LYRICS
When I think of you and me
everything that we could be
I could see a family
baby in the backseat
right now it’s a fantasy
but I’m thinking that could be us…

I get lost for words on the regular
I’m not tryna get hurt, I don’t say too much
You always come back to me
back to me, back, ya
So I’m taking my chance, I believe in it
I can’t keep my feelings a secret
Gotta let go
I’m letting you know I mean it

I don’t wanna miss it if it’s right there
I don’t wanna run out of time
You could be the love of my life
I’m ready to cross that line
Can’t you see the signs, you see me right here
standing right in front your eyes
I could be the love of your life
I’m ready to cross that line

Tired of waiting
feeling overstimulated
and I can’t take it
We could keep on elevating
and elevating
I just wanna say we made
and celebrate it
celebrate it
You could be, you be could be
You could be all I need
Just like the air I breathe
I just wanna make it known
Hope I didn’t take too long

I don’t wanna miss it if it’s right there
I don’t wanna run out of time
You could be the love of my life
I’m ready to cross that line
Can’t you see the signs, you see me right here
standing right in front your eyes
I could be the love of your life
I’m ready to cross that line

I’m all in…
All in…
and I’m falling…
All in
(I’m ready to cross that line )

(I don’t wanna…)
(I’m ready to…)
(Right here…)
(I don’t wanna…)
(All in)
(I’m ready to…)
I’m ready to cross that line

I don’t wanna miss it if it’s right there
I don’t wanna run out of time
You could be the love of my life
I’m ready to cross that line

When I think of you and me
everything that we could be
I could see a family
baby in the backseat
right now it’s a fantasy
but I’m thinking that could be us
…that could be us

SZA - 30 For 30 (Lyrics) ft. Kendrick Lamar Hotney 12 Streams • 2 years ago

SZA - 30 For 30 ft. Kendrick Lamar
That's the way I like it

(Lyrics):
[Intro]
I used to think about immature things
You know, like
Do you love me? Do you want me?
Are you gon' call me like you said you would?
Is this really your real phone number?

[Chorus: Kendrick Lamar, SZA & Both]
Some of y'all go get washed (Washed)
Some of y'all just go pop shit
Some of y'all just go talk (Talk)
But none of y'all ain't really got shit
Some of y'all just look lost (Lost, yeah)
I get this type of feeling you ain't accustomed to
I swear I'd be at peace if it weren't for you (Yeah, yeah)
Only want your love if it's solid
But if you fuck me, then fuck you (Huh)
And that's the way I like it
That's the way I like it
And that's the way I like it
Ain't huggin' or smilin' for none of these bitches
That's the way I like it
I'm wipin' 'em down in front of they nigga
That's the way I like it
I'm thirty for thirty, I'm thirty for thirty, I'm thirty for thirty, I'm thirty for thirty, I'm

[Post-Chorus: SZA]
Chat
'Til they fold that bitch, no yoga mat
Chat
'Til they dead that nigga, don't hit me back

[Verse 1: SZA]
When the sun go down, everything make me feel lonely, yeah
I love sad things, but right now, he's just the homie
Tryna feel good inside, he never wanna hold me
Hype me up, you get me hyped, you my favorite coach compress a line
Fucking stress off, that's my only vice
I take it off when he tell me if I'm feelin' fine
I run it up, risk it all like I'm rolling dice
Takin' it all, it's my second life
That's me (That's me)
Passed out in a nigga backseat (Backseat)
Crashed out on a black-sand beach (Uh)
Already know my body
Already know that's me
Bitch shit, then you might get minked
Me, me, me
Only want the love if it's solid

[Chorus: Kendrick Lamar, SZA & Both]
Some of y'all go get washed (Washed)
Some of y'all just go pop shit
Some of y'all just go talk (Talk)
But none of y'all ain't really got shit
Some of y'all just look lost (Lost, yeah)
I get this type of feeling you ain't accustomed to
I swear I'd be at peace if it weren't for you (Yeah, yeah)
Only want your love if it's solid

[Post-Chorus: Kendrick Lamar & SZA]
But if you fuck me then fuck you (Huh)
And that's the way I like it

[Verse 2: Kendrick Lamar & SZA]
Everything been no tape (No tape)
They salute me so damn much, every time I show up, nigga hug 'bout face
Everything no cut, I fuck y'all up, I ain't really gon' trip 'bout bae
Blow the eighty seven gust while they waitin' on us, tell 'em I was on PCH
You fuckin' with niggas that's thinkin' they cuter than you, oh
Say you on your cycle but he on his period too, oh
The tables been turnin' so much I was thinkin' it's foosball
The tenderness of 'em was mistaken' for some white glue, oh
Walk, talk like Kendrick, like boss
Like Solana, I promise, more boss, it's a wash
It's a cradle, lost spaceship, shut the fuck up, get lost
No favors, I wager, whatever you worth, I ball
Somethin' about a conservative, regular girl that still can beat a bitch ass
Through as fuck, don't need your bitch ass
Psychic as fuck, can read your bitch ass
Zodiac sign, it must be a Gemini moon 'cause shit we about to go have
Mistakenly nobody been in they back but how many bodies done been in her bed?

[Chorus: Kendrick Lamar, SZA & Both]
Some of y'all go get washed (Washed)
Some of y'all just go pop shit
Some of y'all just go talk (Talk)
But none of y'all ain't really got shit
Some of y'all just look lost (Lost, yeah)
I get this type of feeling you ain't accustomed to
I swear I'd be at peace if it weren't for you (Yeah, yeah)
Only want your love if it's solid
But if you fuck me, then fuck you (Huh)
And that's the way I like it
That's the way I like it
And that's the way I like it
Ain't huggin' or smilin' for none of these bitches
That's the way I like it
I'm wipin' 'em down in front of they nigga
That's the way I like it
I'm thirty for thirty, I'm thirty for thirty, I'm thirty for thirty, I'm thirty for thirty, I'm

[Post-Chorus: SZA]
Check
'Til they fold that bitch, no yoga mat
Check
'Til they dead that nigga no strings attached
Check
Should've ran that nigga, no questions asked
Check, check, they checkin', they check

[Outro: SZA & Kendrick Lamar]
Check
Do I let 'em bump and grind while I'm gettin' wacked?
Check
Do I take his head off and wear it for fashion?
Check
Do I do my stuff and take it to the max?
Check, check, they checkin', they check

Life of Agony - The Crow (In Memory of B.L.) Hotney 12 Streams • 2 years ago

Life of Agony Pays Homage to The Crow’s Brandon Lee with New Video!

Life of Agony has a long history of paying homage to the films that helped shape their teenage years. Back in 1995, the band covered Simple Minds’ Don’t You (Forget About Me) on the group’s Ugly album the song was made famous by the movie The Breakfast Club. In 1997, on their album Soul Searching Sun, a music video for the song Desire incorporated visuals reminiscent of Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining. That tradition continues with a brand-new original track titled The Crow (In Memory of B.L.), which pays tribute to the fallen star Brandon Lee, who tragically lost his life during the filming of the cult-classic, released 30 years ago.

Life of Agony’s The Crow (In Memory of B.L.) was recorded in New York City at the legendary Sear Sound studio, best known for hit albums by David Bowie and John Lennon, as well as at The Nest Studio, in Long Island, NY. The song was recorded, produced, and mixed by LOA’s guitarist Joey Zampella (who also co-produced the group’s last album The Sound of Scars). The song was mastered by Grammy-award winner Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Red Hot Chili Peppers).

With 2024 marking the 30th anniversary of Brandon Lee’s Crow film, and all of the controversy surrounding the new Bill Skarsgård remake, Life of Agony felt inspired to go back and give respect to the ‘94 film that made such a huge impact on them during their early years.

“There’s something very special about the original Crow that made it timeless, and there’s a reason that it resonated with us as kids,” explained LOA bassist Alan Robert. “It was an absolute tragedy… Brandon Lee was killed the year we did our first album River Runs Red, and by the time The Crow came out in ‘94, he was already a legend. Brandon completely embodied the role, made it iconic, and lost his life in the process. It was just so incredibly sad and affected us deeply. He was such a charismatic character and in the very beginning stages of his career. Director Alex Proyas captured lightning in a bottle.”

A music video for Life of Agony’s The Crow (In Memory of B.L.) was filmed and edited in New York by Derek Soto of Sinestra Studios with motion graphics created by The Dor Brothers. The clip was produced by Chris White (Doors, Portals, V/H/S Viral) and Life of Agony.

"We thought that creating a song and a sound that would seamlessly fit on the original film's soundtrack would be a perfect way to honor Brandon and his legacy," said LOA guitarist Joey Zampella.

Eyewitness to the Death of John Lennon | WABC-TV Special Hotney 12 Streams • 2 years ago

The murder of John Lennon on Dec. 8, 1980, was as devastating as it was shocking. And Eyewitness News covered the murder like no other news source, as it happened in our backyard, to a person who was more than just one of the most famous celebrities on Earth - he was our neighbor.

John Lennon lived at the Dakota, just a few blocks from our studio. Employees of Channel 7 considered him a friendly face they'd wave to -- he, Yoko, and their young son, Sean, would shop in the same shops and go for walks on the same streets. At least one ABC employee, Geraldo Rivera, was a close friend of the Lennons.

Our special "Eyewitness to the Death of John Lennon," hosted by Bill Ritter, interviews the big players in that story, both in front of the camera -- Geraldo Rivera, Ernie Anastos, John Johnson, Doug Johnson -- to those behind the scenes.

Indeed, we've perhaps never been more of an "Eyewitness" to a story - a Channel 7 producer, Alan Weiss, happened to be at Roosevelt Hospital after a motorcycle-riding injury when the mortally wounded former Beatle was carried in.

Having witnessed the fight to save Lennon, Alan managed to call the news into the WABC assignment desk, where the scanner was blaring about a shooting at the Dakota.

Soon, Weiss' news tip would reach Howard Cosell, who would break the news to the nation on ABC's Monday Night Football -- but not before debating whether he should.

At Channel 7, the newsroom was a whirlwind as the nightmarish story developed, and Ernie Anastos and Rose Ann Scamardella prepared to go on the air after the game.

The next week that followed, culminating in a historic tribute vigil in Central Park was unlike any other in New York, America -- or the Eyewitness newsroom.

Our John Lennon special tells the story that shook the world from a perspective you've never seen -- as it happened, moment by moment, with rare or just-discovered historical footage, all through the eyes of Eyewitness News.

"Eyewitness to the Death of John Lennon" is NOW STREAMING on ABC7's streaming apps on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and Android TV. To stream, search "ABC7 New York" in the app store.

Sabrina Carpenter: Tiny Desk Concert Hotney 12 Streams • 2 years ago

Ashley Pointer | December 20, 2024
When I greeted Sabrina Carpenter at NPR HQ for her Tiny Desk debut, her charm was immediately disarming. Bubbling with excitement, she extended her hand, introduced herself and complimented my outfit with genuine warmth. You’d think this was one of her first “big time” gigs, not a regular performance for a pop veteran, having sold out arenas across the country touring her now six time Grammy-nominated sixth album, Short n’ Sweet. That humility made me love her even more.

But Carpenter delivers far more than just charm in this performance. Backed by her band, complimented with pedal steel and a string quartet, she reimagines her biggest hits from Short n’ Sweet, while sharing the stories in between songs of how these tracks came to life. Opening with “Taste,” strings serve up some playful pizzicato, before Carpenter and her band move into a lush, soulful version “Bed Chem.” Then everyone swaps their electric instruments for acoustic to perform “Please Please Please” and “Slim Pickins.” Finally, Carpenter closes with the viral favorite “Juno,” cheekily asking the audience, “Have you ever tried this one?” before sweeping her rear end across the windchimes, earning a laugh from the room.

“When I first started [writing songs] it was kinda in a room like this — a room with very dry walls and there’s no reverb,” Carpenter reflects at the top of her performance. “But there’s something so real and special.” That authenticity set the tone for a memorable session with one of 2024’s biggest breakout superstars.
