La Evolución del Reggaetón (1990 - 2021) | Historia del Reggaetón Underground al Pop Urbano Hotney 6 意见 • 2 年前

La evolución del reggaetón boricua (del 1993 al 2012) y del reggaetón mundial (del 2012 al verano de 2021) a través de 116 canciones cuidadosamente seleccionadas según su popularidad en términos de reproducciones en YouTube y Spotify.

Este vídeo NO INCLUYE dancehall, reggae panameño, dembow dominicano, rap, trap, electro latino, ni otros estilos distintos al reggaetón. Para entender los orígenes de este género, les cuento un poco de la historia:

• El reggae se origina en Jamaica en los años 1960s y se extiende a Panamá en los 1970s a través de la comunidad jamaicana inmigrante que reside en el país.
• En 1979 aparece la primera banda de reggae en español en Panamá, iniciando un movimiento de versionar canciones jamaicanas en español.
• En 1984 se populariza un nuevo estilo de reggae en Jamaica: el dancehall, producido enteramente con sonidos electrónicos y con ritmos rápidos destinados al baile.
• A finales de 1980s, surge la primera generación de cantantes panameños que versionan canciones de dancehall en español: Nando Boom, Pocho Pan, El General...
• En 1990 aparece en Puerto Rico el primer cantante de rap en español, Vico C, quien también lanza algunos temas de dancehall.
• En 1992 se inicia un movimiento underground en las discotecas de Puerto Rico, influenciado por el dancehall panameño y el rap en español. Es en este punto donde se considera que nace el reggaetón.

A partir de entonces, el reggaetón ha seguido evolucionando a través de diferentes etapas estilísticas y de popularidad.

• 1992 - 2000: Época underground. El reggaetón comienza como una fusión de ritmos de rap y dancehall, quedando finalmente el dembow como el ritmo característico de este nuevo género.
• 2000 - 2008: Época dorada. DJ Blass y DJ Nelson revolucionan el reggaetón al producir ritmos más lentos (pasando de 115 BPM a 100 BPM) con sonidos más sofisticados. Es en esta época cuando el reggaetón empieza a llamarse como tal y adquiere popularidad mundial.
• 2008 - 2015: Época de decaimiento. El reggaetón sufre un receso en popularidad debido al auge de otros géneros, como el electro latino, de ritmo más rápido (120 - 130 BPM) y producción más electrónica. Mientras tanto, en Colombia nace una generación de artistas de reggaetón pop.
• 2015 - 2017: Época mainstream. El reggaetón pop, renombrado como pop urbano, se convierte en un fenómeno mundial gracias a los nuevos artistas colombianos y a las colaboraciones de estrellas consagradas del pop. Al mismo tiempo, el trap latino comienza a sonar globalmente.
• 2017 - ACTUAL: Época post-trap. La nueva ola de cantantes procedentes del trap da un nuevo giro al reggaetón, trayendo un sonido más crudo con temáticas más explícitas.

Si notas que falta una canción importante, posiblemente sea por uno de estos motivos:

1) La canción no entra dentro del género del reggaetón.

2) La canción no tiene los números suficientes para entrar. Entended que he seleccionado un número limitado de canciones por año para que el vídeo no dure una eternidad, y en esa selección solo han entrado las canciones más populares de cada año.
