LYRICS

I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much times has passed,
Oh God it feels like forever, but no one ever tells you that
Forever feels like home, sitting all alone inside your head

Cause I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much times has passed,
Oh God it feels like forever, but no one ever tells you that
Forever feels like home, sitting all alone inside your head

How do you feel? That is the question.
But I forget you don't expect an easy answer.
When something like a soul becomes initialized and folded up like
Paper dolls and little notes, you can't expect a bit of hope
So while you're outside looking in, describing what you see
Remember what you're starting at is me.

Cause I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much times has passed,
Oh God it feels like forever, but no one ever tells you that
Forever feels like home, sitting all alone inside your head

How much is real? So much to question.
An epidemic of the mannequins contaminating everything
We thought came from the heart, but never did right from the start
Just listen to the noises - null and void instead of voices
Before you tell yourself it's just a different scene
Remember it's just different from what you see

I'm looking at you through the glass, don't know how much times has passed,
All I know is that it feels like forever, but no one ever tells you that
Forever feels like home, sitting all alone inside your head

And it's the stars, the stars that shine for you
And it's the stars, the stars that lie to you
And it's the stars, the stars that shine for you
And it's the stars, the stars that lie to you

I'm looking at you through the glass, don't know how much times has passed,
All I know is that it feels like forever, but no one ever tells you that
Forever feels like home, sitting all alone inside your head

Cause I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much times has passed,
Oh God it feels like forever, but no one ever tells you that
Forever feels like home, sitting all alone inside your head

And it's the stars, the stars that shine for you
And it's the stars, the stars that lie to you
And it's the stars, the stars that shine for you
And it's the stars, the stars that lie to you

Olly Alexander - Dizzy (Lyrics)

There’s a place where
We break the line
Make it a circle redefined
Beautiful gardens
Eternal flowers
You know the way so take me there

Won’t you make me
Dizzy from your kisses
Will you take my hand and spin me
Round and round until the moment never ends
Make me dizzy from your kisses
Will you take my hand and spin me
Take me back to the beginning again (again, again)

Pulling me close
I feel a stillness in the air
Time has frozen
All memories lost

So won’t you make me dizzy from your kisses
Will you take my hand and spin me
Round and round until the moment never ends
Make me dizzy from your kisses
Will you take my hand and spin me
Take me back to the beginning again (again, again)

So won’t you make me…

There isn’t an end
There isn’t a start
I don’t wanna stop
I can’t go too far

There isn’t an end
There isn’t a start
I don’t wanna stop
I can’t go too far

There isn’t an end
There isn’t a start
I don’t wanna stop
I can’t go too far

There isn’t an end
There isn’t…

So won’t you make me dizzy from your kisses
Will you take my hand and spin me
Round and round until the moment never ends
Make me dizzy from your kisses
Will you take my hand and spin me
Take me back to the beginning again (again, again)

Medina - Que sera Hotney 7 Görünümler • 3 yıl önce

Startnummer 6 i deltävling 5 2024 i Karlstad
Artist: Medina
Bidrag: Que sera
Bidraget "In i dimman" nådde en tredjeplats i finalen.

Bailando
Vi går prrropopop
Vårt nya motto är
Danse danse
Allé allé allé
Det går upp och det går ner

Que sera sera
Danse
La viva la vida
Oooh
Que sera sera
Chante
La viva la vida

Vi tänker leva la vida
Sen får det bli va det blir va
Oh oh oh

Bailando
Vi går prrropopop
Vårt nya motto är
Danse danse
Allé allé allé
Det går upp och det går ner

Que sera sera

I had previously done a video on the rise and fall of the canadian big shiny tunes compilation albums. One of the group’s featured in the video was Bran Van 3000 who appeared on the first big shiny tunes and a few people in the comments of that video, requested I do a story on them. Bran Van 3000 would be best known for the 1997 hit ‘Drinkin in LA’ but did you know one of people who prominently appeared on the track’ tried to be erased by the record label? That’s what we’re going to explore in today’s video.
Formed in montreal bran van, 3000 is a canadian rock and hip hop group, The origin of the group began with James De Salvo who in the mid 90’s was working at a video production company named propaganda films where his colleagues included spike jonze and michael condry. He also had a side gig as a DJ.
It was in 1994 De Salvo he was going through some financial troubles. He had recently done some work with a french canadian artist jean leloup and branford marsalis and he received a royalty cheque. Rather than saving the money, De Salvo wanted to build a studio in his montreal apartment. It was around this time an old buddy from the montreal club scene named EP Bergen was planning on going to new york city and invited him on the trip. As the pair were walking through washington square park they talked about setting up a musical project together and came up with the name Bran Van 3000. The name really had no meaning, it was gibberish. It was on that trip they headed to sam ash to buy some sampling equipment. Upon returning to the hip montreal neighbourhood of mile end, they began working on what would be their debut album, titled Glee.
It would have a wide cast of collaborators including a street performer they came across who could play teh clarinet pretty well and they included him on two songs couch surfer and supermodel. Their debut album Glee would have over 30 guest musicians and span multiple genres. One of the musicians who guest starred on the record, most notably appearing on the track drinkin in LA singing the hook would be Stephanie Moraille (Steph-ann More-i). At the time she was going to law school, teaching aerobics and working as a part-time singer. She had originally envisioned becoming a dancer studying ballet, but things wouldn’t work out after she blew her knee out. After that, she needed a creative outlet, so she turned to singing. She fronted a Canadian house music project called Shauana Davis with their most memorable hits being Try My Love and Get Away. She had a friend who was friends with EP Bergen and he was looking for a singer to appear on the song drinkin in LA. She would tell Q with Tom Power that she almost never recorded teh song, because it was the middle of winter and it was -40 outside. She would recall.
"If I had a cell phone back then I would have cancelled.. But in the '90s, if you said you were going to be at a place at a certain time, you had to show up because there was no other way to contact anyone… I show up at the studio. [Bran Van founder] James [Di Salvio] shows me, like, chicken scratch lyrics, and then I hear the guitar riff. I'm like, 'Wow, this is going to work.' I down a beer and then I sing the chorus." She drank the beer because she was tired and the members said it would perk her up. She came up with the melody and the bridge and the rest was history. The song would be mixed in February and released in March of 1997.
Drinking in LA would be the last song written for Glee. It was sometime in the 90’s Salvo woke up one morning on a lawn in West Hollywood and asked himself “what the hell am i doing drinking in LA?”and that’s where the inspiration for the song came from.
De Salvo knew right away they had a massive hit on their hands. telling the Toronto Star “it’s was almost like one of those animated movies where a blue bird swings by over real live footage. It’s cheesy, but i knew in my heart it was a hit.” De Salvo soon took a trip to south by southwest in 97 and It was during a trip to he brought cassettes with the word Glee in helvetica font with his Montreal 514 area code number on them.
On the last day of SXSW De Salvo bumped into Moby and gave hi

Discover the fascinating story of Life of Agony, a band whose roots trace back to the hardcore scene but evolved into a unique blend of alternative metal. Formed in 1989, the band's early years were marked by personal struggles and musical experimentation, culminating in their debut album "River Runs Red" in 1993, a groundbreaking conceptual narrative touching on theme of personal suffering.

Despite facing challenges and lineup changes over the years, including the departure of original vocalist Keith Caputo, the band continued to push boundaries and explore new musical territories with albums like "Ugly" and "Soul Searching Sun." In 2003, they embarked on a series of reunion shows and eventually released their fourth album, "Broken Valley," in 2005.

The band's journey took a significant turn in 2011 when Caputo came out as transgender, transitioning to Mina Caputo. This momentous event brought both personal and professional changes for the band, yet they persevered, releasing albums like "A Place Where There's No More Pain" in 2017 and "The Sound of Scars" in 2019, the latter serving as a sequel to their iconic debut.

With a rich history spanning over three decades, Life of Agony remains a powerful force in the alternative metal scene, continuing to create music that resonates with audiences worldwide. The late 90s saw the rise of Citizen King, known for their hit song "Better Days (And the Bottom Drops Out)" which gained popularity through radio airplay and inclusion in shows like Malcolm in the Middle. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the band evolved from a previous group called Wild Kingdom, blending funk, punk, and ska influences. Formed in the early 90s, Citizen King comprised Malcolm Michaels (turntablist), Dave Cooley (keyboardist), DJ Brooks (drummer), Sage Shwarm (bassist), along with guitarist Kristian Riley and vocalist Matt Sims.

Their eclectic musical influences and energetic live performances earned them a local following. They transitioned from Wild Kingdom to Citizen King to explore a broader musical spectrum. Sims, inspired by various music genres and familial influences, coined the band's name from historical and political references.

The band's journey continued with basement shows and regional performances, solidifying their sound as a fusion of jazz, funk, and hip-hop. They caught the attention of Speech from Arrested Development, leading to their debut album "Brown Bag LP" in 1995 and subsequent EP "Count the Days."

Signing with 510/MCA Records and later Warner Brothers, they released their major label debut "Mobile Estates" in 1999. Their breakout hit "Better Days" propelled them to mainstream success, though the band emphasized their diverse musical range beyond the single. However, subsequent singles didn't achieve the same level of success.

Internal conflicts and canceled gigs marked a tumultuous period for the band, eventually leading to their disbandment in 2002. The reasons behind the split remain largely undisclosed, with speculation suggesting personal issues, substance abuse, or creative differences.

Since then, band members pursued various endeavors. Malcolm Michaels ventured into solo projects and production, while Dave Cooley found success as a producer. DJ Brooks established his own DJ company, and Kristian Riley ventured into music production. Matt Sims, after a stint in Los Angeles as a model, relocated to Germany, pursuing a solo music career under the name CEI.

Despite their brief time in the spotlight, Citizen King left a lasting impact on the music scene, blending genres and showcasing the vibrant Milwaukee music scene of the late 90s.

FOR DUCK LYRICS

New Glock’s and xd’s. We ain’t shooting til we test these and we ain’t stopping til we catch 3. Hit his crib and tell him catch me. They like they ain’t playing fair yeah this shit that deep.
The other day I almost clapped a Nigga. Whole time this just a fan he trying to snap a picture.

That get back gone be so real we gotta wrap a Nigga. We just riding lurking tryna catch a rapper Nigga and if we ever said it’s up nigga. Then it’s stuck nigga. I’m the type to come through dressed up like a cluck Nigga. Now you boxed up in that corner and you fucked nigga. And the last words that you heard was this for Duck nigga. And all that fake shit don’t come around with it. Cause usually that snake shit come around with it. And usually the ones that fold say they down with it. You hanging with that Nigga he told you must be down with it. And ain’ t gotta get close to you. Nigga I can get you touched from a ocean view. I just make a call and they do what they post to do. Aint no capping boa them scrappers they stand over you. Like Dooski say I got a bond with my shooters.

And if they catch a case then we just bond out the shooter. We might hit yo crib like we running with the looters. You can try to run but ain’t no running from this Ruger. I catch the killer he getting buried alive no buried in five. When my niggas want you where you gone hide better ride with that fire.

And if we can’t find you we gone get somebody that mean a lot to you. So you can keep on hiding and we Gon end up taking a lot from you. And ain’t no question I don’t wanna talk. Ain’t no drive-by shootings today I wanna walk.

- We been at his crib some hours today I wanna stalk. And we ain’t leaving from his crib until this nigga caught. He coming out I saw him in HD. Ran up on him with the pipe.

Like nigga take these. Nigga stumbling and running he can’t shake these. Then all you seen was a flash. Told him say cheese. Look got a lot of shit on my mind I just keep inside. Because if I let it out you might jus see them demons fly. It’s fucked up when you lose your Nigga and see him die. That hit a part in yo soul where you can’t even cry. I then witness Niggas change right in front of me. And I then witnessed Niggas get changed right in front of me. Mama always ask me son what you wanna be. But it ain’t what I wanna be ma it’s what I’m gonna be. I always been the humble type but never been the mumble type. Was raised around them young wild Niggas in that jungle life. You wouldn’t last a day you don’t wanna see what that jungle like. Them youngings riding around with pipes them youngings they’ll take your life. Most of my niggas gang bang or locked up in a cell. Sometimes I ask the man upstairs is we living in hell. Them shorties run up on your porch like they deliver mail. Them shorties run up with that torch and just deliver shells. See I grew up in a city full of hatred. Where they see you got a way out but don’t wanna see you make it. They don’t wanna see you take it. They dont wanna see you chase it.

They gone smile like its love but deep down inside they hate it. See I came along way from depression and aggression. From welfare to section 8 I thank God cause it’s a blessing. Brothers in and out of jail’s lord knows my mama stressing. Thinking about the life I live like will I make it to see heaven.

Will I make it to see 27 I’ll be damned I be under a reveren. I’ll be damned I let a Nigga get up on me he gone catch six from the seven. I then seen Niggas hang with Niggas who then told. So I don’t fuck with them you fuck with him you then told. I can vouch these niggas bitches on bro nem. And I can merch that on them Niggas on folk nem. If that was me won’t be no witness naww.

If that was me won’t be no sentence. Look So run up on me wrong you better have your shit together. Because them killers I fuck with they be with whatever. My niggas hopping out with them deserts. We ain’t come to Send a blessing boa we came to send a message.

Look moral of the story keep a weapon if he trying to learn. He get burned because I teach a lesson. Hollows open up like presents when I shoot that Smith and Wesson. For some shit he did in the past now he ain’t present Nigga.

Paroles:

Il y a ma main dans la fenêtre
Titanic

I’ve been away
And now I’m back to you
C’est animal

You make me feel good
Ta main sur ma taille
Ensemble dans le taxi
C’est vraiment super sexy
You make me feel nice
Frissons everytime
J’y ai pensé mille fois
If you want me, dis-le moi

You make me feel good
You make me feel good
You make me feel good
You make me feel good

On arrive à la falaise
Iconique
Plus il y a de danger, plus je me sens à l’aise
Ironique
Et j’ai pensé mourir avec toi
Cyanide

I’ve been away
And now I’m back to you
C’est animal

You make me feel good
Ta main sur ma taille
Ensemble dans le taxi
C’est vraiment super sexy
You make me feel nice
Frissons every time

J’y ai pensé mille fois
If you want me, dis-le moi

You make me feel good
You make me feel good
You make me feel good
You make me feel good
Good
