The Unseen Side of No Malice: Feud with Lil Wayne, Deals, and a Dive into Devotion Hotney 7 Streams • 3 years ago

Had to reupload this due to copyright issues, enjoy

Today we are talking about an often overlooked rapper by the name of No Malice. No Malice formed one
half of the Virginia Beach hip-hop duo; Clipse; alongside his arguably more famous baby brother; Pusha T
and the pair were heavily affiliated with Pharrell Williams. Often; No Malice is forgotten because he did
not have as successful of a solo career as Pusha but the truth is that without him; Clipse would never
even have existed nor would Pusha have started rapping. And if those two situations hadn’t gone off; the
whole Young Money and GOOD Music beef wouldn’t have happened which means that the face of Hip
Hop Beef today may have looked very very different. Malice; was instrumental in forming Clipse and
consequently was integral in establishing Virginia as one of the East Coast’s strongholds in hip hop. He
enjoyed a successful career as a duo until they split up in 2010 in an attempt to go solo. Thereafter;
Malice underwent a spiritual rebirth and converted to Christianity; releasing two more solo albums and a
book and enjoyed a quieter time in the limelight as he got older before Clipse reunited in 2019. Today we
will be exploring No Malice as well as Clipse; and exploring exactly how important Malice was to hip hop
as a whole. So with that being said; let’s dive right in!

Lyrics:
Yeah, you broke me and took your time with it
Yeah, you gave me all these memories that I regret
All I can do is congratulate 'cause you
Ruin me for everybody
Yeah, you ruin me for everybody

Wake up in the morning a different girl be on my line
Constantly be calling everyday I still decline
See, this exactly what you did
You ruin me for everybody
You ruin me for everybody

Bye bye
Good riddance for the last time
Say you can try, try
Maybe get it right next time
Different timeline
Maybe then you could be mine
Ruin me for everybody
You ruin me for everybody

Babylon tricks way you put upon me
'Cause back then I was very lonely
I still am, I’m just trying to find peace every day
My heart is on holiday

Still gives me sleepless nights
Sometimes I wonder how it happened all of a sudden
You ruin me for everybody

I wake up in the morning
Different girls be on my line
Constantly be calling me, I just don’t reply
See, this exactly what you did
You ruin me for everybody
You ruin me for everybody

Bye bye
Good riddance for the last time
Say you can try, try
Maybe get it right next time
Different timeline
Maybe then you could be mine
Ruin me for everybody
You ruin me for everybody

Bye bye
Good riddance for the last time
Say you can try, try
Maybe get it right next time
Different timeline
Maybe then you could be mine
Ruin me for everybody
You ruin me for everybody

Lyrics

Strumming my pain with his fingers
Singing my life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me softly with his song

I heard he sang a good song
I heard he had a style
And so I came to see him
To listen for a while
And there he was this young boy
A stranger to my eyes

Strumming my pain with his fingers
Singing my life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me softly with his song

I felt all flushed with fever
Embarrassed by the crowd
I felt he found my letters
And read each one out loud
I prayed that he would finish
But he just kept right on

Strumming my pain with his fingers
Singing my life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me softly with his song

He sang as if he knew me
In all my dark despair
And then he looked right through me
As if I wasn't there
And he just kept on singing
Singing clear and strong

Strumming my pain with his fingers
Singing my life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me softly with his song

Ohhhh ohhhh ohhhh
Ohh ohh ohh ohh ohh ohh ohh
La la la, la la la
Ohh ohh ohh, ohh ohh ohh
La ahh ahhhhhh haaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Ha ahh ahh, ahh ahh ahh ahh

Strumming my pain with his fingers
Singing my life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me (softly)

He was strumming my pain
Yeah, he was singing my life
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me softly
With his song

About Bad Boy Entertainment:

In 1993, Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs, also known as Diddy, launched Bad Boy Records. Nobody could have
imagined the impact the label would have on pop culture. As a subsidiary of the larger Bad Boy
Entertainment, the label became best known for its signature sound of streetwise hip-hop soul and the
ghetto fabulousness that radiated like precious jewels from its very name. Bad Boy was designed for
those who aspired higher, but also wanted to party until the break of dawn. Puffy had seen life from
both sides of the class divide and, with his groove-heavy music, worked hard to merge the two. There is
no better visual embodiment of this merger than the groundbreaking videos that were in heavy rotation
on BET and MTV and now on YouTube.

The Bad Boy Entertainment channel is the official YouTube home of iconic music videos from Puff
Daddy, Craig Mack, Faith Evans, 112, Total, Mase, Yung Joc, Cassie, Danity Kane, and the rest of the Bad
Boy Family, and your destination for some of the biggest 90s and 00s hip-hop hits of all time like Craig
Mack’s “Flava In Your Ear (Remix)”, the Notorious B.I.G. tribute “I’ll Be Missing You” by Puff Daddy feat.
Faith Evans and 112, and Cassie – “Me & U”.
