A vivid portrait of a '70s record that is still as fresh and memorable today as when it was released more than two decades ago. Pioneering pop/jazz band Steely Dan, formed by Donald Fagen and Walter Becker in the early seventies, had already secured five Top 40 albums before the release of Aja in 1977. Aja, however, was to prove to be the biggest selling album of Steely Dan's illustrious career, reaching No. 3 on the Billboard chart and spending a year in the Top 40. Becker and Fagen, renowned for their relentless perfectionism in the recording studio, recall the history of an album that was a year in the making, but rewarded with a Grammy Award and three hit singles. Steely Dan's Aja has proven to be one of the most outstanding jazz-rock albums in the history of popular music and now its story is told in this fascinating documentary.

Lyrics:

These times are troubled and these times are good
And they're always gonna be, they rise and they fall
We take 'em all the way that we should
Together you and me forsaking them all
Deep in the night and by the light of day
It always looks the same, true love always does
And here by your side, or a million miles away
Nothin's ever gonna change the way that I feel,
The way it is, is the way that it was
When I said I do, I meant that I will 'til the end of all time
Be faithful and true, devoted to you
That's what I had in mind when I said I do

I said turn it up!

It was just a Friday
She said she want take it back to my place
Mm, and I think that she like me
Exciting
Name ain’t even Kiki but she riding
Mm, she might get upgraded from side ting
Friday
She said she want take it back to my place
Mm, and I think that she like me
Exciting
Name ain’t even Kiki but she riding
Mm, she might get upgraded from side ting

Friday
Riding on me like a highway (aye)
We ain’t even make it out the driveway
And she just hit me up, cause she saw my band on MySpace
Now I’m number one in her top eight
I got a brand new pack (yuh)
Rock is the brand new rap (uhah)
She wanna break her back (uh)
Bang till I break my neck
Oh my god, how are you so genius
She said ‘please can I lick your penis

It was just a Friday
She said she want take it back to my place
Mm, and I think that she like me
Exciting
Name ain’t even Kiki but she riding
Mm, she might get upgraded from side ting
Friday
She said she want take it back to my place
Mm, and I think that she like me
Exciting
Name ain’t even Kiki but she riding
Mm, she might get upgraded from side ting

Yeah, yeah
Told her my way, or hit the highway
You were by my side but never really my bae
Caught me in my prime completely out your mind bae
Swallowing my pride, I won’t waste your time
You’ll be falling in and out of love
Put a smile on your face like makeup, tripping off the drugs

It was just a Friday
She said she want take it back to my place
Mm, and I think that she like me

A homage to Johann Sebastian Bach, the composer of the Christian message: the music documentary Vita Christi—Bach, the Fifth Evangelist was produced for the 2013 Bach Festival Leipzig. With the theme, "Vita Christi", that year's edition of the festival retold the life of Jesus Christ in oratorios, masses and cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach and composers close to him. Peter Schlögl's music documentary highlights the festival program, shows rehearsals and concert excerpts and hears from musicians and Bach experts.

Years later, the timeless quality of this documentary is still evident. Not only does it provide insight into the authentic places where Johann Sebastian Bach worked, it also convincingly conveys the motives of the important Baroque composer. Bach was a Christian composer, who placed himself and his work entirely at the service of God. His compositions retell the life of Jesus Christ as if they were one of the four Gospels of the New Testament. This is why Bach is referred to as the “Fifth Evangelist.”

LYRICS:
Someone’s Daughter

You teach me how to be a man,
Though I am someone’s daughter.
The path of warrior was set for me
And I had to try on the armor.

No it doesn’t suit me
And it feels so heavy!
I’m frightened
And so ashamed.
That I have to combat the world alone,
That I have to swing my sword alone.

So my gentleness is turned into rigidity.
And once soft the skin is nothing but the scale.
One by one I lead unequal fights, eventually
The beauty’s nose is broken, and I faint

Life feeds me bullets and stones
And I stitch myself up alone.
If I cry I will run my tears
Inside of my blood-stained cheeks.
I’ve found talents beyond comprehension,
All my battles are a sight to behold.
Wading through the hardship alone
Translating my body to soul!

Oh brutal world! I’m not your enemy.
This role of warrior brings nothing but the misery!
If a woman’s wings are trimmed
And her radiance is dimmed,
This is over. This is over!
You will see her ride a broom.

With a force to be reckoned,
To be no longer the second,
I am no longer a daughter!
I eat them for breakfast,
I eat them for lunch,
I have audacity to throw the first punch!

I dwell in the shadows.
I sleep in the light.
I am no longer a daughter.
I throw the first punch!

Lyrics:
Uh oh
Uh oh
Uh oh
You made a mistake
Uh oh
Uh oh
Tell me things that can’t be true

Your slacks are on fire
I’m fanning the flames
Like a vampire
Stood out in broad day
Shoulda been wiser
While pickin’ out
What you were gonna say
oh

Fool me once
That’s one too many
Better luck next time you’ve met me
Where’s the dunce
Who caught you meddling

Turn around
Uh oh

Uh oh
Uh oh
Uh oh
You made a mistake
Uh oh
Uh oh
Tell me things that can’t be true

You’re sweating this time
I’m reading your eyes
You’re being called out
‘Cause you slipped your mouth
Your face has turned pale
Gone faint, you’re not well
While you were distracted
I cast a spell

Uh oh better run away now
Uh oh you’ve made a mistake aw
Uh oh got nothing else to say to you
Uh oh

Uh oh
Uh oh
Uh oh
You made a mistake
Uh oh
Uh oh
Tell me things that can’t be true

Forgive this wed intermission
Tragically I’m not the victim here
If only I fell for your fiction
Tell me things that can’t be true

Lyrics:
I got a pocket full of stones
And I could sink to the bottom
Lately I just feel alone
Getting lost in my problems

Many days and many nights
I have to face so many fights
When all along we could’ve been getting high
Don’t you think it's time
Think it's time

If you wanna know when right now
Don't you leave me hanging with my feet off the ground
Baby don't look down
Take me to another level
I wanna be heaven bound
I wanna be heaven bound

Sunny days come and go
I kind of took it for granted
My selfish ways are getting old
Leaving us empty handed

Many days and many nights
I had to face so many fights
When all along we could’ve been getting high
Don’t you think it's time
Think it's time

If you wanna when right now
Don't you leave me hanging with my feet off the ground
Baby don't look down
Take me to another level
I wanna be heaven bound (I wanna be)
I wanna be heaven bound

All along we could’ve been getting high
Don’t you think it's time
Now I know it's time

I’m telling you when right now
Don't you leave me hanging with my feet off the ground
Baby don't look down take me to another level
I wanna be heaven bound

Don't you leave me hanging with my feet off the ground
Baby don't look down take me to another level
I wanna be heaven bound

Heaven Bound
Keep releasing all the pressure
I wanna be Heaven bound
Take me to another level
I wanna be heaven bound

Keep me floating on forever
I wanna be Heaven bound

I wanna be wanna be Heaven bound (I wanna be Heaven bound)

Yeah baby take me now
I wanna be heaven bound

Yeah baby take me now
I wanna be heaven bound

Yeah baby take me now
I wanna be heaven bound

Yeah baby take me now
I wanna be heaven bound

Yeah baby take me now
I wanna be heaven bound

Yeah baby take me now

Listen to the best workout music mix while you exercise. Stay motivated and get the best results! This mix includes popular workout songs from 2022 and 2023 that will help you to stay motivated during your training session.

It's all about the grind during workouts. You can get there with the aid of a carefully chosen song—one that ignites your body from the inside out like a literal shot to the heart.

A few things are necessary for an epic workout song to be amazing. One, a peppy tempo. Another is song lyrics. But a great workout song has to make you feel great—the kind that helps you finally find your pace on a lengthy run. Since exercising is also about improving yourself, sometimes you simply need a brief boost to remind you that you're already making progress.

Not in the mood going to the gym? By playing this music and transforming your living room into a dance club, you can trick yourself into a brilliant cardio workout. Finding the motivation to get up and exercise can be a constant struggle, even for the most devoted athletes and fitness aficionados. Sometimes you have to delve really deep to start that new jogging program or yoga routine you've been wanting to try. Unfortunately, motivation does not always come when you least expect it. In reality, feeling motivated enough to actually go to the gym is a very different level of inspiration. So, you ask, how would you workout? The ideal way to begin is undoubtedly with the correct workout music.

The best method to stay motivated while you're feeling stuck is through music. The proper song may turn an activity from a chore to a genuinely enjoyable jam session, and before you know it, you might even start to feel a little bit better! We've done the hardest work for you because we know how difficult it can be to put up a playlist of truly excellent music. (In addition, it was entertaining.) Oh, and if you're having trouble deciding what to do once you arrive to the gym, there are several apps to help with that. Of course, you'll need to find that hot fitness facility 'fit so you can flex your moves while listening to your perfect soundtrack.

From dance flows graciousness of Max Oazo to blood-siphoning beats from Ojax, Bonzana, Camishe, there's genuinely a bop for each wellness character. So no matter what your music vibe, these hot tracks will help you through your workout feeling more pumped than ever.
