official Music Video) (Prod. Havoc Of Mobb Deep) (Dir. Geohvision)

Nyce Da Future and Havoc have worked together for so long that it's no surprise that the two linked up for a song on Nyce's new album, "The Warm Up, Vol. 2."

Aside from the late, great Prodigy, the bond formed between Havoc and Nyce during their many Mobb Deep collaborations over the years is unbreakable.

These visuals for "Difference" were shot Bronx, New York director Geohvision.

Today AD is welcomed by John Legend and Chrissy Teigen to tour their loving family home in Beverly Hills. The superstar couple are no strangers to moving house as the chapters of their lives change, this time around wanting a magical space for their kids to grow up. John and Chrissy enlisted AD100 designer, Jake Arnold, working in tandem as he paired his signature earthy palette with their desire for bright pops of color. Together they designed an open space full of warmth with no shortage of spots for family time during their latest stage of life. “Every house we’ve ever had reflects the moment we were in in our lives, like chapters in a book,” Teigen avers. “We were attracted to this place because of its lightness and airiness. We love how open it feels, and how it’s so connected to the outdoors. We wanted to create something magical, especially for the kids,”

“I AM” is my response to Ava DuVernay’s film ORIGIN. It is about the reclamation, reconciliation and reconnection to our identity, our language and the origins of who we are and where we come from. By knowing who we are, we are then able to know where we are going. This is how we unlock our greatest power. I AM is taking back the power and giving it back to the people.

Ko tōku reo tōku ohooho, ko tōku reo toku māpihi maurea.
My language is my awakening, my language is the window to my soul.

David Burd, better known as "Lil Dicky", returns to making music with his first album in eight years. His album 'Penith' is where vulnerability and authenticity blend magically with music, to be enjoyed as a soundtrack to his hit show, DAVE, or as a standalone body of work.

In an in-depth conversation with Zane Lowe, Lil Dicky shares behind-the-scenes stories from his show DAVE, including his experience working with childhood heroes turned guest stars like Rachel McAdams, Rick Ross, and Brad Pitt. Lil Dicky also shares his experience playing basketball with Kanye and seeing Usher at his first-ever concert.

Elle Mannion | February 5, 2024
I didn't fact check this, but I'm pretty sure this is the first Tiny Desk concert that mentions Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Between performing her lush indie-rock songs, Katie Von Schleicher mentions that she made a Dwayne Johnson zine for her latest record: "I'd like him to be my best friend, if you know him..." she says. There's a wry charm to Von Schleicher's exquisite songwriting, often underscoring its sincerity but never cheapening its quality.

Along with her mighty eight-piece band, Von Schleicher opens the set with "Montagnard People," which is also the opening track on her 2023 album A Little Touch of Schleicher in the Night (yes, that's a nod to Harry Nilsson's A Little Touch of Schmilsson in the Night). "Honestly, my tight five needs work / To get past hurts, I'm alive," she sings over swinging strings and saxophones, "Watching movies at night / only Dwayne Johnson helps me take that ride."

She and the band pack the biggest punch on the upbeat "Caged Sleep" before grooving through "Cranked." For the final song, "Texas," Von Schleicher takes to the piano; she starts slowly, then the sounds of the band swell to a cinematic crescendo — perhaps one that could soundtrack the next best Dwayne Johnson movie.

Lyrics:
Why are You so good to me
Why are You so good to me
You must see a treasure hidden underneath
Why are You so good to me

This is more than I deserve
This is more than I deserve
Overwhelming grace I could never earn
This is more than I deserve

In the morning
I will sing of how You love me
In the evening
I will bless Your name
It’s amazing
When I think of the way You saved me
Every breath I breathe is for Your praise oh

I love how You loved me first
Oh I love how You loved me first
You called me from the grave
And pulled me from the dirt
I love how You loved me first
You called me from the grave
And pulled me from the dirt
I love how You loved me first

Oh how great the love of the Father
Oh how great the gift of the Son
Oh how great the power of Jesus
What a Savior
What a Savior

I was lost in sin and You found me
Hallelujah You saved my soul
I was dead and gone and You raised me
What a miracle
What a miracle

lyrics:

all my friends share their problems
whilst i sit there just nodding
i can even try to emphasise
talk about how it’s tough to get past that honeymoon,
and i’ve been there but not this time

right now i’m doing just fine
and don’t hate me if i tell you why

cause i met someone
and i’ve fallen in love
in their arms it’s calms seas
and blues skies oh lord

sure it’s been a little hard
making room in my heart
but it’s been the best thing
that i’ve ever done
If you’re fucked around by fate
i just can’t relate
cause i met someone

may seem a little smug
but i’ve been hurt and then some
had my fair share of bullshit growing up
the constant rejections
too many to mention
been the ugly duckling for long enough

right now i’m doing just fine
and don’t hate me if i tell you why

cause i met someone
and i’ve fallen in love
in their arms it’s calms seas
and blues skies oh lord

sure it’s been a little hard
making room in my heart
but it’s been the best thing
that i’ve ever done
if you’re fucked around by fate
i just can’t relate
cause I met someone

if you’re fucked around by fate
i just can’t relate
cause I met someone
