Globally-revered turntablist DJ Yoda swaps out the vinyl for Pioneer DJ's brand new DDJ-REV7 controller this week in The Lab LDN. The British DJ, known for his unsullied blends between hip hop, house, 80s pop, AV shows and synth-driven tracks, floats effortlessly between genres with a knack for scratching - and a keen eye for selecting. Having previously taken home a DMC DJ award under the scratch category, the DJ now heads up the panel of judges on the world championship competition year after year seeing in the next generation of fresh talent.

This week, DJ Yoda takes a spin on brand new decks. The DDJ-REV7 controller by Pioneer DJ boasts two scratch-style jog wheels with on-jog display emulating a professional DJM-S mixer and PLX turntable setup. With a whole new and improved set of features perfect for open format and scratch DJs everywhere, DJ Yoda gives this brand new controller the first spin this week in the Lab.

About Rüfüs Du Sol:
Rüfüs Du Sol, stylised as RÜFÜS DU SOL and formerly known as simply Rüfüs (stylized RÜFÜS) from 2010 to 2018, is an Australian group from Sydney, that consists of Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon George and James Hunt. Their debut album Atlas peaked at number one in Australia, while their second album Bloom debuted atop the Australian albums chart in early 2016. Their single "You Were Right" won the ARIA Award for Best Dance Release in 2015. While still known as Rüfüs elsewhere, they performed as Rüfüs Du Sol in the United States because Rufus was already taken. In 2018 they changed their name to Rüfüs Du Sol internationally.

They have performed at the Byron Bay Bluesfest in NSW in 2013, Byron Bay's Splendour in the Grass in 2014, Electric Forest Festival at Double JJ Resort in 2016 and 2018, Mountain Sounds in 2017 in NSW, Coachella in 2016, 2017, and 2019, as well as Field Day on New Years Day in Sydney in 2019.

Tony Guerra nace en la ciudad de Caracas, Venezuela. Desde que era un niño la musica ha hecho parte de su esencia ya que su padre era un promotor y percusionista de banda en los años 80’s y 90’s y partir de este legado musical es que decidió empezar la suya en su adolescencia. Rodeando los años del 2006 Tony decide experimentar con algunas sonidos cálidos de la musica electronica en pequeños clubes y pasillos, compartiendo una alta variedad de musica, para 2008 tony decide crear en compañía de sus amigos el colectivo musical “The Deep Party” lo cual en su travesía inició sus estudios como producción musical y a logrado firmar con multiples sellos hasta el punto de que el mismo poseer su propia discografía.

Es un artista que ha participado en importantes clubs y festivales legendarios del mundo tales como: Resistance, Partai, Wynwood Factory Miami, Bahrein Buenos Aires, Lost Beach Ecuador, Koko Madrid entre muchos mas. Actualmente Tony esta pinchando en muchos países, desde España, Ibiza, Madrid, Valencia, EE.UU, Miami, New York, Colombia y Buenos Aires son algunas de las ciudades que han podido deleitarse con su gusto musical. Tony se ha convertido en un artista con mucha aspiración al éxito en el campo de la producción musical, en el año 2017 fue galardonado por la academia Premios Pepsi Music en su 5ta Edicion como mejor Disco de Musica Dance Del Año 2017 y nominado a mejor Artista Tech House 2019 por la revista Vicious Music Awars.

2001 Channel 4 documentary, presented by Boy George, looking at the history and legacy of the UK acid house, rave and clubbing culture since the 1980s.
The program goes into detail on the way UK society and attitudes changed after the dawn of acid house culture and, perhaps, more importantly the introduction of chemical of choice, ecstasy to the party diet of the young people of Britain.
Tony Wilson, Irvine Welsh, Danny Rampling, Mike Pickering, Paul Oakenfold, CJ Mackintosh and Nicky Holloway all feature; as well as the kids who were there at the time from dealers to clubbers. Ibiza, Shoom, the Hacienda and the Criminal Justice Bill all featured properly too.
