Lyrics:

2AM I’M STILL AWAKE
FIGHTING FOR MY LIFE
EVERY NIGHT AND EVERY SINGLE DAY
EATS ME ALIVE

THEY COME AND GO BUT I REMAIN
THIS WAR WILL NEVER END
I EMBRACE MY LOVE FOR YOU
THOUGH I HATE YOU MY FRIEND

HAND TO HEART YOU’LL NEVER LET ME GO
BEFORE I LEARN TO SUFFOCATE YOU SLOW

I’LL RISE - HIGHER THAN MOUNTAINS
WHERE ALL THE PAIN CAN’T PULL ME DOWN
I WILL FLY CLOSE TO SUN

RISE - HIGHER THAN MOUNTAINS
THEY ALL SAY HEIGHT WILL BURN ME DOWN
BUT I KNOW BEST WHAT I’M ABOUT

4AM I’M STILL ALIVE
BLEEDING FOR MY CRIME
EVERY THOUGHT AND EVERY SINGLE WORD
KEEPS WASTING TIME

HAND TO HEART YOU’LL NEVER LET ME GO
BEFORE I LEARN TO SUFFOCATE YOU SLOW

I’LL RISE - HIGHER THAN MOUNTAINS
WHERE ALL THE PAIN CAN’T PULL ME DOWN
I WILL FLY CLOSE TO SUN

RISE - HIGHER THAN MOUNTAINS
THEY ALL SAY HEIGHT WILL BURN ME DOWN
BUT I KNOW BEST WHAT I’M ABOUT

NO NEED TO SAVE ME NOW
I’M HIGHER SOMEHOW, WAY OFF THE GROUND

RISE - HIGHER THAN MOUNTAINS
THEY ALL SAY HEIGHT WILL BURN ME DOWN
BUT I KNOW BEST WHAT I’M ABOUT

RISE - HIGHER THAN MOUNTAINS
WHERE ALL THE PAIN CAN’T PULL ME DOWN
I WILL FLY CLOSE TO SUN

RISE - HIGHER THAN MOUNTAINS
THEY ALL SAY HEIGHT WILL BURN ME DOWN
BUT I KNOW BEST WHAT I’M ABOUT

Lyrics

I know I shouldn’t call you
but its raining
And you keep sayin
That you’re all alone
But I ain’t with these games you keep on playin
You gone or stayin?
Make up your mind or let me go

You hide it well but I can tell
By the look in your eyes
You were falling to pieces
And with a glance you let me dance
With your greatest disguise
And it’s leaving me sleepless

Back and forth you push and pull me
As I get lost in what we should be

I know I shouldn’t call you
but its raining
And you keep sayin
That you’re all alone
But I ain’t with these games you keep on playin
You gone or stayin?
Make up your mind or let me go

You hide it well but I can tell
By the look in your eyes
(Make up your mind or let me go)
And with a glance you let me dance
With your greatest disguise
(Make up your mind or let me go)

If stars aligned we would be fine
But that’s only in time
And the clock is against me
It’s by design, it’s all a sign
In and out of your mind
And I can’t keep from thinking
I stand here just to fight for nothing
So far gone and you keep running

Ready, Go
Nothing left to lose
Now you have to choose

I know I shouldn’t call you
but its raining
(Rainin)
And you keep sayin
(Sayin)
That you’re all alone
(All alone)
But I ain’t with these games you keep on playin
(Playin)
You gone or stayin?
(Stayin)
Make up your mind or let me go

If stars aligned we would be fine
But that’s only in time
(Make up your mind or let me go)
It’s by design, it’s all a sign
In and out of your mind
(Make up your mind or let me go)

LYRICS
Sometimes I just drive
‘Til the night turns off my mind
I’m passing cars
And crowded bars
Never know until I go too far
Confusing faith and fear
Paint a smile from ear to ear
‘Cause if I blink
I start to think
I feel nothing, I feel everything

I try my best to turn down the noise
And I tell myself that boys will be boys
It’s getting harder to breathe
So baby put me to sleep
‘Til it gets better?

So wake me up when it’s over
It’s over
When it’s over
Tell me it was all just a dream

And wake me up when it’s over
It’s over
When it’s over
Tell me it was all just a dream
And I’ll believe it

Keep me in the dark
Then fast forward to the part
With endless nights
And neon lights
I’ll be beautiful and starry eyed

I try my best to turn down the noise
And I tell myself that boys will be boys
It’s getting harder to breathe
So, baby, put me to sleep
Til it gets better

So wake me up when it’s over
It’s over
When it’s over
Tell me it was all just a dream

And wake me up when it’s over
It’s over When it’s over
Tell me it was all just a dream
And I’ll believe it

Sometimes I just drive
When I can’t turn off my mind
I don’t know where
I’ll meet you there
Someday

So wake me up when it’s over
It’s over
When it’s over
Tell me it was all just a dream

And wake me up when it’s over
It’s over
When it’s over
Tell me it was all just a dream

And I’ll believe it

🌿 420 MIXTAPE 🌿 (BEST WEED SONGS | STONER MIX) Hotney 7 Streams • 4 years ago

Happy 4/20 (2020) to all the cannabis advocates out there! dj da vinci invites you to sit back, get comfortable, roll up, toke up & enjoy this mix.
⬇️
"You need to git up, git out and git something, don't let the days of your life pass by. You need to git up, git out and git something, don't spend all your time trying to get high." - OutKast

( 4/20 can be the exception 😄 )

I reference these lyrics above by OutKast to inspire us during this surreal COVID-19 time. Take advantage of the time some of us may have right now to grow in every which way: mentally, creatively, physically, financially. Some of us may not have this luxury, but the ones who do, use it to become closer to your loved ones, binge less TV, make daily schedules, set goals, cook, exercise, you name it! But remember to take a break once in a while and reward yourself in any way you see fit. 💚

💚 Don't forget to share, like & subscribe! 🙏 much love

1990 erscheint Dulfers erstes Solo-Album "Saxuality".

Baroque Music - History of Baroque Music Hotney 7 Streams • 4 years ago

Baroque music is a period or style of Western art music composed from approximately 1600 to 1750. This era followed the Renaissance music era, and was followed in turn by the Classical era. Baroque music forms a major portion of the "classical music" canon, and is now widely studied, performed, and listened to. Key composers of the Baroque era include Johann Sebastian Bach, Antonio Vivaldi, George Frideric Handel, Claudio Monteverdi, Domenico Scarlatti, Alessandro Scarlatti, Henry Purcell, Georg Philipp Telemann, Jean-Baptiste Lully, Jean-Philippe Rameau, Marc-Antoine Charpentier, Arcangelo Corelli, Tomaso Albinoni, François Couperin, Giuseppe Tartini, Heinrich Schütz, Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, Dieterich Buxtehude, and Johann Pachelbel.

The Baroque period saw the creation of common-practice tonality, an approach to writing music in which a song or piece is written in a particular key; this kind of arrangement has continued to be used in almost all Western popular music. During the Baroque era, professional musicians were expected to be accomplished improvisers of both solo melodic lines and accompaniment parts. Baroque concerts were typically accompanied by a basso continuo group (comprising chord-playing instrumentalists such as harpsichordists and lute players improvising chords from a figured bass part) while a group of bass instruments—viol, cello, double bass—played the bassline. A characteristic Baroque form was the dance suite. While the pieces in a dance suite were inspired by actual dance music, dance suites were designed purely for listening, not for accompanying dancers.

During the period, composers and performers used more elaborate musical ornamentation (typically improvised by performers), made changes in musical notation (the development of figured bass as a quick way to notate the chord progression of a song or piece), and developed new instrumental playing techniques. Baroque music expanded the size, range, and complexity of instrumental performance, and also established the mixed vocal/instrumental forms of opera, cantata and oratorio and the instrumental forms of the solo concerto and sonata as musical genres. Many musical terms and concepts from this era, such as toccata, fugue and concerto grosso are still in use in the 2010s. Dense, complex polyphonic music, in which multiple independent melody lines were performed simultaneously (a popular example of this is the fugue), was an important part of many Baroque choral and instrumental works.

The term "baroque" comes from the Portuguese word barroco, meaning "misshapen pearl". Negative connotations of the term first occurred in 1734, in a criticism of an opera by Jean-Philippe Rameau, and later (1750) in a description by Charles de Brosses of the ornate and heavily ornamented architecture of the Pamphili Palace in Rome; and from Jean Jacques Rousseau in 1768 in the Encyclopédie in his criticism of music that was overly complex and unnatural. Although the term continued to be applied to architecture and art criticism through the 19th century, it was not until the 20th century that the term "baroque" was adopted from Heinrich Wölfflin's art-history vocabulary to designate a historical period in music.

Lyrics:
Last night we let the liquor talk
I can't remember everything we said but we said it all
You told me that you wish I was somebody you never met
But baby, baby somethin's tellin' me this ain't over yet
No way it was our last night

I kiss your lips
Make you grip the sheets with your fingertips
Last bottle of Jack we split a fifth
Just talk about life goin' sip for sip
You, you know you love to fight
And I say shit I don't mean
But I'm still gon' wake up wantin' you and me

I know that last night we let the liquor talk
I can't remember everything we said but we said it all
You told me that you wish I was somebody you never met
But baby, baby somethin's tellin' me this ain't over yet
No way it was our last night
No way it was our last night

No way it was the last night that we break up
I see your tail lights in the dust
You call your momma, I call your bluff
In the middle of the night, pull it right back up
Yeah my, my friends say let her go
Your friends say what the hell
I wouldn't trade your kind of love for nothin' else

Oh baby, last night we let the liquor talk
I can't remember everything we said but we said it all
You told me that you wish I was somebody you never met
But baby, baby somethin's tellin' me this ain't over yet

No way it was our last night, we said we'd had enough
I can’t remember everything we said but we said too much
I know you packed your shit and slammed the door right before you left
But baby, baby somethin’s tellin’ me this ain’t over yet
No way it was our last night
No way it was our last night

I know you said this time you really weren’t coming back again,
But baby, baby somethin’s tellin’ me this ain’t over yet.
No way it was our last night
No way it was our last night
