We wanted to bring this feeling back to you, to inspire and accelerate protecting this beautiful and pristine earth that gives us so much!

ANTARCTICA I LOVE YOU: Global dance movement, DAYBREAKER, launches new art-forward climate series WOW IT’S NOW and features BLOND:ISH (Founder, Bye Bye Plastic) on a historic sunset dance and art forward carbon-negative experience in Antarctica to inspire deeper awe and connection to Earth and the growing climate crisis.

The boat was in motion for the duration of the set and hundreds of meters from land at all times to minimize noise disturbance to wildlife.

Tourists will continue going to Antarctica as long as permitted (70,000+ people/year), but they can change how they go. Hopefully we can inspire more charters/ships to travel like this and for future travelers to reconsider going to Antarctica and other fragile destinations unless they are prepared to do the work. We travelled on the most environmentally-friendly ship available for Antarctica charters, The Atlas World Navigator expedition ship.

👉🏻 The first of its size to utilize hydro jet propulsion, allowing it to be anchorless and minimizing underwater noise and stress on marine wildlife.
👉🏻 Repurposes, recycles and reclaims all waste, and a scrubber system in the funnel minimizes emission particulates
👉🏻 Bunkers the lowest sulfur marine fuel, and a hybrid power generation and management engine delivers maximum fuel efficiency by consuming as low as one-fifth the fuel compared to conventional engines
👉🏻 Carbon Offset 2X total CO2 emissions for all 168 guests
👉🏻 Emitted 827.61 tonnes and Carbon Offset 1,655 tonnes of CO2
👉🏻 450 tonnes from the chartered ship, Atlas World Navigator
👉🏻 377.61 tonnes from the chartered plane (round trip)
👉🏻 Emissions calculated and offset through cooleffect.org funding projects supporting methane destruction and reforestation
👉🏻 Founders/CEOs onboard of 15 companies pledged to be carbon neutral or negative, to be tracked via a 3rd party auditor, as a result of this expedition
👉🏻 Workshops onboard led to the Wow It’s Now Treaty which attendees are signing in commitment to personal & professional climate pledges, a requirement for future W.I.N. invites.
👉🏻 Raised $400K+ for Food Fix through an onboard auction in service of evolving the regenerative agricultural practices via the Farm Bill
👉🏻 Hosted 10 climate-focused keynotes and workshops from top environmentalists, including both the Founder and Executive Chairman of Project Drawdown, Dr. Mark Hyman, BLOND:ISH, and marine biologist and climate scientists on the ship Expedition Guide Team.
