Things you might not know about Megadeth and Dave Mustaine... Hotney 6 Streams • 4 years ago

I’m sure you all know the story of how Megadeth formed. After Dave Mustaine was kicked out of Metallica for his reckless behaviour, he vowed to take revenge by forming his own band that would be faster and heavier. Megadeth became known as one of the “Big Four” Thrash Metal bands that also included Metallica, Slayer and Anthrax.

Hosted by Marielle Tengström

⚡Mustaine: A Heavy Metal Memoir⚡

But where did the name Megadeth come from?

On April 11, 1983, Dave Mustaine was fired from Metallica and sent packing with his guitar and amp on a bus back to Los Angeles.

As he detailed in his book, ‘Mustaine : A Heavy Metal Memoir’ released in 2010, he recalled how he picked up a newspaper on the journey home that said: “The arsenal of megadeath can't be rid, no matter what the peace treaties come to”.

This name stuck with Mustaine, and at the time he was trying to think of a foreign name that combined the words “Fire” and “Bomb”.

On the same bus journey home he was also writing the lyrics for the first Megadeth song. Whilst he initially called this song “Megadeth” he changed the title to “Set the World Afire”.

When he got back to Los Angeles to form his new band, he decided on the name Fallen Angeles, but that didn’t quite have the apocalyptic impact Mustaine was hoping for.

So one day when his band were sitting around coming up with ideas for names, the singer at the time, Lor Caine, just said, “Hey why don’t we call the band Megadeth”. After seeing Dave Mustaine write this as a song title.

And so the name Megadeth was born. I think you’ll agree, it definitely sounds better than Fallen Angels!

Bio

Multi-Instrumentalist Reinhardt Buhr has composed 17 albums in 10 years time.

At the end of 2019, his work went viral over social media, reaching more than a hundred million views across Facebook and Youtube.

Reinhardt combines the Laser Harp, Spanish Guitar, Electric Guitar, Electric Cello, Australian didgeridoo, Israeli Shofar, Spanish Cajon, Synthesizers and Piano via a live looping system to create an extraordinary symphonic orchestral sound in only a one-man improvisational act.

Reinhardt Buhr was born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1988 and grew up with
no passion for music at all, In fact, as a teenager, he became a computer gamer and
began abusing alcohol at a very young age. His first job was at a small liquor store, where he earned 20 cents an hour. After that, he worked as a packer in a supermarket. His plan of
becoming an animator failed when he started abusing marijuana and alcohol on a
regular basis.

At the age of 19, two of his closest friends began learning the guitar. Reinhardt
immediately fell in love with it. With no formal training, the three friends simply
taught themselves how to play. A year later, Reinhardt was inspired by a Flamenco
guitar player, and began learning Flamenco Rumba Guitar from YouTube videos.
One day, he was sitting at a small roadside steak restaurant with his parents, and
there was a man playing solo guitar covers. Reinhardt approached him to make
small talk and the owner of the restaurant overheard that Reinhardt played a bit of
Spanish Guitar music.

So the owner asked Reinhardt “Why don’t you come back next week to play, and I
will give you a steak and 10 dollars in return?” So Reinhardt Buhr played his first
solo Spanish guitar gig that following weekend and hasn’t stopped since.
Reinhardt Buhr quickly became known around South Africa and formed a duo
band called “Wild Lettuce”. He and the drummer performed many national
tours. They also opened for a lot of great artists. But unfortunately, Reinhardt fell
into a dark habit of abusing alcohol, drugs, and cocaine.

This affected him, his career, and everyone around him in a very negative way.
The band broke up. Reinhardt Buhr went solo and left his hometown, hoping to
escape the drug scene, only to find himself moving in with someone who also had
a cocaine problem. The whole cycle started over again.

At the end of 2016, Reinhardt hit an all-time low. He was at the point of death. He
fell on his knees and pleaded with God to step into his broken life. When things
could not get any worse, God in His full mercy and grace, stepped in and changed
his life completely. Reinhardt and his wife, Mandie Buhr, both experienced God’s
salvation and were baptized together. They left a lifestyle of abusing, marijuana,
alcohol, and drugs, and began on a beautiful road of salvation and healing.
During the biggest transition of his life, Reinhardt was playing a gig one day. As
he was playing for hundreds of people, He experienced a voice telling him to make music
for God. When Reinhardt made the shift from playing for fame and fortune to
playing for Christ Jesus, everything about his music changed! You can even see
the transition from his earlier album called “Organika 432hz”, to his latest album
entitled “Life”.

To this day, Reinhardt Buhr makes music to God. This is his way of worshiping
the Creator and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Young G's - Puff Daddy Feat. Jay-Z & Notorious B.I.G Hotney 6 Streams • 4 years ago

Album: No Way Out

Lyrics: Verse One: Puff Daddy
Out of this world like Mars when I spit these bars
Come fuck with these stars up in luxury cars
We built them radars to stay free from the cops
Crucial choices to make, like A-C or the drop
Are we gonna stop? Shit man never my squad go broke
Your squad arti-choke
Watch your circle vanish like cigar smoke
Ain't no joke, when your ones don't show
Nigga I know, might say 'Been There Done That' like Dre
Through hard work I earn the vault
Promise God to never look back or I turn to salt
Got nice watches nice cars nice bitches and rings
Guess it's safe to say a nigga like me got nice things
Can't relate to motherfuckers, who ain't go no cake
When you all fucked up, and can't get no break
When your fake ass friends, don't help you out when you need it
Be on some real bullshit, politely tell you to beat it
Fuck that, get your own nigga, don't ask me for shit
That's what I did, now they all askin for hits
Nigga it's on for the simple fact I let it be known
We still fly but seperately cause now I, charter my own
Propellers, Goodfellas, leave all them playa haters jealous
Billboard charts should tell us, they can't touch us
Why niggaz bring the ruckus?
Because release day is bigger than Mandela's, motherfuckers
Chorus:
Just some ghetto boys
Living in these ghetto streets -- these ghetto streets
And everyday they gotta fight to stay alive
It's just reality
Verse Two: Jay-Z
Yeah, make you a deal, check
These here's the dog years and motherfuckers don't she'd
I try to bring you life but motherfuckers want dead
So I travel with the babble, with the chrome, with the lead
Cause when it's on, then it's on, the shots flowin through your head
I been rich I been poor I saved and blown bread
Some say I been here before because of the way I zone
Some said, Jigga zone is like the fallin of Rome
Reoccuring, that he thinks like that cause he's observing
Won't be known until I'm gone and niggaz study my bones
Mentally been many places, but I'm Brooklyn's own
In the physical, onee seems, like a lost body
In fact my thoughts don't differ much from that of God body
But it's the odd shottie, that got cats, likening me
To the mob John Gotti, rap dudes bitin me cause
I got it locked like the late Bob Marley
Pardon me y'all, the great Bob Marley
Solemnly we mourn, all the rappers that's gone
Niggaz that got killed in the field and all the babies born
Know they ain't fully prepared for this New World Order
So I keep it ghetto like sunflower seeds and quarter waters
You walk em through it, you know, talk em through it
Know these beads is more than music whenever I talk to it
Destined for greatness and y'all knew this, when I doubled the pie
Had a shorty and a girdle comin out of B-W-I (in school)
I hated algebra but I loved to multiply
And I told my nigga Big I'd be multi before I die
It's gonna happen whether rappin or clappin have it your way
Cause if that's my dough you're trappin, I'm clappin your way
Chorus
Verse Three: Notorious B.I.G.
Damn it feel good to see people up on it
Flipped two keys in two weeks and didn't flaunt it
My brain is haunted, with mean dreams
GS's with BB's on it, supreme schemes, to get Richer
Than Richie, quickly, niggaz wanna hit me
If they get me, dress my body in linen by Armani, check it
My lyrical carjack, make your brains splat
High caliber gats is all I fuck with, now peep the rough shit
In my circumfrence, mad bitches, with mad lucci
Bulletproof vestes under they coochie
Spittin my uzi, don't lose me, my trigga niggaz represent
Drivin dirty in J-30's gettin bent
And to my hit hoes, my murder mommies
I be smokin trees in Belize when they find me
While you still killin niggaz with punany, like heiny
And Cyrus up in Cypress fuck you raw you on the floor with the virus
While I just, slang coke, smoke pounds to choke
Got lawyers watchin lawyers so I won't go broke, now check it
Them country niggaz call me Frank White
I'm squirtin off in my loft of course I know my shit's tight
Sunrise open my eyes no surprise
Got my shorty flyin in with keys taped to her thighs
With all the utensils, who hang my china thing
She half black half oriental eighty-six she got me rental
The situation ain't accidental..
What? From a, from a young G's perspective.. (repeat 2X)
Chorus 2X to fade

I cite my sources and they may differ than other people's accounts, so I don't guarantee the actual accuracy of my videos.

montages or remember from the late 90’s nike commercial the British band the Verve’s tumultuous history is full of ego, litigation, drug addiction, in-fighting and bad luck. To some outside the UK, the Verve were simply a one hit wonder, but was that case? Today, let’s take a look at the volatile history of the Verve

Rolling Stone

Early Life

Hailing from the english town of Wigan located in the greater Manchester Area, town was Economically depressed. The Verve frontman Richard Aschroft was no fan of his hometown telling the alternative press "If I hadn't made the decision to be in a band looking back on what was on offer in that town, it's a quite frightening prospect,"

The son of a part-time clerical worker and hairdresser mother, Ashcroft’s family didn’t have much money and struggled to make ends meet. Ashcroft couldn’t afford to buy albums so instead he taped songs from the radio and rifled through his parents record collections made up mostly of Pink Floyd and Beatles albums. Ashcroft would go through a few phases in his life first wanting to be a footballer dreaming of playing for manchester united. He would eventually change his dream to be a rockstar after witnessing a live gig by The Stone Roses. Side note guys i’ve done a whole video on the stone roses career the link is down below. Ashcroft would tell Select Magazine"Seeing them play Warrington in 1989 basically changed my life," "These guys looked and dressed like me and they were from the same background, yet they were on-stage, being adored. Seeing them made me realize that I could do that as well. I could do better."

But Ashcroft didn’t have a lot of supporters in his dream or had to deal with obstacles in his life. He would tell a career councillor that he wanted to be a rockstar only to be offered a position as a lifeguard. On top of that he was told by a doctor prior to becoming a teenager that he had the lung capacity of a collapsed flea with the doctor telling him he would likely have a cold for the rest of his life. . It did little to dampen his spirits as his mother would reveal her son was cocky from a young age with one schoolmate of his telling select magazine he was nicknamed Jesus because he loved being the center of attention. Ashcroft would admit to Spin Magazine he knew he was destined to be a rockstar adding “ i could sing the lord’s f**** prayer when i was five years old so I knew.”

It was at the age of 11 Ashcroft’s father would pass away from a brain hemorrhage that was the result of a dormant brain clot that eventually expanded. The tragic event would change his outlook on life with him telling melody maker in 1993.

“My father died when I was really young. He'd worked nine to five all his life, and he suffered and got nowhere. And I was 11 at the time and I immediately realized that this wasn't the life for me. Immediately I found out how quickly someone can die just be wiped out. So I thought, F*** this, I'm gonna do something positive, I can do something positive, I can do something great, I'm gonna make something of myself.' He would add how the event resulted in him losing some of his innocence in life telling select magazine "Other kids were playing with their Action Men and I was questioning life and society,"

Ashcroft’s mother would remarry and he would soon fell under the influence of his step father who was a big believer in a 17th and 18th century movement named rosicrucanism (rosie- crushianism)"Select magazine would write about his step father and i quote “Richard firmly believed his step dad could bend light rays around people to make them disappear, or raise the temperature in the room by thought alone.” Ashcroft who was still coming to terms with the death of his father and figuring out adding "It's difficult for people to understand that – they doubt it, calling you a lunatic,
