Lyrics:
Oh hoh
Woo

Out of all the boys you're not like the others
From the very first day I knew we'd be lovers
In my wildest dreams, my darkest desire
Would I declare to you your love takes me higher (aah)
Just when we both thought our lives were set in stone
They shone a light and brought us together (ooh)

We are two in a million
We've got all the luck we could be given
If the world (the world) should stop (should stop)
We'll still have each other
And no matter what (no matter what) we'll be forever as one

It's a crazy world where everything's changing
One minute you're up and the next thing you're breaking (yay)
When I lose my way and the skies they get heavy
It'll be okay the moment you're with me
No one would have guessed we'd be standing strong today
Solid as a rock and perfect in every way
We are two in a million
We've got all the luck (the luck) we could be given
If the world should stop we'll still have each other
And no matter what (no matter) what (no matter what)
We'll be forever as one
Forever as one

We are two in a million (yeah)
We've got all the luck (the luck) we could be given (oh)
If the world should stop we'll still have each other
And no matter what we'll be forever as one
We are two in a million (yeah)

We've got all the luck (hey) we could be given
If the world should stop we'll still have each other (yeah)
And no matter what, we'll be forever as one
We are two in a million (two in a million)
We've got all the luck we could be given (we could be given)
If the world should stop we'll still have each other
And no matter what (no matter what) we'll be forever as one
No matter what (no matter what) we'll be forever as one
No matter what (no matter what) we'll be forever as one

Flo Milli: Tiny Desk Concert Hotney 11 Ansichten • 2 Jahre vor

This Black Music Month, Tiny Desk is giving the ladies their flowers. We’re releasing nine Tiny Desk concerts from Black women artists, from veterans who’ve paved the way for what we hear today in Black music, to those who are carving out their own paths.

Ashley Pointer | June 26, 2024
The Tiny Desk has humbled many artists, but Flo Milli strutted into NPR HQ and behind the Desk with the unwavering confidence of an OG. While her appearance gave soft and feminine, clothed in blush pink with baby’s breath scattered throughout her hair, Milli’s lyrical prowess sliced like a sword. Her bars were bratty and braggadocious alongside Atlanta’s own Band of Brothers and her background singers she dubbed “The Floettes.”

Flo Milli has carved out her own lane in hip-hop. At just 24 years old, she’s dropped a trilogy of albums — 2020’s Ho, Why Is You Here?, 2022's You Still Here, Ho? and 2024’s Fine Ho, Stay — and scored her first Billboard Hot 100 charting single with the infectious “Never Lose Me.” Performing with a live band for the first time, we get a taste of each of these albums in her performance. The opener, a medley of “Conceited” and “Bed Time,” gets a rock makeover with some heavy keybass and electric guitar. Then, Milli and her band take us back to her debut days with the song that put her on the map, “Beef FloMix,” which takes on a soulful, guitar-led makeover. Closing her set with a treat, the band exchange their instruments for acoustic guitars to perform a special rendition of “Never Lose Me” — with a new verse, exclusively for the Tiny Desk audience.

BTS releases their first regular album [DARK & WILD] after debut!

[DARK & WILD]’s title song “Danger” is a hybrid hip-hop song where funk rock guitar, hip-hop groove, and club tune are all mixed together. Guitarist Grecco Burratto from Shakira’s live band participated in recording the song for its high quality sound. BTS focused on making it sound more like American hip-hop.
The music video focuses on performance. BTS shows perfect group dance in factory and subway settings. In particular, the scene that was shot on the floor filled with water is chosen to be the best scene in the entire music video. With all seven members’ flashy foot moves and the splashes of water together made it look great.

Lyrics:
Why do I feel like your puppet
You pull my strings while you play me
Why do I move with your movements
Up on your stage I’m performing
Left you but I’m back here on your sofa
Thought I needed space I want you closer
So why do I move with your movement
Under your strings like a puppet?

I’m too up front to turn my back on this
Swear you did a number on me like some raffle tickets
Lucky you, you stuck with me might as well tattoo this shit
Be like that sometimes, you show up I be acting different

Maybe I’m crazy
But if I lose you
Oh I don’t know if I’ll survive
You drive me crazy
For your amusement
And I’m along for the ride

Got me talking to myself
Saying to myself "oh no"
Sweet nightmare not a beautiful dream
Should move it to the left, move it to the left
Oh I, know I know better, know I know better

So why do I feel like your puppet
You pull my strings while you play me
Why do I move with your movements
Up on your stage I’m performing
Left you but I’m back here on your sofa
Thought I needed space I want you closer
So why do I move with your movement
Under your strings like a puppet?

I don’t mind the strings attached
Big fax no printer
Why you over there looking like a snack
And I’m the whole dinner

Sweet like stevia
No Wonder Stevie isn’t superstitious
I don’t see no competition that’s a Bird Box
You’re the ribbon in my sky
Trippin playing chicken
Hit me like a head on collision.

Maybe I’m crazy
But if I lose you
Oh I don’t know if I’ll survive
You drive me crazy
For your amusement
And I’m along for the ride

Got me talking to myself
Saying to myself "oh no"
Sweet nightmare not a beautiful dream
Should move it to the left, move it to the left
Oh I, know I know better, know I know better

So why do I feel like your puppet
You pull my strings while you play me
Why do I move with your movements
Up on your stage I’m performing
Left you but I’m back here on your sofa
Thought I needed space I want you closer
So why do I move with your movement
Under your strings like a puppet?
