Travis Scott Tours a $65M Mansion, Talks Architecture, Movies, 'Utopia' Tour, & More | Hotney 8 Streams • 9 months ago

For Rolling Stone's February 2026 cover story, #travisscott tours an 18,000-square-foot brutalist mansion in Beverly Hills owned by the founder of Oakley Sunglasses that's for sale for $65,000,000. One of rap's biggest superstars talks to Senior Music Editor Jeff Ihaza about his big plans for the future, his favorite movies, how #architecture inspires him (and his goals of studying it), and a lot more.

Travis Scott on his love for architecture: "I want to go to school eventually and study engineering and architecture. It's not even about the school, it's about learning. I thought about Berkeley or maybe like Harvard? They have a good architecture school. I like spaces. I love experiences. I love things that make you come alive. Certain things are inspirations, whether it's like cars, whether it's furniture, shoes, clothes, whatever. They're all inspiration and such. They can give you a drive or wake you up to push you to go do something."

Travis Scott on where his 'Utopia' world tour felt the craziest: "South Korea was crazy. Man, that was my first time I've ever been there, period. That shit was different. Johannesburg was fire. Europe, the whole Europe...every place was next level. South Korea, I said that because it took me by surprise. I didn't expect it. It was my first time being there. Fans were just going crazy. You would have thought you was in like Manchester or something, or London or something. Even like China, India, you know...nuts. Maybe I'm just saying that now because it was the last thing or most recent. South America was insane. Just seeing different walks of lives and people that just enjoy the same thing and idolize the same thing as you and other people as far as like music and experience. I know I just named nine different places, that's why it's not fair. We all won."

Travis Scott on keeping movie theaters open: "This is what I say to Ted [Sarandos, Netflix CEO]: You can't kill theaters man. I love watching movies at the house. It's cool for people, if you can't get to the theater, get it at the crib, it's something about being able to be at the house and being in your own little comfort sh*t. But the theaters is so important, it's like concerts is so important...Going and being able to get that surround. All the people that spend so much time: sound design, even just the visual coloring, the lenses...it's so much details that goes into shooting a film. I'm not saying that the TVs are taking that experience away but the whole theatrical experience, you need that."

Never Change Lyrics
Understand it’s not about the size of your circle, it’s about loyalty that’s in it
You see, nothing can stop a squad that’s dedicated, fighting for the same mission
Focused on the same vision
Does your circle have that type of commitment?
Are they happy for you when you winning?
Or is the more you do better, the more they get distant?

I told my brothers from the jump I got love for you both (LOX)
And all them n***** lookin’ up to us is watchin’ our growth
And all them hatin’ m*********, not even close
And all that money on the gram they show is not what they gross
They got a nice family at home, but that’s not who they post (why)
Ain’t too many real n***** like us left on the coast
You know (New York), I’m supposed to make you proud, not hate me
If I ain’t around, pray for me
I’m hearing bulls*** lately
Why does energy feel so funny?
Like you lent a n Rockefeller start-up money (oh word)
When you was moving weight, you ain’t know a n****
Now every time we talk, you call me big bro
(Aye yo big bro hit me up)
I was ready, but you didn’t wanna show a n****
So we gonna keep it like that from the get-go
I ain’t smoking, I ain’t drinking with you at my show
You can’t get close enough to find out what you need to know, n****

All the feelings changing from loving right into hate
Oh, it’s hard to take it when friends turn into fake
Oh, you’re like a stranger now
Didn’t see it going that way
I thought that things would never change, never change, never change

If it ain’t Louch or Kiss
I’m expecting a flip
I never take it personal
I’m accepting the s***
Yeah, I tried to give them jewels
They neglected the s***
Never put me in a place of holding weapons and s***
Yeah, I’m living off experience (LOX)
Told you I’m a Jedi
I could smoke a J and touch the top of the pyramids
F*** with Trinity, die—dead serious
I still remember the oath, I’m not delirious (I do)
Group never broke up
This game you can soak up
Before rap, we kept straps and blew coke up
I know you heard the stories
Couple n***** is poked up
F*** about your money, my n****
Hold your look up
Yeah, is it love if it ain’t love?
It’s bigger than dirty money and bank stubs
Showed y’all n***** loyalty—thank us
Above number one when you rank us

All the feelings changing from loving right into hate
Oh, it’s hard to take it when friends turn into fake
Oh, you’re like a stranger now
Didn’t see it going that way
I thought that things would never change, never change, never change

They done seen us
L.O.X.
Ha ha

Our dreams turned into reality, then came to a halt
It was part of the business though, it wasn’t our fault (nah)
Times got darker, we just got brighter
The love got faker, and we just got tighter
Back against the wall—s***, we was all fighters
Hustle all day, studio all-nighters
We were skipping class, chipping in for gas
89 regular, etc., etc.
Nobody else got us—we got us, money can’t divide us
Came from the riders
Dropped us off in the pot, the hard rises
GPS start acting up, then God guides us
Yeah, I catch a bullet for my n*****
If I got it in, then I up it—I’ma pull it for my n*****
Yeah, if they around, then I know I’m covered
Real brothers, and our mothers really know each other

All the feelings changing from loving right into hate
Oh, it’s hard to take it when friends turn into fake
Oh, you’re like a stranger now
Didn’t see it going that way
I thought that things would never change, never change, never change

Lyrics:
A$AP right up on my gut and that's a life tat'
Walk inside the booth, I just talk, I don't write raps
A$AP right up on my gut and that's a life tat'
Walk inside the booth, I just talk, talk, talk, talk
A$AP right up on my gut and that's a life tat'
Walk inside the booth, I just talk, I don't write raps
A$AP right up on my gut and that's a life tat'
Walk inside the booth, I just talk, talk, talk, talk
Talk, talk, talk….
Tell her, "Give me that, give me those, give me"
A$AP right up on my gut and that's a life tat'
Walk inside the booth, I just talk, talk, talk, talk
Talk, talk, talk….
Swipe a pretty bitch right off her feet, this a hijack
Why your nigga flexin' like he me? Ain't even like that
Bitch mistake my newest pinky ring for a ice pack
Shorty keep on damn requestin' me about some Snapchat
I don't even like rats, invested into mice traps
Pull up to the trenches, all my jewelry, yeah, I'm like that
I just put my finger in the- (ow) 'cause she like that
Don't compare that pussy boy to me
Feelin' like I'm Sosa, Chiefie Keef
Tired of them niggas sleepin' on me, I don't like naps
Niggas fuck around and stole the flow and y'all like that?
Okay, okay, and I'm right back
A$AP right up on my gut and that's a life tat'
Walk inside the booth, I just talk, I don't write raps
A$AP right up on my gut and that's a life tat'
Walk inside the booth, I just talk, talk, talk, talk
A$AP right up on my gut and that's a life tat'
Walk inside the booth, I just talk, I don't write raps
A$AP right up on my gut and that's a life tat'
Walk inside the booth, I just talk, talk, talk, talk
A$AP right up on my gut and that's a life tat'
Walk inside the booth, I just talk, I don't write raps
A$AP right up on my gut and that's a life tat'
Walk inside the booth, I just talk, talk, talk, talk
Talk, talk, talk…
Tell her, "Give me that, give me those, give me"
A$AP right up on my gut and that's a life tat'

Lyrics:
On a motor bike
Doing 90 in a 55
To another life
Where they make you cut your hair
Impatient with a rifle and your papers
Weightless but not scared

This machine is killing me
I pretended it was make believe

Lost boys
Never grow up, never go home
Lost boys
Never spend their lunch money, yeah
Lost boys
Never grow up, never get old
Lost boys

Find me
That one time in East Berlin
When you threw a tantrum with a 57
And broke a rib
You told me you wish you were dead
But I don’t believe that
I still wonder how you’re sleeping
I don’t feel bad, but I’m sorry

In a twin bed
Where all will be forgiven in an instant
Hands in each other’s hair
We are born again
So who cares where we’re going
In the morning, you are not there

Lost boys
Never grow up, never go home
Lost boys
Never spend their lunch money, yeah
Lost boys
Never give up, never get old
Lost boys
Come find me, yeah
