Orphelin de mère, détesté par un père brutal et ivrogne, Glenn Tyler cache sa sensibilité sous un aspect dur et fermé. Story:🏰
When a queen dies, the king makes her promise that she will only take as her new wife a woman who is more beautiful and better built than she is. After her death, the king, overwhelmed with sadness, tells his daughter that he never wants to see her again. Time passes and the king is obliged to remarry to produce an heir. Not breaking his promise, he begins to search for his future queen, only none of the women in the kingdom are beautiful enough for him to marry. The only person able to rival the beauty of his late wife is his own daughter, and the king asks her to marry him.

To escape this incestuous union and on the advice of her godmother, the princess asks her father three times for her dowry: first she asks for a dress the color of time, then a dress the color of the moon and finally a dress the color of the sun. But against all odds, he always manages to offer them to her. She then asks him to sacrifice his donkey, which produces gold coins as dung, his most precious treasure, and the king complies. The princess then fled the castle, wearing the donkey's skin. She takes with her her toilet and her most beautiful dresses.

Donkey Skin moves to a small village in a neighboring kingdom and works as a slut, living in a simple hut. The prince of another kingdom, visiting the village, comes to her house and sees her, adorned in her sun-colored dress. Dazzled by her beauty, he falls in love with her and returns to the palace dying of love. He then asks Peau d'âne to make him a cake. While baking the cake, she let her ring slip into it. The prince, almost choking on it, immediately asks that all the women and maidens of the country, from the most noble to the most humble, come to the castle to try on the ring. None of them can pass the ring. So they bring Donkey Skin to the castle. Her finger enters the ring, her donkey skin falls off and reveals her most beautiful dress. The prince can then marry her, the celebrations for their wedding last three months and let all the greatest princes of the world parade.

Her father, who was also invited, realized his mistake and asked his daughter for forgiveness, giving her his blessing for her marriage and her new life as queen.

In this episode of People’s Party, Talib Kweli and Jasmin Leigh sit down with rapper, writer and true curator of the culture -- Jadakiss. This comprehensive discussion kicks off with talk of Jada and Talib's shared birth year of '75, at the ideal age to witness hop-hop's biggest points of evolution, both having grown up in its epicenter of New York City. They also discuss Talib's appreciation of the Lox for showing him love at the beginning of his career, while they occupied different lanes in regards to mainstream success. They reflect on Jada's growing up in Yonkers, and the emcees that inspired him most during those early years. The trio also explores what went into the makings of some of the classic recordings Jadakiss was involved with like "All About The Benjamins", "24 Hours To Live", "We'll Always Love Big Poppa", as well as albums such as "The Last Kiss", "Kiss Tha Game Goodbye", "Top 5 Dead or Alive", "Freddy vs. Jason", and his latest project "Ignatius" -- dedicated to his close friend and business partner Ice Pick Jay, who recently passed. Jada describes the challenges he had while recording that album, at times fighting back tears.

As the convo continues, the trio discusses the infamous Ruff Ryder studio sessions and the high level of competitive energy that kept everyone at the top of their respective games. They also touch on The Lox's strong family-like foundation that kept them close throughout the years, and Jada is asked about his short-lived beefs with 50 Cent and Beanie Sigel, as well as how they got squashed.

Deep into the episode, Jadakiss, Kweli, and Jaz discuss Jada's close friendship with Notorious B.I.G. and his role as one of the few, true custodians of Biggie's legacy. Jada also gives insight into the "Free The Lox Campaign", the creation of D-Block Records, linking up with Gang Starr on "Rite Where You Stand", and his Grammy-nominated record "Why." Talib goes on to name his top 5 Jadakiss verses -- while urging the People's Party audience to do the same -- and Jada gives the whole truth on the story circulating about Mike Tyson supposedly stealing his seat at the recent Biggie tribute in Atlantic City.
