Lyrics:

Yoooooo!
Chubb Rock comin back hard for nineteen nine-TY!
Word up, word up
Kick this out to my man Rob Swinga, Hot Dog Dinky
My manager Ev Lover y'knahmsayin? Dr. No, here we go..

It's the Hitman, yes the Hitman, yo ya know it
The thirst quencher, the man on the sequencer
He was scared to kick a sixteen bar, he's not a rap star
Not saying that I am, but I'm the jam
I'm going to kick a little not a Dr. Suess riddle
No cats in hats, fox in some socks
But to the DJ jocks check your clocks
Half past what? Time to bust nut
Not a pistachio; he uses a Casio keyboard
And a Tascam board
To kick in the P-50, get nifty
Born with the gift, time to get riffed
Not with the manufacturing of a spliff
He never rolled one; never sold none
The beats give me the high that brought fame to us
And, how we gonna kick it, How?
Just the two of us!

Chubb has been dope since he came out the shaft of his pops' wood
Yes I'm good!
Yo he shouted and he plopped into the uterus
And they knew this about me; was gonna be a dope MC
When I get on the mic my windpipe strikes and ignites
A lyric when you hear it you fear it and like
Chubb is not a man to get souped like Campbell
I'm the man with the plan and my jam sells
Like a whore, in the store, hardcore and more
On the tour makin money you never saw
I don't like dreaming, never ever beam and
Never involved with girls like like scheming
Or skiing or toboggan sledding, cause I'm shredding
Any thoughts of a wedding, so Helen, Keller
Listen to the rules and
Me and Hitman Howie Tee is all about coolin
She went buckwild, screamed, yelled, hollered
I told her I loved her and then she did a solid
Did it real good like a nice girl should
Back polish waxed up the hood
Yo Hitman Howie Tee you should have seen her on me
She got all Vanessa Del Rio on me
But after she slept cause I had nothin left
On the Martin Butler tip, yes half step
But yo cousin Howie Tee and me
Our love is all about making a dope LP
That will crush and sell and bum rush
Don't hush, how we gonna do it How?
Just the two of us!

2Pac - All About U (Dirty) (Music Video) HD Hotney 1 意见 • 4 年前

Music video to 2Pac performing All About U featuring Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Hussein Fatal & Yaki Kadafi. From the album All Eyez On Me © 1996 DRR

Lyrics:
Ah, yeah! Hahaha (Yeah!)
It's all about you, one time!
(I'ma say it's all about you, baby, yeah!)
Haha, for the bitches that think it's all about you
It's all about you! (This Dru Down in the house
With my boy 'Pizznac, you know what I'm sayin'?)
It's all about you
(Yeah, I'm gon' say it's all about you
But you know I'm lyin' though, hah! Yeah)

[2Pac:]
You probably crooked as the last trick
Want to laugh about how I got my ass caught up
With this bad bitch?
Thinkin' I had her, but she had me in the long run
It's just my luck, I'm stuck with fuckin' with the wrong one
Wise decisions, based on lies we livin'
Scandalous times, this game's like my religion
You could be rollin' with a thug
Instead you with this weak scrub, lookin' for some love
In every club, I see you starin' like you want it
Well, baby, if you got it, better flaunt it
Let the liquor help you get up on it
I'm still tipsy from last night
Bumpin' these walls as I pause, addicted to the fast life
I try to holla, but you tell me you taken
Sayin' you ain't impressed with the money I'm makin'
Guess it's true what they tellin' me
Fresh out of jail, life's hell for a black celebrity
So that's the reason why I call, and maybe you with it
Fantasies of us sweatin', can I hit it?
Addicted to the things you do
But still true what I'm sayin', boo, ‘cause this is all about you

[Nate Dogg (2Pac):]
Every other city we go, every other video
(It's all about you)
No matter where I go, I see the same ho
(Yeah, nigga)
Every other city we go, every other video
(It's all about you)
No matter where I go, I see the same ho

[2Pac:]
I make a promise if you go with me, just let me know
I'll have you hollerin' my name out before I leave
Nobody loves me, I'm a thug nigga
I only hung out with the criminals and drug dealers
I love niggas, ‘cause we comin' from the same place
Witness me holla at a hoochie, see how quick the game takes
How can I tell her I'm a playa? And I don't even care
Creep low, weed smoke's in the air
Everywhere I go, it's all about the groupie hoes
Waitin' for niggas at the end of every show
I just seen you in my friend's video
Could never put a bitch before my friends, so here we go
Follow the leader and peep the drama that I'm goin' through
It's all about you, yeah, nigga, it's all about you

[Nate Dogg (2Pac):]
Every other city we go, every other video
(It's all about you)
No matter where I go, I see the same ho
(Yeah, nigga)
Every other city we go, every other video
(It's all about you)
No matter where I go, I see the same ho

[Hussein Fatal:]
Is you sick from the dick, or is it the flu?
It ain't about you or your bitch-ass crew
Every other city we go and every video
Explain to a nigga why I see the same shitty ho
You think it's all about you? Well, boo
I gets down like Dru, and my nasty new niggas, too

[Yaki Kadafi:]
You couldn't hold me back, it'd take a fatter track
A lyrical attack, perhaps, it was a visual bluff
When I started to snaps all your rode 'em swoll
Straight in control, flows'll fold, while hoes cold stroll
Hold the set, I told Dramacy' go in next
Gold diggin', cold diggin' a gold Rolex

[Hussein Fatal:]
I slide in easily, try a grizzly
Sluts know the cuts, I came to fuck, try skeezin' me
Runnin' up in ya just like Bruce Jenner when I bend ya
At the most, I fucked a bitch
From the West Coast to West Virginia

[Nate Dogg (2Pac):]
Every other city we go, every other video
(It's all about you)
No matter where I go, I see the same ho
Every other city we go, every other video
(It's all about you)
No matter where I go, I see the same ho
Every other city we go, every other video
(It's all about you)
No matter where I go, I see the same ho
Every other city we go, every other video
No matter where I go, I see the same ho

[Snoop Doggy Dogg:]
I'm tellin' ya, it's the same old shit
I mean, goddamn, you know what I'm sayin'?
I'm sittin' back, watchin' Montell Jordan video
I see the same bitch who was in my homeboy Nate Dogg video
Then I flip the channel
I'm checkin' out my homeboy 2Pac video
I see the same bitch that was in my video, you knahmsayin'?
And then, you nahmsayin', what make that even mo' fucked up
I'm watchin' a Million Man March
And I see the same bitch, on the Million Man March
That was in the homeboy Warren G video
I mean, damn, everywhere I look
Everywhere I go, I see the same ho'
Don't get mad, I'm only bein' real, yeah

Lyrics:
You 'bout to feel the chronicles of a bionical lyric
lyrically splitting dismissing
I'm on a mission of just hitting
now it's written and kitten hitting wit mittens
I'm missing wishing man listen
I glisten like sun and water while fishing.
Bust the move and then swerve
Serve words with nerve embedded I said it word
Damn, you nerd man, you heard
Coming from the town of Illy and alleys are
full of Phillies and Rallys suckers get
Silly as Sally then found in alleys, I'm rowdy really
So here we go now,
Holla if ya hear me though, come and feel me flow
Never mixing with tricking brothers bitching
Over fixin's that ain't fitting to be hitting.
On nothing splitting things that's bitten
And getting written off
Like a fatter bad bladder boy ya pissing me off
Before you even started so what
So long see you fly by my try how else
Could I say it when you play it try boom bye bye.
So here we go now,
Holla if ya hear me though, come and feel me flow
So here we go now,
Holla if ya hear me though, come and feel me flow
The flow pro poetical with skills only
A vet'll know better know where's
The wetter flow that's on point like
Decimals manhandling new crews
Partying with the Zoo Crew
Looking for the pink in poo poo.
I thought you knew too stone style is of stamina
Jamming ta while we planning ta jam
We bust plus we're the party
Amateur damager managing damaging mics
Men and even mannequins.
You're a fan again now I want to know whose the man again?
Naughty's back like vertibrates word to hey-a-ho
The way I show you pray I flow
Steady breaking to the boogie so bang time
To slang bang and watch all the poo tang tangs hang
So here we go now,
Holla if ya hear me though, come and feel me flow
So here we go now,
Holla if ya hear me though, come and feel me flow
Play and Kay'll break the body of a beat
The beat the break into boogie
Firm and fully chase bass lines like bullies
All we want to know is if your body want to party
It's 'nough poo tang tang for everybody
So hip up and split up get up
Get up your wit up souped up put your dukes up
No guts set up for sit ups flip up watch us rip up.
Shakes shows until they fizz up
Rizz up like your with us if not zip up
You lip up whip up.
Hits with ransom's foul styles get and ones
We come back cause we heard
Hip hop needed another anthem
Black like Noah in fact and for ya
If we was back in the days with the Drifters
We would've been known as the Flowers
Bevin these since the seventies
Find me so we went crazy in the eighties
So we won't kiss heinies in the nineties
Oops the Naughty's troop in sections of forties
So clap your hands and hold your shorty I'm Naughty.
So here we go now,
Holla if ya hear me though, come and feel me flow
So here we go now,
Holla if ya hear me though, come and feel me flow

How to Play Jazz on the Drums - Introductory/Beginner Drum Lesson Hotney 6 意见 • 4 年前

https://learnjazzdrums.co/

Feathering the Bass Drum: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PO_YkRJmO40&t=42s

Comping Course (Coming Soon): https://learnjazzdrums.co/comping

I’m going to break down the basic Jazz pattern into 4 easy steps. Click the link above download a free PDF of everything I’m demonstrating in this video.

Step 1: The Ride Cymbal

The ride cymbal is the calling card for all Jazz drummers and is vital to the feel of the music as a whole. For the last 60 years or so, the ride cymbal has been a standard in all Jazz.

So when you’re first learning this, make sure that you are playing solid triplets on the ride cymbal pattern. Don’t use a triplet subdivision on a metronome, but keep them going in your head.

There are two main schools of thought with playing the ride cymbal. The first is to take the quarter notes, and then add the skip notes in between as a pickup. This is more in line with what I learned from Peter Erskine, and it can be a very effective way to keep a strong quarter-note pulse.

The second school of thought for the ride cymbal is what I got from Jeff Hamilton, and it comes out of the lineage of Mel Lewis and John Von Ohlen. The idea here is to be as loose as possible, and treat the 3 note pattern as one big fluid motion that starts on beat 2.

Depending on the style of Jazz, and the style of drumming you prefer, you’ll find your own voice. I usually find that it takes longer for students to develop the loose, Jeff Hamilton/Mel Lewis/John Von Ohlen 3 note ride cymbal technique, but when they do, it’s incredibly worthwhile and opens up a wide variety of possibilities on the drums. However, if this is literally your first time playing Jazz, it might be best to just start with quarter notes.

Step 2: The Hi-Hat

The hi-hat is played with your foot on beats 2 and 4, perfectly in sync with the ride cymbal pattern, like so

Pretty self-explanatory, but incredibly vital to Jazz drumming. Make sure that you’re able to both play the hi-hat heal down, and heal up.

At fast tempos, heal up with come in handy, because your leg will get in a flow bouncing in time with the fast tempo.

But you don’t want to only be able to play heal up. So make sure that you practice all tempos heal down as well. Both have their sonic advantages that you’ll discover over time.

Since there is so much weight coming down on the pedal with your entire leg with heal up, you’ll notice a crisper, snappier, and sometimes louder hi-hat sound. Incredibly effective when you need it.

On the other side, since there is much less weight coming down on the pedal with heal down, you’ll notice a longer, more legato, wide, and sometimes relaxed hi-hat sound, which sometimes ends up softer. Also incredibly effective when you need it.

Again, if this is literally your first time playing Jazz drums. Go ahead and start with just quarter notes on the ride, and 2/4 on the hi-hat heal down to get the coordination going.

Step 3: Feathering the Bass Drum

The bass drum feathers on all four beats, to blend with the acoustic bass that is commonplace in most Jazz. Make sure that the beater comes off of the drum, your heal is down, and the dynamic is super quiet. This is something that shouldn’t be heard but should be felt.

For more on the subject, click here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PO_YkRJmO40&t=42s

Now, many great Jazz drummers choose not to feather the bass drum, but the vast majority prefer to do it. So ultimately it’s up to do whether or not you do it, but it’s important to learn, and be able to do regardless of whether you end up choosing to use it or not down the road.

But, once you have that down, we can add some snare.

Step 4: Snare Drum Comping

Referring to the PDF linked above, there are 4 comping examples to add on top of the ride, hi-hat, and bass drum.

So that’s just 3 basic comping patterns, and when you listen to or play Jazz, those are always changing, since Jazz is improvised.

There’s no book that will fully teach you how to comp, and if you only rely on a book, you’ll never truly play Jazz correctly. You have to listen to understand it, a lot.

To start out with, I’d recommend listening to the albums Relaxin with the Miles Davis Quintet, with Philly Joe Jones on drums, and Kind of Blue by Miles Davis, with Jimmy Cobb on drums. These albums are full of great comping ideas, and they’re just great, fairly simple albums to play along with as well.

Then, head over to https://learnjazzdrums.co/comping to check out our full eBook with hundreds of comping examples and exercises to learn and practice.

This is hard stuff at first! So cut yourself some slack! 4 limbs doing different things, and making sure they’re in sync, at different dynamics and they feel good!

Her incredible reaction when I play a song that she wrote Hotney 4 意见 • 4 年前

👇 Learn the story of this video, and find some links that may interest you

I went to Santa Monica, CA to ask random people to sing with me for my series called "Sing With Me." That's when I met Allie. While trying to find a song for Allie to sing, I found out that Allie writes her own songs. Since I really like the idea of guests on my show singing songs they write, I asked if I could listen and learn one of her songs. At first, she was apprehensive about having me do that. But eventually, she became open to me learning a song of hers called "Dear Mr. Rogers," a dedication to her favorite TV personality Fred Rogers. He was the host of the show called "Mr. Rogers Neighborhood." This show aired from 1968 to 2001, and Mr. Rogers passed away in 2003.

It took me about 3 minutes to learn her song, and we performed it in this video. I asked her how she felt after singing that song, and she said "I always feel happy singing." I'm glad I was able to give her that experience. (Here's the song ON YOUTUBE: https://youtu.be/WIBJfx45he8)

As a musician, I'm all about creating musical experiences that have people feeling happy and free, and that's why the "Sing With Me" series exists. Since 2018, I have asked thousands of random people to sing with me on camera. A lot of people have said no, some have said no initially but changed their minds to yes, and some have said yes right away. I ask these people to sing with one purpose: to create a way for them to experience a sense of happiness and freedom they did not feel before. And much of the time, this actually works (and that makes ME happy).
