Arsenio Hall: The Untold Story of Snoop Dogg & Tupac's TV Debut | SWAY’S UNIVERSE Hotney 6 Просмотры • 6 месяцы тому назад

Get ready for a masterclass in entertainment history with the one and only Arsenio Hall. In this exclusive sit-down on Sway in the Morning, the late-night icon discusses his journey from a young magician in Ohio to becoming a best-selling author with his new memoir.

Arsenio opens up about the early days of his groundbreaking show and how he risked his career to give a platform to hip-hop culture when no one else would. He shares incredible stories about fighting the networks to book NWA, witnessing Snoop Doggs very first television freestyle, and his close bond with legends like Tupac Shakur and Eddie Murphy.

Throughout the conversation, Arsenio reflects on the power of manifestation and the influence of his father, a Baptist preacher who shaped his work ethic. He also clears the air regarding the end of his original show, the truth behind the historic Minister Louis Farrakhan interview, and why he chose to walk away at the height of his fame. From the making of Coming to America to his advice for the next generation of creators, this is an interview you cannot afford to miss.

Lyrics
I'm too scared to fall asleep
Never know what dreams I'll make
Will it be too much for me
Like it is when I'm awake

There's a monster in my mind
He needs somewhere safe to breathe, so do I
and even late at night

I hold hands with him sometimes
when I need a friend, he's there by my side
The monster in my mind

All the wasted therapy
All the walls are closing in
I could tell you where I’ve been
But you won’t believe me when I say

There's a monster in my mind
He needs somewhere safe to breathe, so do I
and even late at night

I hold hands with him sometimes
when I need a friend, he's there by my side
The monster in my mind

There's a monster in my mind
He needs somewhere safe to breathe, so do I
and even late at night

I hold hands with him sometimes
when I need a friend, he's there by my side
The monster in my mind

SHELVED AT NUMBER ONE: She Gave Def Jam A #1 Hit, So They Erased Her Forever. #NikkiD Hotney 9 Просмотры • 6 месяцы тому назад

SHELVED AT NUMBER ONE: Before the massive queens of Hip-hop took over, there was Nikki D—the undisputed First Lady of Def Jam Records. She brought raw street credibility to the label and gave them a #1 Billboard Hot Rap Single with "Daddy's Little Girl."

But instead of crowning her their Queen, the industry committed a tragic identity murder. Def Jam forced the hardcore MC to soften her image into a pop star, and when the industry shifted, they shelved her completely. This is the dark, untold reality of how a pioneering female genius was mismanaged and erased from hip-hop history.
