Lyrics:

I sit alone in my four-cornered room staring at candles
Oh that sh*it is on?
Let me drop some sh*it like this here, real smooth
At night I can't sleep, I toss and turn
Candlesticks in the dark, visions of bodies being burned
Four walls just staring at a n*gga
I'm paranoid, sleeping with my finger on the trigger
My mother's always stressin' I ain't living right
But I ain't goin' out without a fight
See, every time my eyes close
I start sweating and blood starts coming out my nose
It's somebody watching the Ak'
But I don't know who it is so I'm watching my back
I can see him when I'm deep in the covers
When I awake I don't see the motherf*cker
He owns a black hat like I own
A black suit and a cane like my own
Some might say take a chill, B
But f*ck that sh*it, there's a n*gga trying to kill me
I'm popping in the clip when the wind blows
Every twenty seconds got me peeping out my window
Investigating the joint for traps
Checking my telephone for taps
I'm staring at the woman on the corner
It's f*cked up when your mind's playing tricks on ya
I make big money
I drive big cars
Everybody know me
It's like I'm a movie star
But late at night something ain't right
I feel I'm being tailed by the same sucker's headlights
Is it that fool that I ran off the block
Or is it that n*gga last week that I shot
Or is it the one I beat for five thousand dollars
Thought he had caine but it was Gold Medal flour
Reached under my seat, grabbed my popper for the suckers
Ain't no use to me lying
I was scareder than a motherf*cker
Hooked a left into Popeye's and bailed out quick
If it's going down let's get this sh*it over with
Here they come just like I figured
I got my hand on the motherf*cking trigger
What I saw'll make your ass start giggling
Three blind, crippled and crazy senior citizens
I live by the sword
I take my boys everywhere I go because I'm paranoid
I keep looking over my shoulder and peeping around corners
My mind is playing tricks on me
Day by day it's more impossible to cope
I feel like I'm the one that's doing dope
Can't keep a steady hand because I'm nervous
Every Sunday morning I'm in service
Praying for forgiveness
And trying to find an exit out the business
I know the Lord is lookin' at me
But yet and still it's hard for me to feel happy
I often drift when I drive
Having fatal thoughts of suicide
Bang and get it over with
And then I'm worry-free, but that's bullsh*it
I got a little boy to look after
And if I died then my child would be a bastard
I had a woman down with me
But to me it seemed like she was down to get me
She helped me out in this sh*it
But to me she was just another b*tch
Now she's back with her mother
Now I'm realizing that I love her
Now I'm feeling lonely
My mind is playing tricks on me
This year Halloween fell on a weekend
Me and Geto Boys are trick-or-treating
Robbing little kids for bags
Till a old man got behind our a*s
So we speeded up the pace
Took a look back and he was right before our face
He'd be in for a squabble no doubt
So I swung and hit the n*gga in his mouth
He was going down we figured
But this wasn't no ordinary n*gga
He stood about six or seven feet
Now that's the n*gga I'd be seeing in my sleep
So we triple-teamed on him
Dropping them motherf*cking B's on him
The more I swung, the more blood flew
Then he disappeared and my boys disappeared too
Then I felt just like a fiend
It wasn't even close to Halloween
It was dark as f*ck on the streets
My hands were all bloody, from punching on the concrete
God damn homey
My mind is playing tricks on me

Personnel:
Gregg Allman - organ, vocals
Duane Allman - guitar, vocals
Dickey Betts - guitar, vocals
Berry Oakley - bass, vocals
Butch Trucks - drums
Jai Johanny Johanson - drums
Tom Doucette - harp

Summary:
On this date, Bill Graham assembled a stellar roster of bands to participate in the filming of a television special called Welcome To The Fillmore East for broadcast on educational channels. Short sets were filmed by the Byrds, the Elvin Bishop Group, Sha-Na-Na, Van Morrison, and the Allman Brothers Band, as well as behind-the-scenes footage of Bill Graham and the Fillmore East staff at work.

The Allman Brothers performance is nothing short of spectacular and features the original lineup that included Duane Allman and Berry Oakley. Recorded six months prior to the legendary Live At Fillmore East double album set, this performance captures the Allman Brothers when they were a relatively new band, full of youthful passion and performing what would become classic original material when it was fresh and new.

Following Bill Graham's introduction, they kick things off with a tight performance of "Don't Keep Me Wonderin'," which features the band's friend, Tom Doucette, blowing harp over the group's trademark sound. Gregg's vocal is barely audible, but it's obvious the group is full of fire. "Dreams," which follows, slows things down a bit and the group establishes a relaxed groove that showcases their trademark sound, blending elements that would eventually come to define "Southern Rock."

They hit their stride on the next number, Dickey Betts' "In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed." Here, the dual guitar attack of Allman and Betts is astounding. The two guitarists intertwine and synchronize in a manner nothing short of telepathic, creating a melting pot seasoned with elements of jazz, rock, country, and blues into a style utterly their own. The set ends with a ferocious take of "Whipping Post" that features outstanding melodic bass playing from Berry Oakley, with both Duane Allman and Dickey Betts soaring over the propulsive rhythm section. Shorter than the expansive versions that would develop in coming months, this is all the more fascinating for it, as they compress an incredible amount of energy into the time allotted.

Time constrictions and vocal microphone malfunctions aside, this is still a fascinating performance. This original lineup of the band was certainly one of the most innovative and captivating bands to ever play the Fillmore.

"Estes Park is a special place to me and Maddy. We love the peace and tranquillity we experience there. It was a total coincidence that it became the location for my album stream.

With one week to go before the release of the album, we had been frantically searching for the right location. Estes came up on Friday 27th Jan. I’d just left home for a triple-header weekend of shows - Phoenix, Chicago and Indianapolis. The following Tuesday I was packed, back on the plane, and flying out to Denver.

We met our host (Steve) and production crew Dan and Austin half way up the mountain where the cabin resided. Steve had to drive us the final 20 minutes in his snowcat - one of those tank’esque vehicles used to groom ski slopes. It was pitch black outside and looked like we were riding the edge of a cliff the whole way up. To add to the adrenaline, petrol fumes were leaking into the passenger cabin for the duration of the ride which began to get a little concerning when we saw rainbow-colored fog accumulating on the windows… We made it… barely alive… cooked fajitas, drank margaritas and prepared for the shoot at sunrise!

The morning presented my first look at the view. I was and still am blown away by the beauty. I could have looked at it all day. Steve’s cabin can be found on AirBnb. It’s super cosy inside and surrounded by 33,000 acres of nature, wildlife, and no other humans.

The set includes every album track, some brand new material and some exclusive edits of some of my older catalogue. Hope the beauty of the scenery combined with the music is a blessing to you.

Yes, I played ‘Estes’ in Estes and yes, I do like warm locations too! 🥶

🎥 Also! Massive shout out to Dan and Austin for their stellar work on this! " - Marsh

LYRICS:
Damn, I don’t understand why we go through this over and over and over and over again
Whats really good

Sometimes we say things that we really don't mean
We do things in between the lines
We should do more than stand out
I'm sorry if i made you feel less than who you are
A little insecure, oh you’s a shining star

I wanna spend my nights with you
My life with you, oh baby babe
Please wait up for me, till whenever i get home
I know that you're all alone
Thinking ‘bout what you’re gon’ do
I hope that you see it through

And oh, you’re gonna love me (imma love you regardless)
You’re gonna wanna hug me (you just gotta cut this shit out)
And squeeze me

(Ghostface)
Yeah
Yo we used to spin back “Lovin’ you”
Minnie Ripperton
The bose speakers had my walls and the plaques trembling
Lalala playing my mind all day
You come home, i let calgon and take you away
Bubble baths arose
Gucci open toes
Sunday nights we sitting watching Power in our robes
All of a sudden our lines got crossed over nothing
A text and your attitude change, yo you buggin
Hit me in the face with a pillow, and threw something
I just got up and walked in the room,
you still cussing
No “I love you”s before we sleep
“Goodnight”s is out the windows, it lasts for weeks
It's been awhile since i gave you my street vows
Promised to love you and hit two times a day never cheat now
Our chemistry is like a bowl of cherries,
and I’m the chocolate i smother you
Never to worry

And are you gonna love me
You’re gonna wanna hug me and squeeze me
(I’m gonna share half of the blame for this problem we are gonna through, you know i'm a taurus, the bull, i'm stubborn, so tell me what's on your mind) - Ghostface

Sometimes I don't think we really say enough
Why is it so hard to keep in touch
When we’re laying right next to each other, baby
We shouldn't read into things so much
Overthinking, understanding
Don't let a feeling change it up

I wanna spend my nights with you
My life with you, oh baby babe
Please wait up for me til whenever i get home
I know that I’m all alone
Thinking ‘bout what i'm gon’ do
I hope that i see it through, ooh, ooh, yeah

(Method Man)
I ain't got time for tricks
Them broads aint loyal
I get a spanish chick, i make arroz con pollo
Keep my woman fresh
So she will never be spoiled
And she can be my queen, but we will never be royals
I don't give you cream, yadamean? But i assure you
I'm heavy with the d, i got nothing but love for you
Sex as a weapon i got nothing but slugs for you
Ain't no protection, i done shot up the club for you
Yeah if i adore you, mi amor you
These dudes cannot afford you, let the god couture you
I like them loyal from the soil
And rhetorical questions when we smash, adorable
Who put the sex in sex appeal
Shorty got a receipt but her ex gets the bill
Look I'm too grown for netflix and chill
But i g and post up, like a net flick for real
love me

Are you gonna love me,
And are you gonna wanna hold me and squeeze me
Are you gonna love and squeeze me

(Raekwon)
Yeah man
You know what it is ma
Ay yo chef aka the wedding crasher
Came through in the Cullanin
Color of skim milk the wrath
Only us in the corner with the paid face, black cards and louis face
African cousins with us, we niggas
Smoking blunts, wine thats licatta
I waited like 3 years
Now we here getting license
And i'm tired of the whole jack and jill shit, the real shit
Both of us comfortable now, so you ain't ever gotta feel shit
Feed a nigga laugh for hours
Count by ones, playing old school shit
While we fuck in the shower
And now you know your guard is top tier
Remember the message,
Love with capital letters until they dead us

And are you gonna love me, youre gonna wanna hold me and squeeze me (x2)
