Founded in 2004 in Franklin, Tennessee, Paramore began as a small garage band with lead vocalist Hayley Williams, guitarist Josh Farro, drummer Zac Farro, bassist Jeremy Davis, and guitarist Jason Bynum. Their infectious energy and unique sound quickly gained attention in the local music scene.

Paramore's debut album, "All We Know Is Falling," marked their entry into the mainstream in 2005. The album showcased their dynamic mix of pop-punk and alternative rock, with hits like "Pressure" and "Emergency," laying the foundation for their future success.

Facing the departure of members Jason Bynum and Jeremy Davis, Paramore demonstrated resilience with the release of "Riot!" in 2007. The album featured the chart-topping single "Misery Business," solidifying their status as a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.

"Brand New Eyes" showcased Paramore's growth as musicians, with Hayley Williams's powerful vocals leading the way. Hits like "Ignorance" and "The Only Exception" brought critical acclaim and a more mature sound to their repertoire.

The self-titled album "Paramore" marked a new era for the band, featuring a synth-pop and new wave influence. The Grammy-winning single "Ain't It Fun" became their highest-charting song, solidifying Paramore's place in the pop-rock genre.

"After Laughter" showcased Paramore's willingness to experiment with their sound, incorporating elements of new wave and synth-pop. The album's lead single, "Hard Times," brought a fresh and vibrant energy to their discography.

I wrote the script for the “Brighter Shade” video in the span of about five minutes. I had been pitched a few music video concepts from my management at Space Colonel, but I felt that this song needed a personal touch. I was talking on the phone with Mike Vanata about the potential of him coming out from Wyoming and filming something on my land here in Muhlenberg County, KY. Toward the end of the conversation I told him I would think of something all the while it was already coming together in my head. With 10 minutes of hanging up I sent him a basic script of this concept.

This video encapsulates mine and Ashley’s relationship in a lot of ways and the general dynamic of the feminine and masculine spirit. I have always wandered into the unknown in search of something my soul craves that has often led me into traps unforeseen. Ashley has always been there to clean me up and tame the beast within me as part of her sacred duty. As years have gone by and I have gained wisdom through risk, reward and ruin I have become more effective in bringing back valuable treasures from my quests into the darkness. Over time she has become the ultimate embodiment of empathy and patience that my soul needs to heal from those journeys. It is a tale as old as time spanning every culture and creed of human.

There are a lot of psychological connections between the visual and phonic aspect of this piece of art. Every other shot carries a dual meaning mostly related to the song and history of Lost Dog, but also to the process and people involved in the creation of the video. This song develops such an authentic and universally felt notion within the concept of soulmates. This video is an absolutely perfect interpretation of this song and in unison became a masterpiece.

I want to thank Mike Vanata from Western AF for his incredible work and the invaluable friendship we share. I want to thank Ashley Mae for being my guiding star and healing light through years of trial and misfortune most often brought on by my pride and foolishness. I want to last thank God for the incredible gifts of reason and creativity he has given me. Het Nederlandse televisieprogramma "Countdown" was van 1976 t/m 1993 “Europe’s Number 1 Rock Show” en werd uitgezonden bij Veronica. Later werd het programma ook uitgezonden in het buitenland en was het op z'n hoogtepunt in meer dan 20 landen op televisie te zien.

Gedurende deze 17 jaar muziekgeschiedenis zijn er opnames gemaakt met talloze internationale sterren, zoals Paul McCartney, David Bowie, Tina Turner, Janet Jackson, Stevie Wonder, The Rolling Stones, George Harrison, U2, The Police, Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen, Lenny Kravitz, Depeche Mode, New Order, Whitney Houston, Duran Duran, R.E.M., Frankie Goes To Hollywood, The Cure, Run DMC, Cyndi Lauper, Iron Maiden, New Kids On The Block, LL Cool J.

Uiteraard kwamen Nederlandse top-acts als Doe Maar, Andre Hazes, Herman Brood, Frank Boeijen, Spargo, Golden Earring, Time Bandits, De Dijk, De Raggende Manne, Hans de Booij, Gerard Joling, Drukwerk ook langs voor een optreden in Bussum.

Countdown werd gepresenteerd door oa Lex Harding, Erik de Zwart, Adam Curry, Simone Walraven Wessel van Diepen, Jeroen van Inkel, Rob Stenders, Simone Angel en Jasper Faber.

Het Countdown archief is vrijwel helemaal compleet en sinds 2017 eigendom van het Amerikaanse Reelin’ In The Years Productions (David Peck - https://reelinintheyears.com/) en Double 2 Hilversum (Jan Douwe Kroeske - http://www.double2bv.nl).
