► LYRICS

Late in the evening
I'm watching my feed
I'm filling my eyes with nothing but greed
Up in the morning
My eyes are all red
Turn on the news
Somehow we ain’t dead

Yea the frequency cracking
Drives me out of my head
Loosely distracted by all they said
These people wearing balls and chains
While I’m wearing justice change

So can you hear me through the white noise?
Is my message getting through?
Ahhh, yea, yea...
Are you gonna make the right choice?
Time to make up your mind before it happens to you

They wanna close my spirit, kill my joy
Can you hear me through the white noise?
Yea I’m hearing oh
I wanna drink my jack bring back my poise
Is my message getting through?
Yea I hear ya through the white noise

Out in the ether
Somewhere in time
Watching my city
Succumb to the crime
There’s revolution
Conspiracy’s rife
Take over my dreams
Taking over my life

Can you hear me through the white noise?
Is my message getting through?
Oh I’m hearing you clear
Are you gonna make the right choice?
Time to make up your mind before it happens to you

Oh close my spirit kill my joy
Can you hear me through the white noise?
Yea I’m hearing you well
I wanna drink my jack bring back my poise
Is my message getting through?
Yea yea I can hear ya through the white noise

Ahhhh, can you hear me through the white noise?
Is my message getting through?
Oh are you gonna make the right choice
Time to make up your mind before it happens to you

Oh you wanna close my spirit kill my joy
Can you hear me through the white noise?
Because I’m talking to you
I’m gonna drink my jack bring back my poise
Is my message getting through?
Yea I can hear you through the white noise

Nate Dogg, born Nathaniel Dwayne Hale, was a West Coast icon and a pioneer of G-funk, whose smooth, soulful hooks helped define an entire era of hip-hop. Emerging from Long Beach alongside his cousin Snoop Dogg and friend Warren G, Nate started out in the group "213" before breaking into the mainstream. His career skyrocketed with Dr. Dre’s The Chronic and the classic Regulate with Warren G, cementing him as hip-hop’s go-to voice for unforgettable hooks.

From “The Next Episode” with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg to “Area Codes” with Ludacris and “21 Questions” with 50 Cent, Nate Dogg’s unique vocals turned tracks into timeless hits. His collaborations spanned across the genre, teaming up with legends like Tupac Shakur, Eminem, and Xzibit. Known for blending R&B soul with a streetwise edge, Nate became the king of hip-hop choruses.

While his career reached legendary heights, Nate also faced legal and health challenges along the way. Despite these struggles, he left an indelible mark on music. But on March 15, 2011, Nate Dogg’s story took a tragic turn, closing a chapter on one of hip-hop’s most influential voices.

LETRA

Nunca se hace tarde
A cualquier hora le llego, bebé
Ese booty es un mito
La ropa te quito
Nos vamos al eden
No me compares con estos cabrones, bebé
5 minutos es el ETA
Pero pa’l cielo
Baby, where you at? Aye
Donde estás?
Toi moja hace rato (rato)
Y quiero que lo entres ya
Baby ya estoy on my way
Ya que preguntaste “dónde estás?”
Toi ruteándola hace rato
Bien bellaco toi pensando..
Me estoy envolviendo ma’
Y yo no soy Luar
Me pide creampie y no quiere Plan B
Me dice “pa’ yo soy loca” amenazándome
Y siempre te voy a tirar tarde

Shocking Blue - Venus - 04/04/1998 • TopPop Hotney 14

Shocking Blue was a Dutch rock band formed in The Hague in 1967. They had a number of psychedelic rock hits throughout the counterculture movement during the 1960s and early 1970s, including "Send Me a Postcard", "Love Buzz", and "Venus," the last of which became their biggest hit and reached number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and many other countries during 1969 and 1970. The band sold 13.5 million records by 1973 but disbanded in 1974. The Shocking Blue were founded in 1967 by The Motions guitarist Robbie van Leeuwen. Other members of the group at this time were Fred de Wilde, Klaasje van der Wal (1 February 1949 – 12 February 2018) and Cor van der Beek (9 June 1949 – 2 April 1998). They had a minor hit in 1968 with "Lucy Brown is Back in Town". De Wilde left in 1968 after joining the Dutch army, and van Leeuwen was introduced to Mariska Veres, singing at that time with a club band. He persuaded her to take over the vocals, and the group recorded a worldwide hit with the song "Venus" which peaked at number three in the Netherlands in autumn 1969. The song was released in the United States and the United Kingdom at the end of the year and reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in February 1970. It subsequently sold 350,000 copies in Germany and topped the U.S. chart for three weeks, the first song from the Netherlands to do so. It sold over one million copies there by January 1970 and received a gold record awarded by the Recording Industry Association of America. Global sales exceeded five million copiesMaria Elisabeth Ender, better known as Mariska Veres (1 October 1947 – 2 December 2006), was a Dutch singer who was best known as the lead singer of the rock group Shocking Blue. Described as being similar to a young Cher, she was known for her sultry voice, eccentric performances, and her striking appearance which featured kohl-rimmed eyes, high cheekbones, and long jet black hair, which was actually a wig. The group had many other hits before they split up in 1975. In 1979 a reunion attempt was made, but it lasted only two years. Shocking Blue was resurrected in a new line-up in 1993 with Mariska Veres, but without Robbie van Leeuwen. This formation continued until the death of Mariska Veres in December 2006. This performance was part of the celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the AVRO in a Toppop tv special presented by Ad Visser in 1998.
