In this episode, Suge talks about how he valued giving back and describes the way he grew up in Compton. Suge opens up for the first time in a long time about Tupac and describes how hard Tupac worked to make Death Row a family and get everyone on the label involved with the making of All Eyez On Me. He discusses how he feels when he hears about rappers who have been killed and how the recent death of Takeoff from the Migos affected him. Suge pinpoints the communication breakdown that occurred between him and Snoop after Tupac died.

5:32 Suge takes us back to when he first moved into his original neighborhood in Compton. He runs down some of the guys and families he came up with and talks about the role his father played in pushing him

10:50 Suge talks about the first time he went on tour for The Chronic and shouts out the guys who he put on from his neighborhood

16:42 Suge talks about opening up a lowrider shop in Compton that was called “Let Me Ride” as a way to provide jobs and give back to the neighborhood

18:10 Suge says he can talk freely about Pac for the first time in a long time, and how Pac is finally getting justice

19:03 Suge explains why jealousy is worse than hate

19:45 Suge recalls a meeting with Tupac and how the name for the album All Eyez On Me was created

23:14 When Pac gets bigger than everyone on Death Row, the jealousy starts to kick in

24:23 Suge says he thinks jealousy is what ruined Death Row and says we should never have to go through this again

27:05 When Takeoff got killed it really hit home for Suge and inspired him to have an illustration made of him that he tried to send to Cardi B and Offset

29:48 Suge talks about how important it was that Death Row was the first place where you could see Bloods and Crips gang members working together and getting along together

30:48 After Suge went to jail in 1996, he wanted to put Snoop in position to lead the company. But they never had a chance to talk after Snoop got turned away at the visiting center

32:19 Suge addresses the NFL for promoting gang activity and not understanding the reality of how many people have lost their lives and are doing prison time

34:16 Suge talks about plans to make Death Row the biggest music distributor in the game

About The Killers:
The Killers are a Las Vegas-based four-piece who formed in 2003, featuring the talents of singer/keyboardist Brandon Flowers, drummer Ronnie Vanucci, guitarist Dave Keuning and bassist Mark Stoermer. The band has received countless accolades for their artistic achievement, including multiple Grammy nominations, American Music Award nominations, MTV Video Music Awards, NME Awards and more.Their first album, Hot Fuss, was released in 2004 to worldwide acclaim. The album contained the singles “Mr. Brightside” and “Somebody Told Me,” in addition to the anthemic song “All These Things That I’ve Done,” which has since been referenced by the likes of U2 and Coldplay. The band toured for two years straight behind Hot Fuss, playing more than four-hundred shows, and eventually returned to Vegas to begin to work on the follow-up album with legendary producers Alan Moulder and Flood. The result, a love letter of sorts to their hometown entitled Sam’s Town, was released in 2006 and spent forty-two weeks on the Billboard Top 200.A b-sides collection entitled Sawdust was released in 2007, followed by their third studio album, Day & Age, which was released to widespread critical praise in 2008, anchored by massive single “Human.”The Killers released Battle Bornin September 2012, which saw them expanding their world tour into countries they’ve never visited before, and finally were honored to perform at the world-renowned Wembley Arena, one of the most monumental and significant shows of their career. After a decade of making music, in November 2013, The Killers released a “Best Of” collection, Direct Hits, which featured two incredible new songs alongside classics from the band’s revered catalogue. The band, who have sold over twenty-five million albums worldwide, and headlined all of the world’s top festivals (Coachella, Lollapalooza, Glastonbury), released their newest studio album, Wonderful Wonderful, in September 2017, where it landed at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart the week of its release, as well a stopping the charts in the U.K. and Australia. The album is the band’s fifth consecutive number one in the U.K., and Brandon Flowers’ seventh U.K. number one overall.

Lyrics:
Somewhere in the middle, I
Think I lied a little, I
I said if we took it there, I wasn't gonna change
But that went out the window, yeah (Gonna break, gonna break)

I know that I seem a little stressed out
But you're here now, and you're turning me on
I wanna feel a different kinda tension
Yeah, you guessed it, the kind that's fun
Hate it when you leave me unattended
'Cause I miss ya, and I need your love
When my mind is runnin' wild
Could you help me slow it down?

Put my mind at ease
Pretty please
I need your hands on me
Sweet relief
Pretty please

Exactly where I want me, yeah
Underneath your body, yeah
If we take it further, I swear I ain't gonna break
So, baby, come try me
Baby, come find me
Baby, don't wind me up

I know that I seem a little stressed out
But you're here now, and you're turning me on
I wanna feel a different kinda tension
Yeah, you guessed it, the kind that's fun
Hate it when you leave me unattended
'Cause I miss ya, and I need your love
When my mind is runnin' wild
Could you help me slow it down?

Put my mind at ease
Pretty please
I need your hands on me
Sweet relief
Pretty
Put my mind at ease
Trickle down my spine
Oh, you look so pretty, please
Every single night, I need your hands on me
When your kisses climb
Oh, you give me sweet relief
Made me feel so pretty
Would you help me out, please?

Pretty
Please

The Recordium Presents: Thee Sinseers!

This is the 3rd and final song from our session with Thee Sinseers.

This could possibly be a catchier tune than their first track "Seems Like" which people are really loving.

Enjoy this track its a good one.

Lyrics:

Baby baby ,what you trying to do to me
Doing all the things that
You said youd never do to me
So tell me what's his name
Tell me what he likes to call you
Tell me how to fall
Out of love with you
Because I try (try try) to give you love
(Love love) but you keep lie lying and you keep running
So tell me ,tell me ,tell me, tell me who
And in the middle of the night when I'm all alone
I'll call you on the telephone
You keep telling me you care
When all i really wanna know
Is who he is

So tell me tell me tell me who....

Love dies young
And there's no resuscitation
Once it's done
No regeneration
It's a losing game that'll make you play your hand against your chest
Love dies young

Love dies young
And there's no reanimation
Once it's gone
No regeneration
It's a bitter kiss that'll make you wish you never had a taste

Love dies young
Love dies young
Please don't take my breath
Don't take my breath away
Love dies young

Love's so dumb
So what's the fascination
Leaves you numb
With a nasty reputation
When you lose your head and the lights go out
You'll never be the same

Love dies young
Love dies young
Please don't take my breath
Don't take my breath away
Love dies young

Never-ending cemeteries
Funeral parades
All your dreams are buried in their place

Love dies young
Please don't take my breath
Don't take my breath away
Love dies young

Love dies young
Love dies young
Please don't take my breath
Don't take my breath away
Love dies young

"Texas Flood (Live at the El Mocambo)" by Stevie Ray Vaughan

Stevie Ray Vaughan was a legendary blues guitarist and singer from Texas, known for his soulful playing and powerful vocals. He rose to fame in the 1980s with hits like "Pride and Joy", "Texas Flood", and "The Sky is Crying", which showcased his incredible guitar skills and deep love for the blues. Vaughan collaborated with many other artists throughout his career, including David Bowie (on the song "Let's Dance"), blues icon B.B. King (on the album "In Session") and his brother Jimmie Vaughan (on their “family Style” album). He was also heavily influenced by other blues legends like Albert King, Freddie King, and Jimi Hendrix, whose playing styles he incorporated into his own unique sound.

Well dark clouds are rollin' in
Man I'm standin' out in the rain
Well dark clouds are rollin' in
Man I'm standin' out in the rain
Yeah floodwater keep a rollin'
Man it's about to drive poor me insane

Lyrics:
She can kill with a smile
She can wound with her eyes
She can ruin your faith with her casual lies
And she only reveals what she wants you to see
She hides like a child
But she's always a woman to me

She can lead you to love
She can take you or leave you
She can ask for the truth
But she'll never believe
And she'll take what you give her as long as it's free
Yeah, she steals like a thief
But she's always a woman to me

Song lyrics:

I THOUGHT LOVE WAS
ONLY TRUE IN FAIRY TALES
MEANT FOR SOMEONE ELSE
BUT NOT FOR ME

LOVE WAS OUT TO GET ME
THAT'S THE WAY IT SEEMED
AND DISAPPOINTMENT HAUNTED
ALL MY DREAMS

AND THEN I SAW HER FACE
NOW I'M A BELIEVER
AND NOT A TRACE
OF DOUBT IN MY MIND

I'M IN LOVE
I'M A BELIEVER
I COULDN'T LEAVE HER
IF I TRIED

I THOUGHT LOVE WAS MORE
OR LESS A GIVEN THING
THE MORE I GAVE
THE LESS I GOT, OH, YEAH

WHAT'S THE USE IN TRYIN'
ALL YOU GET IS PAIN
WHEN I WANTED SUNSHINE
I GOT RAIN

AND THEN I SAW HER FACE
NOW I'M A BELIEVER
AND NOT A TRACE
OF DOUBT IN MY MIND

I'M IN LOVE
I'M A BELIEVER
I COULDN'T LEAVE HER
IF I TRIED

WHAT'S THE USE IN TRYIN'
ALL YOU GET IS PAIN
WHEN I WANTED SUNSHINE
I GOT RAIN

AND THEN I SAW HER FACE
NOW I'M A BELIEVER
AND NOT A TRACE
OF DOUBT IN MY MIND

I'M IN LOVE
I'M A BELIEVER
I COULDN'T LEAVE HER
IF I TRIED

AND THEN I SAW HER FACE
AND NOW I'M A BELIEVER
NOT A TRACE
OF DOUBT IN MY MIND

AND NOW I'M A BELIEVER
YEAH, YEAH, YEAH
YEAH, YEAH, YEAH...
NOW I'M A BELIEVER

AND THEN I SAW HER FACE
AND NOW I'M A BELIEVER

NOT A TRACE
OF DOUBT IN MY MIND

Lyrics:
[Verse 1]
I never know how to treat you
You think I love you but it ain't true
I'm walking away now
One step forward and back two

[Chorus 1]
I like to grab you by the hair
And hang you up from the heavens

[Verse 2]
I don't know how to let you go
Or if i should keep you
I don't know how to let you know
I really don't got a reason

[Chorus 2]
I like to grab you by the hair
And drag you to the devil

[Verse 3]
I never know why I push you
Trash you just to confuse you
I make a hole just to see how
See through clean I can cut you

[Chorus 1]
I like to grab you by the hair
And hang you up from the heavens

[Instrumental]

[Chorus 2]
I like to grab you by the hair
And sell you up to the devil

[Verse 4]
I never know what mood you be
Be mine, be kind, but be cruel to me
I'm walking away now
One step forward and back three

[Verse 5]
I never know what I'm gonna to do
I say I'm leaving but it ain't true
I got a lot I could do to you, yeah
Nothing you can do to stop it

The title track from The Zenith Passage's "Datalysium" album.
While far too many progressive and technical death metal bands are happy to walk the same path and stick to a tried-and-true sound, on their second full-length The Zenith Passage forge new and exhilarating territory. From start to finish, Datalysium is driven by imagination, and played by artists who have full command of their instruments, creating something that stands out of any pack while maintaining what made them such a riveting proposition in the first place. When asked to describe the record, the band do so vividly: "Imagine if Necrophagist and Meshuggah were married, and Cynic and Extol got married, then years later they went to a swingers party to spice up their relationships, which then became a regular thing. From this, they all had a kid together, no one knows who the biological father is, but that's cool because they're co-parenting. That kid then grows up, idolizing David Lynch, Ridley Scott and film noir. He then goes to film school for a couple of years, but drops out because he'd rather play synth music, but ends up broke and homeless. Then Datalysium would be that kid."

Datalysium
Music: McKinney Lyrics: Rydquist

Patiently, it awaits
Biding time, drifting away
The design taking shape
To condense its domain
An initiative instilling all things to bring on their own finality
To escape decay, transmute the bases and transcend
Bound disorderly, architecting the means to their end
Reorganizing into salient, definitive manifestation
Conceit is passed from the prime source
Material motivation
Salvation is promised comfort
Immaterial curation
All progression is a machination of amalgamation
Conglomerating the Anthropocene’s futile history
Human achievement - a system function reduced, nonexistent
To escape decay, transmute the bases and transcend
Bound disorderly, architecting the means to their end
Reorganizing into salient, definitive manifestation
Enveloped in a spectrum of diversion
The unity that they seek serves not the peace they envision
Conceit is passed from the prime source
Material motivation
Salvation is promised comfort
Immaterial curation
All progression is a machination of amalgamation
Free to worship at the altar of perceived choice
Be it man or beast or machine or what comes after
None are their own master
All will become absorbed, returned to the source

Bobby Hatfield of the Righteous Brothers performs his classic hit, "Unchained Melody." This is a live performance on NBC-TV's The Andy Williams Show in 1965 when the song was hot on the top 40 charts.

The Righteous Brothers were a duo comprised of Bill Medley (the tall, dark-haired guy with the bass-baritone voice) and Bobby Hatfield (seen as a solo performer in this video). When the two performed together on such hits as "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling" and "(You're My) Soul and Inspiration," magic happened. Their two very different voices created amazing harmonies that helped to define the sound that came to be known as "Blue-Eyed Soul."

But when Bobby Hatfield soloed, as he did here, his incredible range was on full display.

Sadly, Bobby died in 2003, but not until after he and Bill Medley were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. RIP, Bobby.

I consider this one of the two or three best live vocal performances ever captured on television, and I'm so glad I was able to restore it. Obviously, there are limitations to what can be done to restore footage this old, but with a few digital tricks to color correct and reduce some noise in the footage, I was able to improve it a bit. Other versions of this performance are on YouTube, but some of them have the picture and sound out of sync, and I have fixed that here. Plus, I have augmented the sound to make it really pop.

I hope you enjoy this performance as much as I have.
