Lyrics:

There's a pale moon in the sky
The kind you make your wishes on
Oh, like the light in your eyes
The one I built my dreams upon
It's not there any longer
Something happened somewhere and we both know why
But me, I'm getting stronger
We must stop pretending
I can't live this life

I don't care who's wrong or right
I don't really want to fight no more (too much talking babe)
Let's sleep on it tonight
I don't really want to fight no more
This is time for letting go

I hear a whisper in the air
It simply doesn't bother me
Oh, can't you see that I don't care
Or are you you looking right through me
It seems to me that lately
You look at me the wrong way and I start to cry
Could it be that maybe
This crazy situation is the reason why

I don't care who's wrong or right
I don't really want to fight no more (too much talking babe)
Let's sleep on it tonight
I don't really want to fight no more (tired of all these games)
But baby, don't you know
That I don't want to hurt no more (it's time, I'm walking, babe)
Don't care now who's to blame
I don't really want to fight no more
This is time for letting go

Hanging on to the past
It only stands in our way
We had to grow for our love to last
But we just grew apart
No, I don't want to hurt no more

But baby, don't you know
No, I don't want to hurt no more (too much talking, babe)
So let's sleep on it tonight
I don't really want to fight no more
This is time for letting go
No, I don't want to hurt no more (too much, hey baby)
Don't care now who's to blame
I don't really want to fight no more
'Cause it's time for letting go

Dååth - Purified by Vengeance (ft. Mark Holcomb of Periphery & Mick Gordon) (OFFICIAL) Hotney 3 意见 • 3 年前

New single from Dååth! Buy here: https://metalblade.com/daath

Eyal Levi: “‘Purified By Vengeance’ is the first song we wrote for Dååth’s return and it has everything I would want from one of our songs. Devastating riffs, eerie synths, epic orchestration, brutal and catchy vocals, ethereal cleans, and an incredible solo.

And on that note, shout-out to Mick Gordon and Mark Holcomb for their contributions. When Mick told me the song made him think of grave robbing I knew he was picking up what we were putting down. He added what we didn’t know was missing. Layers of incredible percussion, sound design, orchestra, and theremin. Yes theremin. You’ve gotta love an evil theremin. Furthermore, the way Mick’s elements blend with Jesse Zuretti’s is perfect.

As far as Holcomb goes, I literally laughed out loud when I first heard his solo. It’s wild and classy, virtuosic and tasteful, unpredictable yet familiar. To be honest, it’s my favorite Mark Holcomb solo. You can tell him I said that."

LYRICS:
I dragged the weight of you in vain
fortified when your foundation caved
Testified with the vipers beckoning

Head of betrayal reared again
Terror reigning my solace
Ever pitiless
In despair is where you’ll rest

Six numbers
Carved into your eyes

A darkened veil
Covered my eyes
You threw me to the wolves
Buried our past alive

A darkened veil
Rendered me blind
You wrought disease
Vengeance will purify

Take the left-hand path
As you descend
In the Cleansing Fire
Remove the manifestation
Upon the pyre

From left to right
And right to left
Death is secured, consigned, and sealed
Execute the severance
End the suffering

Six numbers
Carved into your eyes

A darkened veil
Covered my eyes
You threw me to the wolves
Buried our past alive

A darkened veil
Rendered me blind
You wrought disease
Vengeance will purify

The Highest Crown
A rightful fate
Regaining the power
Through darkened veils
Suffer equilibrium
Victim of your own indecision

Suffering equilibrium
Victim of your own indecision

Scarred by your deception
Open the wounds again
Tear out the sutures
Ordered in succession

Eviscerated memories
Reshape the less defined
Absolved the Absolute
In abundance of lies

A darkened veil
Covered my eyes
You threw me to the wolves
Buried our past alive
