Here's a special upload! I have compiled all the complete song footage that I could find to put together as much of the concert as possible, and in the correct order too. Apparently, there's footage of each song with the exception of the mid-show set without Elton, and "Have Mercy On The Criminal", so I was able to reconstruct much of the show here!

Sources for the footage include a DVD-rip of a transfer of the 90-minute Japanese Laserdisc (this DVD is being sold on eBay), and then the two additional songs ("...Alice" and "Rocket Man") come from Terry Bangley here on YouTube so a major thanks to him!

This appears to be the most complete footage compilation of this legendary concert, and unlike the Laserdisc the footage has been edited in the order it was actually performed. Enjoy! :)

While far too many progressive and technical death metal bands are happy to walk the same path and stick to a tried-and-true sound, on their second full-length The Zenith Passage forge new and exhilarating territory. From start to finish, Datalysium is driven by imagination, and played by artists who have full command of their instruments, creating something that stands out of any pack while maintaining what made them such a riveting proposition in the first place. When asked to describe the record, the band do so vividly: "Imagine if Necrophagist and Meshuggah were married, and Cynic and Extol got married, then years later they went to a swingers party to spice up their relationships, which then became a regular thing. From this, they all had a kid together, no one knows who the biological father is, but that's cool because they're co-parenting. That kid then grows up, idolizing David Lynch, Ridley Scott and film noir. He then goes to film school for a couple of years, but drops out because he'd rather play synth music, but ends up broke and homeless. Then Datalysium would be that kid."

The album was recorded between McKinney's home studio and Rydquist's apartment, with some vocals tracked at Flatline Audio with Dave Otero (Cattle Decapitation, WAKE), who also mixed the album. McKinney handled the tracking, while they brought in Ryan Williams (The Black Dahlia Murder, John Frum) to produce some of the bass and vocals. Having been friends with Williams for years, it felt natural to have him be a part of the recording process, while Otero also contributed profoundly. A longtime friend of McKinney, this is the first time they have actually collaborated on a record. "Dave is the kind of dude that just gets it, when going for the sound or idea we have in mind, even bringing an idea to light that we never even thought to do and collaborating and expanding on these ideas further. We were expecting some really epic stuff from Dave, but the end result of that has proved to be way more than those expectations."

Bobby Hatfield of the Righteous Brothers performs his classic hit, "Unchained Melody." This is a live performance on NBC-TV's The Andy Williams Show in 1965 when the song was hot on the top 40 charts.

The Righteous Brothers were a duo comprised of Bill Medley (the tall, dark-haired guy with the bass-baritone voice) and Bobby Hatfield (seen as a solo performer in this video). When the two performed together on such hits as "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling" and "(You're My) Soul and Inspiration," magic happened. Their two very different voices created amazing harmonies that helped to define the sound that came to be known as "Blue-Eyed Soul."

But when Bobby Hatfield soloed, as he did here, his incredible range was on full display.

Sadly, Bobby died in 2003, but not until after he and Bill Medley were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. RIP, Bobby.

I consider this one of the two or three best live vocal performances ever captured on television, and I'm so glad I was able to restore it. Obviously, there are limitations to what can be done to restore footage this old, but with a few digital tricks to color correct and reduce some noise in the footage, I was able to improve it a bit. Other versions of this performance are on YouTube, but some of them have the picture and sound out of sync, and I have fixed that here. Plus, I have augmented the sound to make it really pop.
