"Nightflyer" (Live from Sound Emporium) is from Allison Russell's first ever solo project, Outside Child (produced by Dan Knobler). Stream/buy here: https://found.ee/AROutsideChild
"Nightflyer" is written by Allison Russell and Jeremy Lindsay aka JT Nero.
"When I was sixteen I read The Thunder: Perfect Mind for the first time - it’s an exhortatory poem discovered among the Gnostic manuscripts in the Nag Hammadi library in the 40’s. It has never left me. I’ve been meditating on the nature of resilience, endurance, and grace more deeply since becoming a mother. I was trying to bridge the divide and embrace shame and my inner divinity equally with this piece…"- A

Pre-order my New Album 'hi, my name is insecure' coming out May 24th: https://SamTompkins.lnk.to/himynameisinsecureVD

it's not been an easy few months for me. my debut album coming out was supposed to be this extremely proud moment for me and of course it still is, but there is obviously something missing. my dad taught me so much in my life and was my number 1 supporter in everything i do. so knowing he won't be here to see that dream of mine come to life has been a constant battle. it just doesn't feel quite right. when i was growing up, my dad bought a pub in devon, england. he loved it so much. it was actually where i played my first ever gig. so, now that it has been left to my siblings and i, i knew i had to do something special there. this is a very special stripped back version of phones in heaven, that i shot at that very pub where i had my first experience playing music in front of people at the age of 13. it's just me and a piano in a pub that meant so much to my dad. probably one of the most emotional days of my life being there and doing this, so really excited to share this special video, which is the first instalment in a series of videos that will be revealed over the coming months as the album comes to release. i am so excited to share this with you. so glad we could make such a special piece of art exist to pay homage to the one of my biggest inspirations in life. he would've loved this like nothing else on this planet. thanks :)

Electricity (Lyrics):

Falling into you
Baby
Even electricity
Can’t compare to what I feel
When I’m with you
Ooh baby
Given up my ghosts for you
And now I’m see through

You give me a feeling
Feeling so strong
I know you been treating
Treating yourself wrong
So let me care for you
Ooh baby
Ima love you differently
I’ll give you electricity
Give it to you

And even if I could
I wouldn’t turn on you
And I would stop the world for you
You know
I wanted to let you know
I’ll never let this feeling go
This love has no ceiling
I cannot deny

And even if I could
I wouldn’t turn on you
And I would stop the world for you and I
I wanted to let you know
I’ll never let this feeling go
This love has no ceiling
I cannot deny

All I see is you lately
Wide awake and in my dreams
I see your face so vividly
I don’t know what I’d do
Ooh baby
If you only saw a friend in me
I’d be bitter sweet

You give me a feeling
Feeling so strong
I know you been treating
Treating yourself wrong
So let me care for you
Ooh baby
Ima love you differently
I’ll give you electricity
Give it to you

And even if I could
I wouldn’t turn on you
And I would stop the world for you
You know
I wanted to let you know
I’ll never let this feeling go
This love has no ceiling
I cannot deny

And even if I could
I wouldn’t turn on you
And I would stop the world for you and I
I wanted to let you know
I’ll never let this feeling go
This love has no ceiling
I cannot deny

You feel electric baby
So electric baby
I wanna let you know
Let you know
I think I’m ready baby
I think I’m ready now
Electricity
I’m flowing into you

I want it
I need it
This current between us
Is flowing
This feeling
Tonight

And even if I could
I wouldn’t turn on you
And I would stop the world for you
You know
I wanna let you know
I’ll never let this feeling go
This love has no ceiling
I cannot deny

And even if I could
I wouldn’t turn on you
And I would stop the world for you and I
I wanna let you know
I’ll never let this feeling go
This love has no ceiling
I cannot deny

You feel electric baby
So electric baby
I wanna let you know
Let you know
I think I’m ready baby
I think I’m ready now

My favorite Elvis song.

In this full-length interview, St. Louis rap legend Chingy shares some of the dietary and mental secrets that have contributed to him maintaining his youthful outward appearance. From there, he explains why he chose to become a vegan. As the discussion moves along, the "Right Thurr" rapper reacts to being named to the "50 Worst Rappers of All-Time" list that went viral. Moving along, he shares the details of why he chose to sign with a record label called Disturbing tha Peace back in the early 2000s instead of Nelly's imprint with Motown, Derrty Entertainment. From there, he recalls his admiration for the former rap duo known as Kriss Kross and their producer Jermaine Dupree. The St. Louis native also looks back on working with Janet Jackson, Lil Wayne Bun B, and Nate Dogg during his heyday. To find out more, scroll up and press play.

This documentary explores the final 24 hours of Jim Morrison, the legendary lead singer of The Doors. Fleeing fame, legal troubles, and personal demons, Morrison sought solace in Paris to reinvent himself as a poet. Despite appearing healthier, his long-standing struggles with alcohol and drugs persisted. On July 3, 1971, he died mysteriously in his Paris apartment at age 27, with the official cause being heart failure. Speculation about his death, ranging from a heroin overdose to a faked demise, adds to his enduring mystique. The film chronicles his rise to fame, inner conflicts, tumultuous relationships, and the legacy of a tortured artist.

Lyrics
VERSE 1:
All is said and done
but it was fun
breaking us to pieces

tried to hard
to stay apart
but we love this feeling

PRE:
I know I’ll see you again
i’ve been telling my friends
that I’m quitting this habit

Vente a mi casa después
Pecamos más de una vez
De mi cabeza no sales

CHORUS:
We’ll go down in history
Worst the world has ever seen
but wasn’t it fun
tearing everything up?
Oh what a mess we made

made some toxic memories
When the nights were young and so were we
But wasn’t it fun
tearing everything up?
Oh what a mess we made

VERS 2:

Fa- rruuu
Histórico fue lo que viví
El tiempo que pasé junto a ti
Y nadie me ha hecho sentir lo que sentí junto a ti
Farru
Somos una pieza, una obra del destino
No fue casualidad cruzarno’ en el camino
Eres música clásica pa’ mis oídos
Tú eres un mantra disfrazado de sonido
Me llevas en un viaje
Cuando te quitas el traje
Somos dos fieras salvajes
Pero nos faltó coraje

CHORUS:
We’ll go down in history
Worst the world has ever seen
but wasn’t it fun
tearing everything up?
Oh what a mess we made

made some toxic memories
When the nights were young and so were we
But wasn’t it fun
tearing everything up?
Oh what a mess we made

I'm calling this......This is not a real podcast, because it’s not a real podcast.” I’m not chasing trends or trying to be a talk show host , I’m just sitting down and chopping it up with people I genuinely rock with. It could be a politician, a rapper, an athlete… you never know who’s gonna pull up.

Raw conversations. Real people. No fake industry vibes.
Because again… this is not a real podcast.

Nina Live! Full Concert

SUBSCRIBE TO WARNER MUSIC PHILIPPINES
https://wmp.lnk.to/youtube

In an effort to keep you entertained in quarantine, we continue our lockdown concert series by premiering the full unseen performance footage from Nina's 2005 hit album, Nina Live!

The live album, consisting of Nina's fan-favorite cover songs that she performed in her gigs, was recorded on January 30, 2005 at PHI Resto & Bar in Metro Manila and directed by Marla Ancheta. Nina and The Essence band rehearsed for only two weeks prior to the shoot since they already knew the songs. Nina's then-labelmates Christian Bautista, Thor, and Trapp of Dice & K9 also worked with the Soul Siren for this project.

Some of the timeless love songs included in the album are "I Don't Want to Be Your Friend", "Love Moves in Mysterious Ways", "Through the Fire", Constantly, and "I Love You, Goodbye". These were subsequently awarded as the 2000s most successful singles, making Nina Live! a massive success. A week after its release, it immediately rose to Gold status, and became certified Platinum in less than a month. It was also considered to be one of the country's biggest-selling album, certifying 10x Platinum by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry.

The Nina Live! footage to be uploaded to Warner Music Philippines' YouTube channel will also be part of the singer's birthday celebration.

As we all adjust to the new reality of life, we continue to share both live and previously shot concerts that you can watch from the safety of your home. Bookmark https://wmp.lnk.to/youtube for more Live Catalogue series, featuring Christian Bautista, Rico Blanco, Sitti, and more.
