The album debuted at #2 on the US Billboard 200, and reached number #1 in Australia, Canada, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Unorthodox

Jukebox was the fourth best-selling album of 2013 and is currently certified 6x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). In 2014, Unorthodox Jukebox won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album at the 56th Grammy Awards and International Album of the Year at the Juno Awards.

Unorthodox Jukebox yielded five hit singles, including two US Billboard Hot 100 #1’s: the RIAA Diamond-certified "Locked Out of Heaven" and the RIAA Diamond-certified "When I Was Your Man".

Documentary, following Sandy Denny's way too short musical odyssey, from her earliest days in the folk scene, her work with Strawbs, Trever Lucus, her reinventing Fairport Convention and their unique contributions, to Fotherin****, and her solo work. Overwhelmingly a talking head documentary, with music writers Patrick Humphries, Colin Irwin, and Nigel Williamson, as well as Fairport bandmates Dave Mattacks, David Swarbrick, and Gerry Conway, but with Richard Thompson sadly, mysteriously completely absent. We (the fan club) were thrilled when the BBC contacted us as they were doing a documentary about The Sound of Music and its star Julie Andrews. They had initially written to the Fan Club's address - my mother's - in Sweden, but as I had just moved to London, she gave them the new address. I quickly asked some fellow fans if they wanted to participate in the documentary.
So, 5 of us (Jean, Jenny, Richard, Ernesto and myself) met up with the producer Nicholas Jones to record how the movie and Julie had affected our lives. In the documentary you will see what we all said in the interview. Much as I love the movie, for me it was always Julie that I loved - unconditionally.

C. Tangana's extended family basking in the warmth of sobremesa with easy smiles and effortless baile looks otherworldly after more than 13 months amid a global pandemic. But considering the Spanish rapper's past year back home in Madrid, the simplicity feels fiercely authentic. (Check his mama and tía vibing in the corner.)

This first live performance of his latest album, El Madrileño (including a global premiere of a fresh single, "Me Maten") buzzes with communal energy, spotlighting talent from across Latin landscapes. From Mexican Regional to Spanish flamenco, C. Tangana is simultaneously coming home and reaching out to bridge Latin music boundaries. He's building a community of cross-cultural collaboration, rooted in a unifying love of language and tradition, making it clear he's intent on giving everyone a seat at the table.

The entirety of the show, from impromptu harmony to string octet, hums along with a distinctly Spanish cadence, paying homage to the flamenco-infused streets the global superstar came up in. The concert's star-studded cast of Spanish collaborators, including long-time friends (producers Alizzz and Victor Martínez) and new contributors (rumba legend Kiko Veneno and flamenco-pop icon La Húngara), are each spotlighted for their contributions to the record.

All these parts compound in a room full of people with a shared desire to connect and create juntos, manifesting an authentic joy we've seen again and again at the real Tiny Desk. And at the helm is C. Tangana, humming a melody and bringing the room to life: hands, harmonies, heartbeats, perfectly in sync.
